It appears that they have been expanding or perhaps merged, or perhaps we're taken over. But the dynamic has changed for sure. in addition, I took my bike in for a tuneup, and they made me come in twice, once to look it over, and then again for the actual appointment. So I've had about three or four people reach out to me since my review…read more The conclusion of my tale: I did reach out to them. I asked for them to finish what they started and I would pay for the components. They would have to install them and set up the geometry as part of the "original" fitting. They refused. I then asked for $150 back, as that is the hourly rate and time they said they required to finish the unfinished job. They refused. I went to and got a new custom fitting. Another $500. Guess what? Saddle was wrong! Cranks wrong! Geometry wrong! Peddles not needed! The only thing they got right was the handlebars and shifter location. I got more new components put on. I rode almost pain free from that point further. I returned about thirty days later for a quick tweeking. Rode most of the summer. Then I had a small issue. Called them up. Guess what? They saw me, ran me through a secondary fit and some tweeks at no additional fee. That is proper service. That is how you treat your clients.

Also with the intention of buying a new Ogio bag for my clubs and small walking bags for both of us. To our shock, their "master fitter" not only refused to do a fitting "because it was too close to closing time", but wouldn't even schedule a fitting for us on another day. Instead, he told me to "go ahead and try to book a time on line". I get that we were there later in the evening, but to refuse to help with a fitting, direct us towards some clubs that would work for us or to even put in the effort to schedule a time for us to come back, blows my mind! Being in sales, if a potential customer came to me and wanted to buy several high value items, the last thing I would tell them is to go away and look it up online. Getting people through the door and ready to spend money is the whole reason stores spends millions on advertising every year. This guy took that opportunity and absolutely blew it! Not only losing revenue of a returning customer for the store, but also the opportunity to outfit a new golfer who needed everything from shoes, to gear, and a whole set of clubs. We would have spent at least $3,000- $4,000 this evening, probably more, had we been given the opportunity. Instead we spent about 20 minutes browsing around, picking out the Ogio bag, the Stealth Driver, the Ping putter, the Callaway set of irons we will now purchase from another retailer before driving the 40 minutes back to our house without spending a dime in that store. Maybe it's because I'm a woman that he didn't take my business seriously. Maybe he just didn't want to actually have to do his job. Maybe he was tired or lazy or just didn't give a care. I don't really care about the why. What I do care about is where I spend my and if that retailer values my business. Clearly this guy didn't want our business this evening. I hope he has the opportunity to see this and more importantly, I hope he works on commission.

Unless you are medically unfit, you can do this. Exceptional customer service sums up the team at Jim Thorpe River Adventures (aka LOC). They are extremely well organized which makes for a great trip. Everyone from the moment you enter LOC until the very end was polite, professional and wanted to make sure you have a great time. Some tips to follow: you only need to arrive 15 minutes before your group time, this allows ample time to get situated. Buy their pre-made lunch, it is well worth the 10 bucks, bring extra water on the raft (especially in the summer). Use the bathroom before you get on the bus (and be quick). They give you a dry bucket for your lunch and items, yes you can bring your phone in a dry pouch. Wear a hat and a sun shirt, it is hot and sunny, without much shade. Jump in the water when you have the chance !! If you are a "full figured" person it will be difficult to re-enter the raft, be aware. The trip down river is very safe and well organized. The guides are VERY safety aware ! If you are nervous and listen to them, the team will get you down the river without a hitch ! A few suggestions: don't go on a busy holiday weekend, it can get crowded on the river, the safety briefing takes a long time and you a sitting in the sun (remove your vest and drink water), during July and August I would imagine the water is very low and slow (if it is a dry summer)...best only if you want to have a relaxing rafting trip. Overall, a bunch of fun. The entire family had a great time.
