Little did they know I'm half Chinese heh! This is a fun little ethnic store on Pleasant Street in Malden that reminds me of the underground shops I frequent in China. That's not to say they are selling knockoff''s or B-grades.....but things do look very similar, hmmmmmm. It's one of those random $ store with most items at the $1 range, but of course a few like plants and TV's a little bit more. But in all, it's a fun store to peruse if you are looking to spend a hour doing some random one stop shopping. Gag gift - check, Moth Balls - check, Chinese inspired items - check, check check, sheets - check, toilet paper - check, moth balls - check , black & White TV - Check, Roni * house warming gift spoiler * a bamboo plant - check, cereal - check, suitcases - check, Wrapping paper - check, diapers - check, Belts - check, Chinese New Year Decorations - check, batteries check, lamps - check, shower curtains - check...........1 hour later .............spices - check, random bathroom toiletries - check, laundry soap - check, tools - check, school supplies - check, scrunchies - check, hair product check Oh did I mention everything is some weird sub brand with foreign lettering on it? Who cares! When you are on a budget, a cheap bastard or just want to spend a few hours amazed by the interesting trinkets this is the place for you. You will walk out spending $50 bucks and have 10 bags! * Not to mention, I think there is a 1 review a month quota for the town you reside in, so hopefully this covers it. So why 4 stars instead of 5? IDK it kind of smells a little too much like moth balls at times and I hate that smell. But at the end of the day it's a little Chinese family trying to make an honest living, so I though they deserved a nod. Hehe - and I needed something else to add to my home town list.

Feels: I'm not too familiar with Boston, but I was told this is one of the original areas of the city. There are lots of businesses and apartments nearby, so the neighborhood feels lively. The shop itself is pretty vibrant and spans two floors. They carry a wide range of apparel--from vintage pieces to newer items and even costumes. Customer Service: Awesome. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall: 5 stars. They had exactly what I needed, right when I needed it. If you're looking to refresh your wardrobe on a budget or find some unique costume pieces, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Tip: Check out their "by the pound" section--you can score some really great deals there.

Instead, Garment D. Is Organized, spotless and straight-up vibey. Two full floors to roam. Hot-pink walls, black-and-white checkerboard floors like stepping into an 80s music video. It's quirky, loud and proudly vintage. Everything's sorted with precision: pants with pants, denim with denim, tops with tops. These folks don't play around. And yeah, the majority of the clothing here is all use. But like I always do- I buy my stuff, take it home (or the cleaners), wash it and it snaps back looking like new. By the way- they do carry some new items- as in not used as well. My daughter and I bought some vintage denims, sweaters and a few other things. Zero mess. Zero stress. 100% unexpected.

Since my husband and I moved to Cambridge five and a half years ago for his graduate program, we've acquired almost all of our furniture here - everything from a leather couch and armchair set in excellent condition for a reasonable $600 to a gorgeous Crate and Barrel kitchen table for a mere $40. We've also purchased bookshelves, end tables, lamps, desks, and more. Obviously by virtue of fact that the furniture is by donation, there are always going to be some ugly or low-quality items to weed through, but I'd say it's well worth the time. As has been noted, the hours are very limited: currently Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. If possible, I'd strongly recommend arriving promptly at 10, especially on Saturdays: within 15 to 30 minutes of opening, often much of the best inventory has already been claimed.

TJ Max is THE place for holiday shopping for sure!! Everything you want is here!…read more I especially like their holiday gift sets that they place on tables right as you walk in - pretty much for any budget from $5, $10, $15, $20 and higher. We went today and bought a few gift items for those secret Santa / yankee swap gifts and holiday parties. Got a really nice "book" box of assorted teas 60 teabags for 9.99! A chocolates and cookies Ghirardelli's gift set for $20, an Italian chocolate box for $7 and a small box of Belgian chocolate for $5. Also picked up some snacks - moose munch caramel popcorn and a last minute checkout aisle grab of Cuddl Duds socks 4 pair pack for $10. Came home and wore them - very soft and warm cozy! Also got an arabbiata pasta sauce jar. Oh and a festive table runner for $17. Cashier was friendly and helped while I was loading our bags. Restroom was actually not too bad. When I asked the cashier if they had any other styles, she said no, but as I was leaving I noticed dozens of other gift cards displayed elsewhere in the store. By then, I didn't have time to wait again. The cashier seemed either poorly trained or just didn't care to help, which made the whole experience frustrating and a waste of time.
