I still remember with shock and awe the day I first went into a Marshall's in the 6th grade and…read morediscovered I could actually wear a ladies size 5 shoe. I had been forced to wear a pair of ugly orthopedic shoes for children for months when I was told this was the only pair that would fit me at Stasi's Children's Shoe store. Liars! That day I got three pairs of stylish and discounted shoes in my new adult size. Thanks, mom! I tell you this to remind you that back in the day you could not pick out your own shoes to try on, you had to go to a shoe store where a shoe salesperson would measure your feet and go to the back to get shoes for you to try on. So Marshall's entered my world that day, and shopping was never the same! I have always sought out a Marshall's where I live and this location in the Pocket area of south Sacramento is a gem. They have a consistently well curated selection of shoes, clothing, cosmetics, personal care, and home goods. They have a pretty extensive pet section, too as well as seasonal decor and furniture. To be fair, sometimes they are in a restock mode or things are really picked over, but such is the nature of bargain stores. You may not always find exactly what you need here, but you'll be able to be in the ballpark. Marshall's has more designer and higher end brands than Ross, (though you can't knock a good Ross find, you just have to search more). When my sister visits she and I usually hit this Marshall's and can easily spend a couple hours here. This store is always busy and even though the lines get long, they have a top notch checkout crew who get you taken care of. They finally fixed the air conditioning so it's much nicer for staff and shoppers. Dressing rooms are nice and you can bring in 12 items. Ask me how I know. Ps there a back parking lot.

I came here to Marshalls to buy a top to wear for work. They have a lot of variety things to buy…read more You can buy snacks, food, houseware, clothing: mens, children & women. You can also buy for your pets, novelty items and beauty too. Ive come here many times. Ive bought almost any category. The clothes have price tags that show you their original price and the cut price. I like the food section because they have items that are very imported or rare. Even the cutest thing to buy is in their Tea or Coffee section. I love the rare teas. I also love coming here out of all the Marshalls in the Sacramento region. They are always loaded with more choices.

There was only 1 check out line open but the associate was moving things right along. I appreciate how clean the store is and even with them dealing with their load, it was easy and SAFE, navigating the aisles. Parking was easy. The lot was super clean too. How nice!!

Here is a summary of why: 1. So much is locked up behind glass cabinets 2. Employees rarely ever come to unlock something when you ask for assistance 3. When I ask for help they make sure to show how much of an inconvenience I am 4. As I was checking out once another employee came up to the cashier and said "make sure to look at that bottom mirror to make sure people aren't STEALING." She was implying I was stealing....? And I clearly wasn't. I was kind of shocked and just said "wow. How convenient and cleaver!" 5. There are many times that items are not stocked, and boxed products are constantly in the middle of the floor, making it harder to get around 6. Once I moved something out of the way to get to the shelf behind it, and an employee showed so much irritation at me and moved it back, indicating I was the problem. 7. Once I asked where something was to an employee, and the woman, without saying a word, flat out gave me the most hateful glare. If looks could kill, man. Trying to intimidate me or something? At Target? Over what?? I felt the need to back up slowly and apologize for bothering her because she seemed very unstable. Who on earth is in charge of these people working here? What are the requirements to be hired? Who is overseeing them and communicating standards? What are the consequences?

Adj: Comprehensive and Convenient…read more Ahh, Delta Shores, Delta Shores, how you've grown. As long time Sacramentans, we keep up w/development news and I recall when my hubby first told me about this huge shopping complex coming up between Elk Grove and Land Park off I-5. It was just empty land for so long, but suddenly, there were going to be lots of homes getting built here and traffic might get real heavy, but first infrastructure has to come up first and a shopping complex, the biggest anchor of which was going to be a Walmart and also RC Willey, the furniture home store. This was back in 2018 and now, just w/a blink of an eye, it's been here over 7 years! We come here quite a lot as it's conveniently located for us and there's a lot of a little bit of everything here. From coffee and some sweet treats at Panera or Starbucks, to getting a haircut at Great Clips, to getting groceries and essentials at the Super Walmart, to arts and crafts supplies at Hobby Lobby, we really could and sometimes do spend several hours here. Then there's the many clothing stores from Ross to Old Navy to the boutique stores, everyone's style can be found at Delta Shores. I personally enjoy browsing Daiso b/c there's so many cute things here and the knick knack patty whacks here are often really useful by design in Japan even if they're made in China quality, but great value and affordable prices, lol... We enjoy coming to the theatre here too, to catch a (usually kids) movie, but occasionally a date night movie too. The dining choices here are endless from fast food In-N-Out, Habit Burgers, or Sonic for burgers, or Chipotle for a quick but "fancier" burrito or Panda Express for Chinese food, to more sit-down places like Koshi Ramen and Firehouse Crawfish, we've always found something we like so that we're not having the same cuisine over and over. We like the sweet treat places here too for a healthier drink at Jamba Juice or a mochi donut at Happy Mochi or a boba drink at Tastea. After that you can walk off your meal or dessert at RC Willey or Floor & Decor In short, Delta Shores has so much to offer b/c of how it's just massive and it houses so many different kinds of shopping, dining, desserts, coffee shops, and even practical services like a dentist office with multiple specialties and also other services like internet and mobile w/the Xfinity store or T-mobile and you can even mail your packages at a UPS store. They even hold festivals every semi-annually or so for the community to draw more shoppers and allow their stores to display their goods and services. Overall, this is a comprehensive shopping plaza and it provides lots of products and providers in one convenient location.

