My heart is full. I have searched high and low, and have finally found a place where my household donations will go to a good cause. One hundred percent of the proceeds of items sold at this shop funds the Helotes Humane Society located right next door. The old house is the thrift shop. A driveway with a sign for drop off will direct you to the back of the house. A large sign is posted on the fence of items they do not accept. All the items sold at the thrift shop are well organized and labeled nicely. There are so many good finds! Lots of antiques and vintage items too. The ladies that work at the shop are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I bought a vintage knit nativity scene that I absolutely love, Christmas lights, coasters, and a tree skirt. They offer military discount on Thursday and senior discount on Friday. I had a blast at this shop and will be back. Besides the Helotes Humane society next door, there's also a small dog park behind it. read more

I just visited the shop with my Mom for the first time this morning and was so impressed by it. The staff is amazing, helpful and attentive. The shop is well organized, doesn't smell bad like other thrift shops I've been. The merchandise is organized and clean. They have a very good and clean bathroom and fitting room. They also hold your items at the cashier , so don't have to drag the basket around. Prices were amazing and even bought a fenton glass basket with a huge discount! We for sure will be back to this treasures filled thrift. read more

I went here a while ago and I witnessed the lady being rude and annoying to the customers! She was rolling her eyes and making them feel dumb for no reason! She was making "smart" remarks and just being plain out bitchy! I really don't know how this place has any business with her rude self being an employee there! After that family left she went and gave him a dirty look and slammed the door! read more

My first visit here ; interested in purchases and also donating (on Fri & Sat only )as all proceeds go to the Helotes Humane Society next door. it's easy to pass by this little place ; I was greeted warmly by 2 Volunteer staff that explained what they're about and told me what they have: A little of everything !! (kitchen, home decor, clothes ) All items are clearly labeled with prices , well organized I found some Levi's shorts & skinny jeans for 5$ each & There is a fitting room. As with any thrift store you have to look a lot, but no telling what you might find! read more

I love this place, but my only suggestion is to have a sign by the donation drop off area that states when donations are accepted. My 7 year old has been hospitalized for 4 weeks now. Its been tremendously hard for our family. My oldest daughter decided to donate her American Girl doll with all her clothes because she said it would make her feel good. Helping others when you are down can be uplifting. I walked the doll inside because I didn't want to leave the doll by the gate outside. Unfortunately one of the staff members was very rude in how she spoke to me telling me donations are not on Thursdays and I should have noticed the cone. Of course she still took the doll which I second guessed later. A cone did not notify me donations were not accepted, but a sign would have helped greatly. We are far from wealthy, and 4 weeks in the hospital will take a big chunk if not all our savings. Selling the doll would have helped some, but my daughter wanted to do the right thing in donating, as it was a gift for her bday a few years back. Our glimmer of trying to do something nice was really squashed today. I went to my car and cried, and I never cry. Just remember, you never know what a family is going through...and a smile, a thank you, a feeling of being appreciated go SO very far. My feelings were really hurt, but I will tell my daughter how thankful and excited they were for her generous donation read more

Disgusting customer service. As soon as me and my family walked in we were greeted with one of the worst attitudes an employee can possibly have. We like to help out the community buy buying and donating to small thrift stores and have been doing this for years. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had from any thrift store. First time ever being in this place and will definitely be the last. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way about this unprofessional place. read more

Wonderful thrift shop. Clean, organized and awesome prices. A nice assortment of items. The volunteers that work there are all so friendly and helpful. Usually a dog or cat running around which is perfect. All the proceeds go to help save dogs and cats. They have some used items and some brand new items in the boxes never used for a great price.
