Dolly's in Williamsport is a great place for breakfast. The food was tremendous and home cooked. Great extensive menu with so many choices. The prices were very reasonable and they had something for everyone. I tried the French toast and home fried potatoes ,which was fantastic. My husband got an omelette and bacon and son got eggs and sausage. Everyone was very happy. It feels like you go back in time to an old time diner. It was busy, but we got a table and waited on quickly. Our waitress was so sweet. Definitely a family place. read more

Connie had great service quick on her feet and handled our party of 20 so well. Craig a local regular has jokes for days make sure you come by on Saturday that's when he's here. The Dolly sized pancakes are no joke bigger that your plate so come hungry. We were visiting from. Virginia so we ate breakfast out every morning. Dolly's was the best we found. The food was excellent and portions were generous. We had good service from a friendly server. I had a breakfast sandwich with eggs over hard, bacon and cheese on marbled rye toast and it was excellent. read more

Our second time here...wanted to give it another chance, but wish we had not. We sat for one hour and no food. Last year, sat forever as well. They did tell us last year they were short staffed so we knew going in it may take a while. They said nothing today. They have you seat yourself which is fine, but I suggest not filling the tables with people if you do not have the staff to take care of them. We ended up walking out w no food. We will not be returning. Unless you want to sit for over an hour for eggs and bacon I suggest you don't go! read more

My sister and I love to try new restaurants for lunch. I've tried many different places in Williamsport and find Dolly's a true gem. The Rachael Sandwich was done extremely well with Just the right amount of Turkey. My sister tried on toasted Rye instead of a wrap. My Eggs Benedict was out of this world! Service was friendly and helpful. The diner atmosphere was very Quaint and welcoming with black and white checkered floors and marble tables. Traveled several hours to enjoy a fun weekend in Williamsport with my life long friends and we wanted an authentic local diner and we went to Dolly's Diner and immediately felt victimized. When we walked in, Laura was rude and unfriendly and went out of her way to embarrass us. After announcing to the entire restaurant that we can't sit anywhere, she finally let us split up between two tables. We sat down and felt too uncomfortable so we left and we would never go back. Waffle lovers meal has premade waffles heated on a grill. Hardly what a waffle lover would want. First ones were cold and sent back. Sausage overcooked. Hash browns marginal. Place was empty but still service was slow. Coffee was good. read more

It was very busy and they only had 2 waitresses that I could see so obviously it took longer. But.... I enjoyed an extra cup of great coffee (with my favorite creamer) and a great talk with my husband. We weren't in a rush and just waited patiently for our food which was fantastic as always. Things are tough all over for restaurant owners. I'm grateful Dolly's was able to remain open. read more

Came in for Breakfast but left eating lunch. I had the meatloaf with mash, corn and cold slaw. Hit the spot delicious. Mom had homemade ham and green bean soup with 1/2 a roast beef sandwich. Dad has his breakfast which looked really good. Very friendly staff that welcomes everyone with a smile. Made us feel at home. Place must be a local favorite. Have eaten here 2 times in the last week, once for lunch and once for breakfast. The lunch outing, the server was great, friendly and attentive, but irdered a medium well done burger and it came out rare, said something about it, and nothing got done. The breakfast was good other than cooking issues with the "crispy" scrapple i ordered was barely warmed, and the server was too busy running her mouth and flirting with a guy at the counter to do her job properly. Sent plate back because homefries were ice cold, and could hear cook complaining to server about it, all she fid was microwave the whole plate. May give them another try, but up in the air, right now. read more

We were down in Williamsport PA this year for the Little League World Series and found this diner on Yelp. My son, grandson & I had breakfast there 3 mornings and they were all delicious!! They have a nice menu and the waitresses were all very pleasant. One caveat- I ordered pancakes and didn't realize they were the size of a pie! Definitely worth going to if you're in the area. read more

I was passing through Williamsport today and stopped at Dolly's Diner hoping to get a classic diner meal. Based on the size of the menu it looks like breakfast is their number one meal but I decided to grab some lunch and ordered the open faced roast beef sandwich. First the positives, my waitress was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and inviting. It was very crowded and I was lucky to find a table. I should've known when I looked around me and everybody had breakfast on their tables but again I was looking for lunch. The open faced roast beef platter came out with mashed potatoes, roast beef piled on Texas toast and a side of corn. It was quite possibly the worst open faced roast beef sandwich I ever had, the meat was dry and burnt around the edges. I've had beef jerky that was more tender than this roast beef. On the other hand the mashed potatoes were excellent and the gravy was very good. Corn is corn and it could've used a little bit more butter. Even though my sandwich was horrible I'm willing to go back and give Dolly's a second chance and this time I will order breakfast. read more

When walked in we got yelled at about not sitting in the section on the right. So not welcoming! Got kraut dog and baked beans! Both kraut and beans were cold! They did take the beans off but they were in such a hurry to get out of there and it showed. Not going back there very fast! I wasn't paying for a cold meal! read more