I remember when Delta Shores Shopping Center was still being built. I'd see it come up slowly (and…read morethen quickly) as I drove from Elk Grove to work. It's been quite a few years and it's now an established shopping hub in the greater Sac area, but especially for those who live along the I-5 corridor between Elk Grove/Stockton and downtown Sac. We come here quite often since it's got a little bit of everything we need. From the Walmart Superstore where we can really find most things we need for our household, to various eateries, to an occasional movie a theatre, to treats at candy (See's), cookies (Crumbl) and ice cream (Cold Stone's) shops, etc., we really can spend a whole day here. Our family likes to come for their seasonal fairs. They're fun for my kids and there's a lot going on w/booths to play games and samples to try, and vendors give out coupons so we can try out new stores that just opened up. The Delta Shore staff really put on pretty good events w/these fairs to drum up business for their tenants and the vendors who do come out and set up booths are friendly and hardworking b/c it's a long day for them. 1-star off b/c the parking can get busy/hard to find a spot in certain popular areas and some people drive aggressively and pedestrians really have to watch to not get run over, cars too, no one wants fender benders. Patience, people, patience. During covid, there was a rash of car break-in's too, but I think they've improved their security now, so I've not heard or seen more incidents. All in all, we're glad this is a conveniently located larger shopping plaza where we can get a lot of grown up business taken care of (auto at Walmart, internet stuff at Xfinity, etc.), but still have some nice meals and a treat once in awhile w/o breaking the bank or widening the waistline.

Purchased a cart full of stuff, and had my small child with me. They don't allow the buggies to leave the store. The security guard asked me to pull my car up, and he loaded my bags. I was so thankful, as trying to run back and forth to get bags to the car with a 5 year old would have been a nightmare. Also, had a positive interaction with employee working in Layaway. As we were passing, she said hi to my daughter, who loves to talk. This lead to a positive and meaningful conversation. Two acts of human kindness in one day. Go Burlington. I will definitely be returning. I didn't give it 5 stars because of inconvenience of not being able to take carts out of store. Also, lines were pretty long unnecessarily. I saw too many employees in the store for there to only be 2 cashiers. However, overall, I was pretty happy with experience.

The lady who was behind me.. then I was followed in the store and literally watched like a hawk. I had my daughter with me no bags, not giving any indication of stealing. I was followed around so bad that I had to flash my money at him. Let him leave me alone. Every African-American Customer that came in the supervisor, followed them around, literally aisle from aisle. Even a man who came in the store with his son he was followed as well. All Hispanics and white people were not. Just because you live on a certain side of town or work on a certain side of town doesn't mean everybody is ignorant, struggling, or whatever you want to think. Management definitely needs some training skills because he could have diffuse the situation or just came to an understanding.. and just because you're a part of the LGBTQ community does not mean that you are allowed to approach women in such a very catty manner.

Adj: Admittedly Acceptable and Conveniently Comprehensive…read more I enjoy coming here for basic arts and crafts items, yesterday, I came looking for yarn and quickly found what I needed and everything was smooth from welcoming entry, finding the items I needed, check-out and exit. Gardening dept could be bigger. They're currently undergoing a big remodel and the whole front entrance (the whole front side in fact) is closed off pretty much, so we decided to park along the north side of the store and walk through the auto center to get into the store. Thankfully, the auto center was still open. The prices for arts and crafts supplies have gone up, like everywhere else, but there's still plenty of good items for reasonable prices and most items have only gone up a dollar or two which is still pretty reasonable post-Covid, and with inflation at an all time high. As for the rest of the store, everything looks pretty organized and there's inventory of pretty much anything you could be looking for, we usually just go to the same few sections of the store: Arts/Crafts, Auto, Gardening Center, Stationery, and sometimes the Grocery Dept. although we do not mainly shop here for our food (we go elsewhere). Unfortunately, the latest time I used the bathroom here, the condition has really gone down in cleanliness and overall upkeep. I have to remember not to have to use their restrooms here, lol... Let's see if they remodel their bathrooms and what other improvements they make w/this whole big O' updating they're doing to the front side of the store. I'll update when the big reveal comes, haha...
