Dollar Tree is located right off of Abercorn. The cross section of Abercorn and Mall Blvd is where parking will be the closest. It is in the same business center with Moe's and Chili's. There is plenty of parking throughout the lot. This Dollar Tree is kept organized. It has a good selection of items. The seasonal items will go quickly. They are up at the front of the store right when you walk in. The customer service is decent. The employees are trying to restock shelves and ring up people at registers. I want to start with Laci is a PHENOMENAL employee and is no reflection on the rest of the review -- there was an EXTREMELY rude female black employee on the floor who was not wearing a name tag. My mother and I prepared to turn to go down the next aisle and stopped when we noticed an employer standing in the aisle clearly stocking. We apologized for startling her and waited to allow her time to break down the box in her hands and move when she loudly asked "ARE YOU GOING TO SAY EXCUSE ME?". Confused, I said "I'm sorry?" and my mother asked if she had sneezed, all while waiting without complaint. She proceeded to continue on with " We are both standing here and you were about to push through me and you aren't even going to say excuse me???" At which point we explained again that we were not going to attempt to push through her and were, in fact, just waiting for her to wrap up so we could continue on. She proceeded to move toward my mother who was stunned by the interaction as I stated that she was being incredibly rude and that none of this was necessary. As she got closer she said " I WAS TALKING TO HER" regarding my mother who was still bewildered into silence. She finally turned away and I slipped through to go to the front to check out with my batteries and speak with a manager. Laci was exceptionally pleasant at the check out and called for Dan ( name may be incorrect, he was a white man in his 20s /30s ) who promptly came up and heard the complaint in near silence ( while being clearly surprised and unsure how to proceed ) before heading back all the while she was screaming " EXCUSE ME. EXCUSE ME" at anyone she encountered that could be heard. This was the WORST experience we have ever had at a Dollar Tree or retail space in general. read more

First off this location has approved so much since the last time I was in. I live within Savannah and since this location as normally a disaster, I would drive 20 minutes outside of the area to go to the Richmond Hill location but now I do not need to do that. On this particular visit, I was thoroughly surprised with how clean and organized everything was. There were no walls of boxes and clutter to trip over. They have finally hired more staff. Every cashier was open and there were extra staff in the floor as well. Night & Day from how it used to me. Whomever has taken over this store needs to give themselves a pat on the back. Each area is clearly marked and items aren't cluttered and littered on the floor, but organized on their designated shelves. Which makes it easy when you know what you need and you're just want to be in and out quickly without having to hunt down each aisle looking for what you need. Parking is available in the lot outside for free. They are located in the shipping plaza with sally's beauty supply and next to Moe's across from the Oglethorpe Mall. read more

Wow, so I encountered a racist cashier today at the dollar tree on Abercorn right across the street from over the mall so while I'm shopping, I noticed that they had Barbie dolls in there and there's no prices on the Barbie doll so we all know that they changed their prices so when I get to check out, it rung up higher than what I wanted to pay for it and it just happened to be a African-American Barbie doll so since the price was higher than what I wanted to pay for it, I told the cashier to take it off and guess what races comment she said oh it's hard to find that color anyway Wow read more

So dollar tree is no longer "the dollar store" it is now the $1.25 store which is still a pretty good deal for 95% of their inventory. I tend to frequent this particular store because it's centrally located. Recently I've noticed that they have tidied up the store a bit more than it has been in the past. Items have been moved around to new areas of the store and there seems to be less clutter overall. Cleaning has definitely been amped up as well. The store was never dirty but it also never felt truly clean until recently. Although they are typically pretty busy and lines get very long the cashiers do their best to move as quick as possible. Most times I've gone there has been one or two cashiers working with extremely long lines but someone else, usually a manager, comes up to help get the lines cut down. Overall this place is great for everyday items such as stationary, dog toys, cards, and household cleaning supplies. I also tend to stock up on word search books for my grandmother since they are super expensive in Puerto Rico. read more

I love Dollar Tree. This one, not so much. The parking lot is filthy. Trash everywhere. The nside had nasty floors and most of the shelves were empty. It looked like a bomb had gone off in there. On average I spent $100 a month in Dollar Trees. I have a few staples in my home that I get: LaCroix, Veggie Chips, stationery, Singles to Go flavor packs and snacks. From Augusta to Savannah to Charleston, I have my favorites in each city. This has been my go to but it could use a better stocking system. Additionally, I've never met more lacing customer service. Today was the final straw after only 6 weeks. My daughter went through the line to purchase a soda. The cashier with the oxygen tank asked her if she had anything smaller than a $20 bill and when she replied she didn't the cashier snatched it and said, "This is not a bank to be making change." She is very lucky my daughter waited until we were long gone to tell me. I notified the manager but he shrugged it off. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

The Dollar Tree has great prices on snacks and cheap household goods. If you're hosting a children's birthday party, Dollar Tree will have everything you need: balloons, plastic silverware, candies, cookies, and party favors. The staff at this location were really helpful; my only complaint is that there weren't more of them. This Dollar Tree is understaffed, resulting in extremely long lines and wait times. read more

I get a lot of my gift wrapping items at Dollar Tree. Especially during the holidays. Sometimes the wrapping can cost more than the gift if you aren't careful. You just can't beat their prices. I visited this store and Charles the District Manager was very rude. When I got to the register, I placed my basket on the top end of the register as usual and he said in a blank voice, "PUT IT ON THE GROUND", not "Can you please place it on the side for me?" I put it on the ground as he stated because he did not ask at all. Next, He was very rude and had no customer service skills at all. I frequent this store and have never been treated in such a way. He should not be a manager let alone a District Manager, representing anyone's company in such a manner. He is very unpolite to people who are not his ethnicity. I am an Afro-American teacher and I work with students and faculty of all nationalities with different ailments/imparities where patience is an absolute need. He has absolutely no patience and does not know how to handle his customers with respect or dignity. The best prices for birthday balloons, party supplies and fun gifts. It's hit and miss on some items and yes the lines are long but they move pretty fast. Wal-Mart sells many identical items for over twice the price. They carry soy milk and dairy free and vegan snacks. It's a fun store to treat yourself or children.
