Sales person who visited to provide quote was pushy and unreasonably priced. Would not recommend!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Bad Plumber, whose name is Edwin, completely botched a bathtub install. The miserable lying…read moresellers, whom I do not wish well, had removed the tub drain so that only the shower could be used. When I took a bath, the reason became obvious: the tub drained into the living room. The large volume of water was too much for the leaking pipes. ARRRRRGGGGHHH. So I replaced the tub with a bigger, deeper tub, and hired Bad Plumber to install it. He claimed that he repaired the leaking pipe. That was a lie. I took a bath, and it leaked again. Bad Plumber said that he would fix it. He did not return. So I called Roto-Rooter, because they guarantee their work. And they're a well-known company. Mike showed up on time. Gave me an estimate. It wasn't too bad. THEN he claimed that he needed a helper to thread a pipe through the ceiling, and no I couldn't do it. The other guy was going to cost an additional $450. UGH. For HOLDING A PIPE. He also insisted on replacing the bath fixtures. More money. Smh. They were brand new. So Mike did fix the leak. Months later, it's still holding up. But...he didn't want to replace the Sheetrock he cut out of the living room ceiling. He was going to just leave me WITH A LARGE HOLE IN MY LIVING ROOM CEILING. I told him that was unacceptable. He told me he's not a "drywall guy." I insisted he replace it, and he did, begrudgingly. He removed three panels from the bathroom wall, and didn't replace them, because "he's not a carpenter." They're still loose, because I can't quite get them back in. He left the old pipes and debris LYING ON MY DECK AND THE GRASS. I guess he's "not a garbage man" either. I should not have to clean up after a "professional," but I did. So....plumbing work: Excellent. No complaints. Mess left behind, extra helper nonsense, and sulking over the ceiling: Poor.

They were very fast, thorough, and repaired my plumbing issue below budget. No issues with the…read morerepairs to-date.

I had two problems that needed to be addressed. I had a fairly new toilet that hadn't been set…read moreproperly and was moving around the floor and leaking. Also, the cold water stopped working in my shower, making the shower unusable. I lost my husband this year and am never sure about what to do when things go wrong in the house, since I never had to address those problems in the past. I called 1-Tom and they made me feel completely confident about my choice. Right from the start, I liked the fact that they answered the phone and I didn't have to keep pushing buttons to get to the right person. I was told that they stood behind all their work and they would make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. Before Alex came to my home, I received a photo of him. He was confident and friendly and I immediately felt I was in good hands. Originally it looked like it was going to be a bad situation with the toilet and that the floor might have to be torn up. Alex showed me what the problem was and I could now see why the toilet couldn't be installed correctly in the first place. Alex called his boss and discussed what needed to be done. He was able to do it without damaging the floor, which was a huge relief. I trusted that 1-Tom did the best job possible for me while avoiding major repairs. I would definitely use their services again and recommend them to my friends.

Shinebright Plumbing I contracted with Shine Bright Plumbing…read moreand Heating LLC, located in Rocky Point, NY 11778, to repair a water leak in the floor of my shower. Chris Tirman, the owner, came and gave me a price of $2500 to rip out and replace the shower pan. Chris completed the repair in October of 2021, and I paid him. He suggested that I wait to use the shower until everything had dried. After five days, I used the shower. While using the shower, I noticed that water was pooling on the floor because the floor was not pitched correctly. I called him to let him know that the shower had standing water after I used it. Eventually, he returned and checked it out. He agreed that there was a problem and he would be back to fix it. After many months of calls to him with little or no response, I called him to let him know I would be taking him to Small Claims Court as his work was defective. In August of 2022, I was issued a judgement against Mr Tirman and Shine Bight Plumbing and Heating in the amount of $2500 through the Brookhaven Town Small Claims Court in Patchogue, NY. Unfortunately, Mr Tirman has refused to pay that claim. My suggestion is that you choose another plumber to fix any problems you may have with your plumbing issues.

We found Chris and he has been absolutely awesome to work with. He's incredibly punctual and responsive and the work is the absolute best quality. He did a great job installing water lines to an outdoor shower location as well as installed a slop sync with sump pump in our basement. The pricing was very fair and the work was done efficiently. Recently we upgraded our Gas Dryer. I stupidly paid for installation of the gas line by Home Depot and they sent techs who did not do the job well at all and left me with a gas leak. I was able to text Chris about the problem and within an hour he was here to fix the shotty work of the installers. I should have just utilized him to begin with. Chris is now our go to plumber for anything water or gas in our home. I've seen through social media that he is also taking on some really impressive projects an is forward thinking around new types of plumbing technologies. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for plumbing working in the Nassau/Suffolk areas.
