I know that's their process and it's all final sale anyway, but it'd be ideal to have an itemized breakdown. I thought the sweatshirt I was buying was $26 because it was situated in the same display as other sweatshirts that were $26 (display pictured). My fault for not taking note of the specific one I picked up, which was $38. The price difference felt a bit outrageous for the same brand of shirt and I had to email them to confirm the price. The line to check out took about 25 minutes. I am in my 30s, but I do have a bad back, so standing in place hurts. I listened as they gracefully apologized to all the older folks ahead of me, but they barely said a word to me when it was finally my turn, much less an apology for the excessive wait. I just wish that, being that it's nearly 2025, they'd consider a more efficient check-out system. I included that feedback in my email to them, though they didn't acknowledge it sadly. That would've been a great time to apologize and confirm that they will do a better job of treating guests equally regardless of appearance in the future. I love Lazy Daisy's Richmond locations so I decided to check this one out while in town. Recently visited this Target location and experienced customer service at a disappointing level. I…read morehave always enjoyed visiting this location, however today's visit involved a Manager on Duty that did not seem aware of the customer check out process during the day after Christmas shopping. I entered a check out service line and placed the items I wanted to purchase in the conveyor belt (there was only one person in front of me who was checking out). The Manager on Duty came over and spoke to the cashier about covering his break. Meanwhile, more customers entered the line behind me. After watching me place all of my items for purchase, the cashier tells me that she can't check me out because she has to go cover Guest Services. Her announcement was not loud enough for the customers (2-3 people) behind me to hear. This created a check out environment that included one cashier checkout line and the remaining registers were self checkout. The line volume increased and resulted in me leaving the store without making a purchase as I watched the manager on duty walk over and stand in Starbucks as customers looked confused about what happened to the previous checkout line. As someone with Manager on Duty experience in a high volume customer service environment, I realize the importance of awareness during busy time frames. I also understand the importance of not putting employees in situations that results in the loss of business. I hope that Target sees this review and takes a moment to understand how this incident affects the level of customer service that Target customers are accustomed to.

I walked to where the items were that I knew I was going to need. The one item that I was definitely looking for was an air freshener. I was happy to see that not only did they have them in stock, but many to choose from. Unlike other stores of the caliber. The biggest hold up here was the registers. Most people are ushered to the self checkouts. There were not many regular checkouts open. Not everybody knows how to use the self checkouts, so the ushering of the people here kind of made a bottleneck and backup.

Three times in the past year I've walked out before completing my purchase. I arrived at HomeSense at 8:15 p.m., well before the posted 9:30 p.m. closing time. By 8:30,…read moreannouncements had already started telling customers to make their final selections because the store would be closing "in an hour," and those announcements continued every 15 minutes. I was shopping for a newly purchased home and planned to buy a couch, a rug, and several other items. At approximately 8:30, I asked an associate how to purchase the couch and arrange delivery. She provided the information, and I continued shopping for a rug. At 8:45, I needed to use the restroom. An associate told me the restrooms were already closed because they had been cleaned and that I could not use them. The store was not closing for another 45 minutes. I then spoke with the manager and explained that I was prepared to spend approximately $1,000 but would have to leave without purchasing anything because I needed to use the restroom. Instead of attempting to resolve the situation, she justified the decision by saying the store closed in 44 minutes and only had four employees working. To be clear, I was not asking for special treatment. I was a paying customer asking to use the restroom during normal business hours. HomeSense chose to let a roughly $1,000 sale walk out the door so I could go across the street to Wawa and use their restroom. I also asked for the district manager's contact information and was refused. Apparently, sales must be so good that this location can turn away customers, close amenities nearly an hour early, and dismiss a significant purchase without concern. This was one of the most unnecessarily frustrating and poorly handled retail experiences I have had. I will be spending my money elsewhere.

The bathroom is in the back left and wonderful and always clean. The staff I've always been amazing. I constantly see them helping out customers getting things to their cars and being patient with them whenever they have a question. I can always find a good deal there especially in the clearance section. They are always getting new stock in, so I frequent there at least once a week. Then they had 50% off their Halloween, there was Halloween lanterns and with the 50% sign their mixed was a fall lantern. I picked it up thinking it's 50% too and the cashiers like no it's only Halloween well it shouldn't be with the 50% off. There is miss pricing all over the store. I was very disappointed, and that will be the last time I visit that store and the clerk got attitude because I was pointing things out.
