I'm in search of a really good croissant. It was okay. I'll try it again on another day because maybe I got a bad batch. I also decided to pick up a few macaroons while I was there. Very Good! When I go to DoLy's it's for their Lavendar maccaroons and their chicken caesar salad! If I could try all their maccaroons, I would. They are so crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside! I've had a chocolate cupcake too which I enjoyed. Their other pastries look so delicious and fresh. Walked in here for the first time today. After wondering for several weeks what the big deal about French Macaroons was I picked DoLy's because of it's reviews. I'm no expert on these petite colorful cute little bites of deliciousness (never had any before today). But I do know what I like and I fell in love with these. I ordered a dozen almost one of each flavor. Both my boyfriend and I were impressed. The staff and other customers were friendly and helpful. Will be stopping by again. read more

Love the croissants, especially the ham and cheese. Go early in the morning for oven warm, they usually sell out by noon. I can't eat it everyday in good conscience though.... Super buttery, which also means deliciously flaky and tasty, but still... Honestly I'd stick to Starbucks for coffee and drinks, but the baked pastries here are awesome. Breakfast burrito is ok comfort food, but it's something I can make with ingredients at home. Staff is super friendly and feels like family. Everyone raves about the macaroons so I got a box of a few different flavor a to try out and it was just ok, but I'm no macaroon connoisseur. A co-worker suggested this place for breakfast, and MAAAANNN!!! It is really good! So we put in an order, I had a breakfast croissant (ham egg cheese) and when the food arrived, you can smell it throughout the office. The croissants are super fresh! Price is decent, didn't brake the bank account ($4). the only thing that could be just a lil better is portion(s). I'm a big guy with appetite about the same. My friends got me a birthday cake from here last year and since then we have customized birthday cakes for all our friends from this store (Tiramisu, Napoleon, cupcakes and etc.). The cakes are very yummy - moist, fresh and not too sweet. The design is very personalized and unique. Now we are actually looking forward to friends' birthdays because we can then order the cakes from here. We live kinda far from Long Beach. But every time we are in the area, we definitely drop by and pick up couple boxes of pastries - macarons, croissant, cupcakes.... They usually have some daily special favors; we would try it and never got disappointed! They are all consistently good and fresh. Prices are good too. read more

Nice and open store front, plenty of seating. The breakfast burrito and oatmeal were fantastic. Coffee was strong and flavorful, a good pick me up. The chocolate and salted caramel macaroons were so good that I would come back just based on how fresh and delicious they were. A definite must eat in the long beach area for breakfast. read more

The chocolate almond croissant is one of the most delicious things I've ever tasted, thank you very much. The bagel breakfast sandwich was very good too, although kind of heavy on the jalapenos, an unusual touch to most breakfast sandwiches. So I've been away for two years for work over seas. I come back to this very location and I guess it's the nostalgia kicking in but the macaroons are as amazing as I first remember. I know the draw is the colorful macarons, which are delectable (try the salted caramel and red velvet!), but this place has so much more to offer! My husband and I have come back again and again to sample nearly everything and NOTHING has disappointed. The cupcakes surpass any of the couture confections of Beverly Hills and I challenge you to find a better croissant in any of southern California. Jeez, this place is now overrun with macaron nuts (almonds, no doubt). They're good, but so is everything else. I work in the building and I've been coming here since they opened. I get lunch about once per week from Doly's and it's always Delectable. Every baked item has been really good and I can say that I've eaten them all at least once. But don't come just for sweets - the sandwiches are excellent and the coffee is also really good. Really happy to have these guys working in the building, but I'd come here anyway. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!! Working next door is soooooo hard! I absolutely can't resist walking in to try every single new baked goods they have. But not just that, they also have awesome sandwiches!!! And for a salad it's not some boring green leaves...they actually use Spinach! Very rare that I will see places serving salads by using Spinach. A one of a kind place, and the customer service??? I only recently was able to drop on in this "gem" of a Deli-Cafe and gee, was I overjoyed that I did. My guy and I were pretty hungry so we both had a sandwich and we shared (sort of) two dessert items. The croissants here rate up with the ones we had in Paris. Succulent, buttery, flaky, sweet and light. I had my breakfast/lunch Black Forrest Ham and cheese on one; heated a bit and.....I was on my way to being sold on this place. But I went further and on a relative's suggestion, tried the Almond Croissants (which have almond slivers & a light glaze on top) and now a die-hard fan.
