4/29/26 Needed a gift bag for an upcoming birthday party for a coworker's 1 yr old for this Saturday. Dollar tree came to mind. The 99 Cent store was my go-to so here I am. It's fairly organized, aisles are uncluttered & beat. Fair amount of selection for your daily needs. Saw greeting cards at 2 for $1-- unheard of in this climate. Only one check stand was open but it moved in a timely manner. The cashier was fairly professional in her somewhat distant way about her but she was no frills, at least said "Hi how are you?" She was efficient. Parking is free & stalls are fit for sedans. Picked up the gift bag, stickers & a Pringles Sour cream & onion ($2.25) Remember when these were for an actual dollar each? read more

The prices may be low, but walking in this parking lot filled with garbage from food containers, aluminum cans and general trash is a dangerous experience. The wait at check out was huge. 12 carts in line for just one cashier. It's obvious they care little about customer service. read more

The only negative is they are always sometimes on one part cashier coverage which makes the line a little longer than needed. Honestly, I still have a hard time keeping all of the 'One dollar' stores straight, but Dollar Tree seems to be the most consistent of all the brands that fit into this category. This location was in the Hastings Ranch Plaza in Pasadena, and was one of the larger stores we've been at. The vast majority of items on sale are $1.25, and the selection was very good. My wife and I ended up browsing every aisle, and bought quite a bit of stuff. I even bought two frozen snacks: one a ben and jerry's single pack (flavor strawberry cheesecake) and the other being a Minute Maid soft frozen Cherry limeade, both for $1.25. It was a nice snack...just wish I had thought ahead and had a spoon (or two)...ended up eating both with the plastic lids that it came with, back in our car. This store had (all for $1.25) - great selection of mylar balloons - gift cards for other brands - stickers and crafting decals - various name brand frozen foods - heavy duty duct tape - an aisle of just pet supplies - even had an amazon pickup locker Definitely worth stopping in for, even for a frozen snack. read more

I was on my way to a lunch party. I forgot to bring a knife and spatula. So I needed a knife to cut the cake and a spatula to help with cake cutting. I saw Dollar Tree at the corner of my eyes so I abruptly exited the freeway. After entry, I spoted the left side wall with kitchenware. I headed straight there and searched for the items I needed. While I was looking, I saw some small tongs that would be perfect for grabbing appetizers. I ended up getting the knife, spatula, 4 small tongs, and a pair of scissors. I didn't know the price has gone up from $1.00 to $1.25 per item which stil isn't too bad. Staff was okay. There was a slight wait in line, but no more than 5 mins. I didn't get to peruse around the store since I was on a time constraint. Thank you Dollar Tree for coming through for me when I needed you most! read more

04/24/2023 A discount store just like 99¢ only store but it's not 99¢. Some items are over $1 or $2. Why do people have to open packages here? Isn't items really cheap priced already? Now these opened box items cannot be sold. There are already graduation and Independence Day items on the shelves in the front area by the door. The Dollar "twenty-five" Tree is the new 99 Cents Only (plus change). I can't complain. This place has served me well when looking for cleaning supplies. If you need cards for special occasions, they got a wide selection. If you're looking for Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas decor, they have them too. The only thing they can improve on is to keep the shelves stocked so I can buy more! Most Dollar Tree locations are understaffed which explain the longer lines. read more

I have come in twice to the Dollar tree now and I have seen between 4 to 5 workers in the store and only 1 person at the cash register. You have to wait to even get balloons until she is done with her customers at the register. I'm just confused as to why the other 3 to 4 employees can't leave their posts of talking or putting things away in the aisles to help the register. What's not to love? It's Dollar Tree. I went in looking for craft supplies and found what I wanted. Lots of stickers, wood pieces, beads, glue dots, and such. I always have to check the party section and get fun treat bags for sending crafts to friends and paper shred too. My sister was with me and picked up some cleaning supplies and makeup. read more

