Yeah, there are a plethora of discount stores out there, so it takes a lot to stand out among them. Well, one stop by Homebuys told my lady and I all we needed to know. This place has SO much stuff at GREAT prices. We went somewhat on a whim one night after I'd casually mentioned it to my lady... And we left with a couple bags worth of excellent deals. The place itself is pretty big and they have a big variety of goods to offer. From food, to furniture, to clothing, to home decor, to wine and beer, to party favors, to toys... So much to see! The staff are really nice too. I think my lady and I were almost overwhelmed by it all! So far, we've gone back at least twice within two weeks for more deals. This isn't your average discount shop, it's BETTER, and much better maintained than Ollie's or Dollar General plus much more variety. Plus they actually have good craft beer and wine (Big selling point for ME there!). I'm pretty sure my lady and I will become regulars here for all the great deals!

I'm hesitant to take it back because this place is so trashy, I imagine they would accuse me of stealing it! This place is ghetto, no AC, and they sell expired food and cosmetics. There are racks of indoor and outdoor furniture, rows upon rows of decor items, aisle of pillows, a whole kitchenware section, seasonal goods, even snacks by the register. Most items were in line with the latest trends. A few classic pieces were thrown into the mix. Goods are well organized. There is more than enough parking. I wonder if the building was once a Costco or Sam's Club. That is how much parking is available for the one store. Checkout was more time than one would expect. Being 7th in line, with 3 cashiers, I was not expecting a 16 min wait. Cashier was also aggressive about signing up for their rewards program.

We did notice a lot of people walking out empty-handed. Just a few minutes into my visit I quickly figured out why. To call this place a thrift store is really stretching it. The prices here are completely inflated. I could go to a Ross or Burlington and buy most of this stuff for less money than they're charging for it used. A few things here and there appear to be reasonably priced, but if you want anything that has a name brand on it, you're going to completely overpay. Shoes, T-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts, you name it and it was overpriced. I will never go back to this store again, there aren't that many deals to be found and if there are, I don't have the time to search for them.

If you're a church or non profit you can shop here for foods, hygiene and family items like…read moreformula, diapers etc. The mission of the Freestore is to end hunger and the story of their evolution is humbling. This is a warehouse (think Sam's Club) full of canned items, fresh vegatables and meat, fruit, drinks etc. It's absolutely unbelievable. There is also a section they give you 30 minutes to shop and everything is free! (after you make a purchase) Fresh vegetables, meats, fruits, hipster juices and all types of random goodness.
