I do notice they try to keep up with cleaning and suppling the essentials. But, it can be a hit of miss especially when it is super busy. They do offer discounts for military in certain stores, sometimes teacher discounts, and also discounts for emergency service employees. You just have to ask honestly sometimes there is a sticker on the window. The smaller buildings have garden items (I found a big terra cotta planter that I purchased) and statues. One outbuilding housed some lovely art deco pieces, vintage hats and purses, wing chairs, perfume bottles, and even an antique typewriter. The cute little she shed had kitchenware, vintage aprons, old utensils, some wooden chairs, a tiny table and a few other cool pieces (I bought a cute white deco bookcase from this area). The main building is full of antique furniture, dining sets, china and crystal, tea things, pictures, lamps, mirrors, rugs, jewelry, and even some homemade crafts. I was in "junking" heaven. This company is the absolute worst! We ordered a futon and cushion for our daughter. The store…read morewhere we ordered it was an hour and a half away. We drove 90 minutes to pick the order up. When we arrived, the store manager explained that the only one they had was the floor model and that it was damaged, so they would have to order another. We took the cushion home and waited. Two days later, another store rep contacted us and told us that our order was in. We drove up a second time. They loaded it into our car and we drove home. When we got home, we noticed that it was damaged and was the floor model. We called the store and the apologized and said that had to order the item again. About a month later, it FINALLY came in. We drove back up with the damaged item and replaced it with the new item. The store did take off a percentage for the inconvenience. The really bad part is their awful credit card company. My wife fell for the bait and opened a credit card to get the 30% off discount. There was a lot of confusion with what we owed because of all the issues above. When she went to pay the credit card, ON THE DUE DATE, she did it in the late afternoon. Later, we found out that the credit card company charged a $30 late fee, even though she paid it ON THE DUE DATE. When she called to get the bogus fee removed, they told her the fee was because she made the payment after 5 PM and they couldn't process it until the following day. They also gave lame excuse after lame excuse for why they couldn't credit the full fee back. They offered a "one-time courtesy credit" of $15. When she elevated it to a supervisor, he wouldn't change it and said that $15 was the most they could do. They also charged another bogus $30 fee which they refused to refund. This credit card company that World Market uses is absolutely the worst, by far, that we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Now, we have paid the card off and are trying to close the account. Even closing the account is near impossible because every representative wants to read a long-winded script on why we shouldn't close it. This is so appallingly bad, that I cannot understate how horrible this company is. We're closing the account and will NEVER shop with this company again. If the CEO of this company, Eric Hunter, ever gets this feedback and reads it, he should do the right thing and send us at minimum $45 for the returned fees, the wasted time and effort of Three 3-hour round trips, and probably about an hour of wasted time on phone calls trying to reason with mindless "service" representatives that provide zero help and can only read from infuriating scripts.
