By the time I left, about 1 hr later, that parking lot was full. The amount and piles of clothing are insane, but as someone mentioned in the comments, you really have to be persistent and dig to get quality clothing, which, spoiler alert, I didn't! There were so many people, it was impossible to move around with ease, and I didn't have the patience to sort through all that mess for the perfect clothing item. Plus, the noise and assortment of running, crying and yelling children was not fun. After an hour, I could take no more, and speed walked out of there. I will say the value was amazing, though. On Tuesdays, they sell the clothing for .50! That's right, each piece less than a dollar, which explains the crowds and overflowing carts throughout the place. So the value is there, I just needed the endurance, know-how and focus, to find a great piece. Honestly, I don't know if I'll return. I may need more training on the Art of thrift. I was not impressed by the lack of higher end brands, so I'll continue shopping at my known spots. At the very least, because there's less of a commotion, and the thus an enjoyable shopping experience. Sorry! No pictures. I was too overwhelmed to take any. ‍

Before you go, this store isn't like other thrift stores, things aren't often as pristine (I was looking for stained clothes so this wasn't an issue), and the racks aren't really sorted. There's normally a giant pile of clothes to right of the entrance you'll see people rifling through. I thoroughly enjoy this store, but you need to have a good feel to find quality clothes. Tonight I scored J. Crew pink pants with no flaws. It's in there, just hard to find. That being said even not-so-great clothes are easy accept when the prices are so cheap. This is consistently the cheapest thrift store I've been to and I really appreciate that fact. They price to sell.

This store is not even a mile away! Amanda and Jerry are the couple who own this shop. Not too small, not too big, but clean, well-stocked, and orderly. All their stuff are amazing to browse and buy. I could not believe that most of what I needed were available to buy. I got a blowdryer, a dinner bowl, and an extension cord all just for $6. Amanda was such a friendly and helpful store owner. She is in a wheelchair but that does not hinder her from her hospitality and helpfulness. I know we have the large thrift stores and shops we mostly frequent but I call on all especially locals to visit this shop first. You will never regret it. I also shopped while enjoying the amazing amabience - music playing...soothing candlescent...postive and friendly vibe... Kudos to Amanda and Jerry for serving the local area with used but useful stuff. I pray for this store's amazing destiny.

One hundred percent of the proceeds of items sold at this shop funds the Helotes Humane Society located right next door. The old house is the thrift shop. All the items sold at the thrift shop are well organized and labeled nicely. There are so many good finds! Lots of antiques and vintage items too. The ladies that work at the shop are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I bought a vintage knit nativity scene that I absolutely love, Christmas lights, coasters, and a tree skirt. Specifically an old fossil listed for $50, a gold plated Nixon priced at $150 and a momentum m1 diver the st moritz edition priced all the way at $250! On Saturday when I was buying the watch I noticed the stop watch seconds dial wasn't working properly. Instead of resetting to 60 (0) the hand wouldn't go past 9 seconds. It wasn't too bid of a deal to me as I won't be doing much timing with the watch it was more for aesthetic purposes, so I told the employee I'd take it for 25. The strap needed to be replaced on it and obviously some gears weren't working in it. She called the owner and the owner told me to come back Monday that they would have it fixed and she wasn't going to go below 40. I show up Monday in between appointments and meet the owner. She's extremely rude to me off the back and acts like it's my fault that I don't speak Spanish (she doesn't speak English). She showed me the fossil and the stop watch dial wasn't still broken. In fact it was a little worse. She called her husband who I guess worked on it and he basically insinuated that I was lying and to give the phone to his wife to verify it wasn't working. She told him exactly what I did and they told me to come back tomorrow. No apology for wasting my time or anything. I tell her I want to talk about the m1 diver that I'm interested in it, that it was just over priced. I asked how she got her pricing and she said she did her own research. I also asked how long the watch had been in the case and she said it wasn't important. I thought this was a pawn shop where haggling is acceptable. A quick photo search of that watch told me 150 on eBay. The gold Nixon was only 112.50 brand new online! I tried to show her this but she just rudely brushed me off and told me 200 was the lowest she'll go. I told her I'm a repeat customer who's looking to buy a couple of things if she would just work with me. I guess she didn't want my money. ‍
