The parking is atrocious, and I've almost gotten hit on multiple occasions by people speeding through, trying to cut off the light at 3009 and Woodland Oaks. Also, for some reason, my debit card will never work as debit, it always has to be run as credit. It's an out of state bank, but no other place has this problem. This means that if I get gas there, they put a $75 hold on my card for at least 3 days. It's a little frustrating. Needless to say, to get gas here, my gas light must be on. Otherwise, I'll head down 3009 to the other gas stations. Tiger Tote's saving grace: fresh-ish Krispy Kreme's in the morning :-)

This shopping center used to be home to CBQ Eatery, before they moved to New Braunfels. Why not eat some donuts or kolaches at Shipleys, and then go shopping at this expansive shopping center.

Server was friendly and got my order right and fast. The toasted sandwich was pretty good and the drink is unlimited due to two soda machines in the area. The value for the meal compared to other similar places outside the base is decent so the value you get on post will be better than outside or off-post! This commissary tends to have better options than the one on FT Sam. I have found a lot more of the staple items that I like to get, here at Randolph. Also, any of the times that I have shopped here have not been too crowded, which is nice. The store is very well stocked & clean. The layout is not too bad either & better than other commissaries that I have shopped in. Generally speaking, commissary pricing is usually close to what you would pay out on the normal economy, however I have seen some items that have been higher than say, Walmart or HEB. But, the trade off is that you're not paying tax on your groceries here, so it kind of evens out at times. I also appreciate the fact that the times that I have been here, the self-checkout line has not been insanely long. I imagine it probably can be though, depending on what time of day you are shopping. Fortunately, I live about equal distance between here & FT Sam, so I can easily go to either, since they both have different offerings. However, this will definitely be my go to.
