There are Covid restriction instructions on the door and posted immediately inside (it is cold after all, might as well read them indoors). There are instructions to bag your own items and to not use your own reusable bags while you're browsing and to use their baskets instead. There is hand sanitizer before the second set of doors going into the store. There are arrows on the floor indicating which way to walk down the aisles and social distancing stickers on the floor at check-out. I guess I haven't really paid attention at the dollar store but they really have all kinds of interesting stuff. I know that during the initial lockdown, weights and other fitness equipment was in short supply. I did see that they had small hand weights available. This location had a pretty extensive pet section with a better selection of dog toys and treats than most grocery stores actually. The line up was pretty long and next to the sweets aisle so I walked a path of temptation and somehow emerged without any additional sugary treats despite all the Valentine's, Easter, and very well priced goodies. If you do have a sweet tooth, the full-sized chocolate bars are a lot cheaper here - usually less than a dollar vs the ones at the supermarket.

They really need to increase the security at this Dollarama. I've been pushed by a random, sketchy person before, and I often see interesting characters lurking at this store. Selection at this store is pretty good and it's decently well maintained. They do have some issues where there isn't self-checkout and lack of cashiers can cause long lineups at the front. There are times where I've had to wait over 15 minutes just to check out one item.

There are a few steps to take to head down to the store. I don't know whether there is a ramp or an elevator for those who need accessibility assistance. I frankly didn't see one. This store is pretty deep. It's laid out as you'd expect at any Dollarama. I found Pepsi products. I got a couple of Diet Pepsi one-litre bottles. I also hit the cookie section and got a box of Dare lemon creme cookies. A box of Dare cookies goes for $2.50 here. It's much cheaper than most grocery stores that offer them at around $4 each. There are also icy cold drinks in the fridge. I didn't need them to be that cold. The one-litre bottles were also a better deal despite being at room temperature. I was happy seeing candy and snacks in this store. I was also pleased with the selection of instant noodles. What felt weird to me was lining up at the checkout. You had to move beyond the huge pillar. If you stood where you'd typically wait for the next available cashier, you can't see half of the checkout are thanks to this pillar. I got a helpful woman. She asked if I needed a bag. I wasn't thinking that I'd be shopping, but I was parked across the street and declined. It wasn't worth paying for a bag when I could carry three items. I paid with a credit card. All was well. I wished her a good evening. She reciprocated. I left, headed up the stairs, walked across the street, and took the elevator down to my car parked underground. This store had everything that I needed. The aisles are very well organized and neatly stocked with tons of stuff including quite a few different items I've never seen at the DT. Tons of garden equipment. Lots more varieties of candy. Several touristy items including big Canadian Maple Leaf flags and towels. The prices are not a dollar, or even $1.25. I saw some bargains but also things as much as $5.
