Just had warranty work completed more than a year after the completion date (3 year warranty). After our pool had several folks use the hand rail recently, it became loose. I called the warranty folks at Dolphin and I had a rep / repairman from Dolphin within two days l. There was an install/mounting issue which was identified and repaired within an hour- apparently some railing were installed missing securing plugs so they had some idea what to expect when they came out. The pool surface, filter and rock water feature are all working great still. read more

On July 22, 2022 we signed a contract with Dolphin Pools. Dustin Parker was our designer (salesman). Dustin helped us design a play pool using the maximum amount of space within the City of Peoria setbacks. Not only were we happy with the design, but the price was much better than quotes we received from other major pool builders. Dustin warned us it may be up to 10 months due to the availability of rebar and concrete. It took the city 2 months (to the day!) to approve the permits. The excavation started in mid-November and things started to fly by. We were happy with every subcontractor and our Construction Superintendent, Jake Wozniak, was on top of the whole process. Today is April 1, 2023 and the pool is ready for a swim! I highly recommend Dolphin Pools and every employee from Dustin Parker, to the office people in charge of scheduling the work, and our Super-Superintendent Jake Wozniak. read more

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Called for estimate. Was paired with Joe Ayers. Joe is a master of what he does. He was with us step by step from the initial design, to permitting, to start of construction. We never felt any pressure from him, and he was always plant and available. Had our pool built back in December of 2018. While no construction process ever goes perfectly I was very happy with the professionalism displayed by everyone we worked with at Dolphin. The reason I'm writing this now is for the follow up problems that have come up over the last couple of years. Nothing lasts forever and things will always need to be repaired or replaced. That being said, every time I contacted Dolphin over the past 3 years with a problem (sometimes caused by me) they were quick to get back to me and quick to make things right. We approached Dolphin Pools as a contractor for a new pool build in early August of 2023. It was part of a deal with the house we bought, that if we came in at a certain offer price, we would received a $60,000 credit with Dolphin Pools from the owner (I believe they had already had some sort of deal with them, but they had to move out of state, and were passing their offer on to their potential buyer). The showroom in N Phoenix is very nice, so many options to choose from, and the designer helped us plan out the perfect pool for our space and family. He assured us that if payments were received on time, we would likely have a finished pool by the end of November (90 days from permit file). Let me preface this by saying the materials Dolphin pools uses appear to be high quality, and our pool was installed exactly how we wanted it. By all appearances, it looks like a fantastic pool. However - communication is where Dolphin severely drops the ball. We were given a basic outline of how the installation would proceed. However, we were never informed of dates. It was just an outline of the ORDER in which things would proceed. If there were delays, or miscommunications with their crews, it was never conveyed to us unless I reached out and asked a specific question. And often when I did this, I received an exasperated answer, like I was bothering them by wanting to know about an $80,000 investment we were making with them (We upgraded several things so the price went up $20,000). Very rarely, if they told us something would happen on say, "Tuesday"- did that actually happen. It would be several days, if not weeks, later. No reasons given. Between weather and many holidays during our build (Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, MLK Day and even.... President's Day), our complete build time ended up being about 6 months total- not three. And rarely, like I said, were any delays communicated to us- I don't know how hard it is to send an email or have some sort of customer portal where updates are made- but apparently it's too much for Dolphin. I kept asking, are there any delays due to things being out of stock? No, no ma'am, as long as you pay promptly, there will be absolutely no delays. Which was an out-right lie. We HAND-DELIVERED check payments the day they were due, or earlier, for every step of the process. But what's even worse than the delays? Was the customer service we have received since we signed off on the pool being completed (and honestly even before it was completed). Within a week of install the pool flooded the yard. I asked for help and while they provided it- they were QUICK to assume WE had done something wrong. No, the float valve was not put in correctly. A few weeks later- the spa completely drained itself- again- something THEY did wrong. The pump was installed on the wrong side of the house so WE had to pay for an additional gate to be put in because they couldn't haul stuff out for final clean up cause the pump was in the way. (The head contractor was verbally upset when he saw the pump was installed wrong, but it was too late to correct it as the pool had been poured). The heater stopped working after a few weeks- also an error on them. But EVERY time I contacted them, it's like I'm completely bothering them and they do not care about their customers once they mark us as "done". Even though the pool is under warranty. And while signing with them- we did sign off that they wouldn't be responsible if there was damage to the yard- but they assured us this doesn't happen very often. Sure enough some of our water lines for the existing drip system were completely severed and we ended up flooding the yard when testing the system and had to pay several hundred dollars to get that fixed. Just today we noted the pump is making crazy noises, the heating system is acting weird, water features not working AND the self-cleaning system we upgraded to doesn't seem to be working (we've been out of town for over a week). I emailed Dolphin to ask if someone could come out, especially for the pump- I took video and photos to share. Immediately they write back saying it's probably our pool service people's fault (who do an exemplary job with communication and customer service) and to contact them- which told me Dolphin, again, just does not care about their customers after they have finished the pool. I do not recommend this company. If we ever are in the market to install a pool or spa again, Dolphin will not be considered. I will definitely do my own research on who gets stellar reviews for customer satisfaction AND makes a quality pool. read more

Went in several months ago to learn about the process of building a pool for a new build. Over several weeks we went through the design process and had it pretty much complete for our yard. Was just about finished with the quote, was just waiting for the last estimates from their 3rd party contractors to build a BBQ island and articulate grass installation. Never heard back from anyone after this. Sent several emails over the next few weeks asking if the quote was finished as we wanted to get the process moving so the backyard could start. Tried staying patient but after 2 months of being in the dark, we had already move on. We've moved on with another pool builder and I'm glad it's not with Dolphin. If we were ghosted that early in the project, I can't imagine what would've happened if the construction phase had started. read more

After writing my original review, a Dolphin higher-up reached out to me to try and make things right. We may or may not have been moved up the schedule a little bit and they completed the pool on January 13, 2021. So, just under 5.5 months total. Definitely longer than expected but we are happy with the end result as it looks very nice and we did not have to spend a lot on upgrades for that to be the case. The higher-up that reached out to me was very nice and genuinely seemed to care about our concerns. That was very helpful. They also offered solutions which I didn't feel I was getting previously. So, between the end result, Dolphin trying to make us feel like valued customers (once we complained), and the fact that we did not fail one inspection, I am happy to make their rating a 4. They don't deserve 5 because all of the complaints in my previous review were true and some of their subcontractors (such as paver layers) were sloppy. However, still very happy with our pool and the end result. I really hope they are good on their warranties. Although, hopefully we won't even have to deal with that. So, would I recommend them to someone? Yes, BUT I would warn them about delays and needing to reach someone higher up to get your issues resolved. *Note Dolphin did not do our other landscaping. Just the pool and the 12" travertine coping immediately surrounding the pool. read more

Most companies wouldn't even come out for a consultation for 3 months or more but Dustin came out within a few weeks, walked us through designs and features and answered all of our questions.