Although I asked for medium rare, the edges leaned closer to medium well. That said, the steak was thoroughly seasoned and tender throughout. The sweet potato fries were heavily seasoned with sea salt, though the potatoes themselves were sweet enough to balance it out. The creamed corn was the most pungent and watery component. I wished the sauce had been thickened more, as it pooled underneath the steak and softened the bottom crust. Overall, this dish was hefty and a steal for the price. *Frost Bite: one of the seasonal mixed drinks. The Malibu and pineapple juice gave this a pina colada style profile. The blue curacao added a striking snowy appearance, though the drink itself leaned quite sweet. *Jingle Juice: another seasonal option, though this one packed a stronger alcohol punch. However, the cranberry and orange juices were barely noticeable, so it did not quite deliver the spiked fruit punch profile I was expecting. I loved the generous portions and strong flavors. I've had several experiences at this restaurant, and I'm consistently disappointed by one particular waitress who is short with black hair. She always carries an attitude that makes dining uncomfortable, and instead of focusing on her customers, she openly discusses personal drama in the dining area for everyone to hear. It's incredibly unprofessional and distracting. To make matters worse, she is often rude to her fellow waitresses, creating a tense atmosphere that detracts from the overall experience. Since mine is there, I feel qualified to offer an opinion because it means I eat there frequently and consume all the menu has to offer not just one offering. No less than five different cooks have prepared my food and I have never sent back a plate, cup, bowl, or basket. I've been eating at this restaurant for a couple years and let me tell you William S's review says more about Willie than it does about the place. First off, the staff here work hard, and most of us locals appreciate that. Complaining about wait times and drinks like coffee and chocolate milk taking "too long" just sounds petty. Cold eggs and missing toast? That happens sometimes in any busy diner. Most people just ask politely and get it fixed. The owner pays the light bill and the wait staff will heat up anything you ask them to. As for the owner being "defensive," maybe she was just tired of being talked down to. There's a difference between giving feedback and acting like you're the food critic of a small-town breakfast joint. What Willie completely ignores is that the wait staff and owner are very community oriented. They often look after the old timers who come in daily, and they've even been known to feed the homeless when they can. During the Fireman's carnival they remove desserts off their menu and let the cake wheel have the business. They currently are making Christmas happen for several less fortunate children through their Wish List project. That kind of generosity matters more than nitpicking over toast. And honestly, given the level of crying Willie has done in his review, he might be better off sitting in a baby chair (THRONE) instead of the freshly re‑upholstered booths the rest of us are now enjoying. Let's be real: Willie writes like he's the self‑appointed "food critic of Lewisburg," still sore that the Country Cupboard closed and bitter that he can no longer critique the bonnet‑wearing waitresses there. Now he's taking out that frustration on the only diner left standing. Willie's review should be deleted because it mischaracterizes the attributes of the waitstaff, the food, and even the utensils found in this fine eatery. 1000's of people have eaten here. As for this regular, I'll be back in the morning -- despite Willie's small‑minded attempt to hurt the reputation of the Old Farmer's Table. It gets Five Stars from me only because I can't give it six.

I LOVE this place…read more I came here all the time for their various bowls. This place looks like a typical diner, but it is actually one of the most innovative restaurants in the Lewisburg area. It gets really crowded around lunch on the weekends so there can be a wait of up to an hour. Get here early around 11-11:30 to beat the wait. There is no dinner service and it closes early in the afternoon. Service is very good for a diner and they always check on customers and refill water regularly. There are so many options of food from traditional breakfast dishes, lunch bowls with interesting twists, and a lot of smoothie and juice options. I have tried nearly all their bowls, and I love their Korean and carne asada bowls. Milkshakes are also solid here. I had the cannoli once and it was massive. This can be a treat on its own.

On a previous visit, we seated ourselves as we had always done in the past and were scolded as though we were were children that had something wrong wrong because the policy had changed. So this time, when we saw a sign on the patio saying to wait to be seated, we did exactly that. Within not even a moment, the same waitress approached us with an attitude, asking "are we waiting on something or what are we doing" We explained that we were simply following the sign and what we had been told last time, but she continued making comments. Later, my aunt overheard her talking negatively about our table to another employee, and after they realized my aunt over heard she continued making comments directly to her as she tried walking past to go back to the table. When my aunt dismissed the initiative by symply saying she wasnt going to discuss it they laby responded by saying thats probably for the best and continued anyway as my aunt walked away. When I finally asked if there was an issue, she became argumentative rather than simply acknowledging the misunderstanding. We had no problem following the seating policy--There was just absolutely no reason for the hostility from the moment we arrived. It's a shame because we genuinely enjoy this restaurant and the food is always excellent, but this particular service experience was unnecessarily rude and unprofessional.