I think of dollar tree as a glorified 99 cents store. The items available seem to be a half step higher in quality than what you may find at the 99 cent store, but they do offer some nice decorations if you're looking for some fake flowers to spruce up your interior! They also have a suprisingly large selection of toys, games, and other trinkets available for purchase! Definitely come swing by a dollar tree if you're looking for a nifty puzzle to do, or maybe some crafts with dry paint buckets? Chalk is also available which I find simply amazing! Snacks and candy at the dollar tree are somewhat bizarre. The brands you would find in the store are never before seen in the mainstream markets! It's as if the manufacturers sell dollar tree test products or failed ones... In all seriousness, it's a great store for cheap items! You can definitely get a bang out of your buck, and even after roasting all their items, you gotta admit that it gets the job done! You get what you pay for, and often times, it's a pretty good deal. read more

I did an online order of 20 cases of glasses. We choose this location for pick up because it is close to home. We got an email that our order was in and ready to pick up. Only 12 cases were given to us. When we asked about the other 7 Marcella said it was not her problem and she let us know she was trying to take a break. She made no effort to assist us and had such a bad and unprofessional attitude. We told her we would wait till after her break so she can assist us. She said fine and walked away. After some time she came out and said she called her manger. The conclusion she gave us it's not their problem and I have to call the corporate office. I understand mistakes can be made in ordering. This review is not about my incomplete order which is a huge deal. This review is about the lack of customer service and professionalism. It is already hard when your order is not right but then to be treated like this is not ok. It would be nice to have our complete order ASAP but it would be nice to have an apology from the employee. You represent a Business and you did not do that even close to what is expected. If you are picking up an online order chose a different store. I really hope we get the rest of the order in time for our wedding and I hope future customers get a better experience from this location. This place (including 99 Cent Store) are the two best places to get balloons! I've been to multiple Dollar Trees, and a few years back on Valentine's Day, the staff members would stand in the back with the helium tank and wait for each customer to tell them which balloon they wanted... boy did that take FOREVER. They finally changed it up at every location and just blew up all the balloons and let them all wait to be taken. For this occasion, it was my cousins' graduations. We grabbed 20 balloons here and went on with our day. The only issue I had was, 20 balloons DOES NOT fit into my small Q60 haha. We had to do our best with 3 passengers and 20 balloons. I'll leave the imagination to you guys. Dollar Tree is my favorite place to come to for any occasion to grab balloons! They're uber cheap and last a good while! read more

Horrible customer service! I came in on a Wed morning. It seems like they were getting a shipment, which is understandable for the week day. But, if you have a line 5-6 ppl deep you should get another person. I came in to use the restroom (since Target's was down). It had a sign that said "No Merchandise please" and was locked. Since no one else was around I waiting in line (3 ppl ahead of me and 3 ppl behind me). When FINALLY got to the cashier (Angie) she told me, with an eye roll, that "the bathroom aren't available for customers." WTF!!! I didn't even bother to argue because I didn't want to be seen as a "Karen". Just do better, put up a sign or something! read more

I love going to Dollar Tree or the 99 cents store for random stuff. This Dollar Tree seems a bit smaller than some others and so the selection is not as great here, hence a 3 star rating from me. Everything here is as the name implies, one dollar. It's a great place to go for cheap holiday decorations. party decorations, balloons, and just random nic nacs. I like going to the dollar store for gift bags and especially calendars. I've never had bad service here. Like I said, the selection here is a bit lacking and sometimes the store seems in disarray and can be a bit messy. You can easily find things to buy. They are not the best quality things however, but for the price and especially things you will only use a few times, it's worth the deal. The staff here are always friendly and helpful. Today Gemma (not sure if I spelled that right) was very sweet and accommodating when I stopped in for a month or two's worth of home and office supplies. Even though I had a TON of items, she went out of her way to bag everything thoughtfully and super efficiently (keeping heavy items/ food items/ cleaning supplies etc. all separate even though I would never ask anyone to do so) and did an amazing job of organizing it so that I needed way less bags than I would have otherwise.
