The complaint I have is the bathroom !!! OMFG!!!! Wonder if the health inspector shops here. I understand you don't want to give your people 8 hours or health insurance or that you flip people like pancakes on a hot griddle. But now you want your customers to get sick. Please don't tell me about the 2 signs in the bathroom, it has at least taken 3 or 4 months to get that gross. Betcha the employees bathroom looks like a Cadillac compared to this!!!!!!!! read more

It's alright, it mostly serves its purpose, and I'm happy to have it close by. Their are a few shop clerks who could be a bit more helpful, or cheery. However I can only imagine what they have to put up with, day in and day out. I've seen customers being less than pleasant. There's not a big selection, but I usually find what I am looking for. Negative stars again. Tried calling ahead of time. Called multiple times no answer. Finally just drove down and waited in line for 10 mins with the 1 cashier that's only ever working while the other employees dink around letting the line build to the back of the store. Only to be told they're out of helium. I called again some lady answered. I told her what happened her response was, "Okayy? And?" I'm like oh okay we're going to be rude. So I said would have been nice if someone could have answered the phone one of the many times I called instead of driving down here and this happens. Seriously dollar tree employees get it together. It might at this point be worth the drive going any where else than this location no matter how close it is. read more

The sign on the door says hours Monday through Saturday are 8 AM to 10 PM. I am here at 8:20 AM on a Friday. The doors are locked. This is very disappointing, as I drove out of my way to this location because it was open. read more

This Dollar Tree location has less selection than others I have shopped at over the years, most of which are in smaller towns. However, it does have the typical selection you'd expect. I just wish they stock more seasonal items for stocking stuffers, Easter baskets and the like. read more

Stopped by the Dollar Tree to grab a few decor items for my son's birthday. Store was fine with a lot of the bday inventory out of stock...not surprised. Just tried to return some thing from xmas but was told I couldn't even though I had my receipt because it was after the holiday season. NO signage anywhere stating this and was not allowed to return items though I should have been able to because there was no notification about this to customers. I got major attitude from one of the sales associates as well instead of just letting me exchange the few dollars worth of things for other things I need. I understand the workers there don't paid much but neither do the people who shop there so I don't see why I couldn't have exchanged the few things I had for the few things I need. For dollar store it is good. I get gift bags here and I have picked up some hand towels for my camping gear. most of the stuff is cheap cheap cheap... but a great place to get candles (the size I get range from $5-10 a candle here it is a buck). When my friends kid was moving out on her own we stopped off here and picked her out glasses, dishes and cooking utensils .... since this was her first apartment with roommates..... we chose to get things that if if they got trashed.... would not be a waste of money lol. We walked out of there with like a hundred bucks of stuff for her apartment including dish towels, baskets, trash bags, kitchen utensils, pates, glasses and a few odds and ends like candles, holders, a couple vases. is this somewhere you turn to get high quality stuff... no... but a great place for starter items, candles, gift bags, stocking stuffers for small kids, etc..... read more

The service is great. The employees are always nice, friendly, always willing to help and they even visit with u as they check out the stuff. I almost always spend over 150$ each trip. No one ever moans or rolls their eyes as I roll up with my $169 (that's what I bought previous trip.) worth of items. I shop here about every three months. I pick up canned olives...p nuts, other canned goods, cleaning supplies, Kleenex......batteries, craft stuff... The employees have always been nice, helpful and warm. I've always had a good experience in there. And, yes, if you know how to shop you can save hundreds of dollars. I've done my math. I'm a super serious budget homemaker. If you want to seriously save money; do the math and comparisons. Take the time to shop several stores for their special deals. This shop is one of my favorite resources for everyday items. Double flipped off, called an entitled bitch and told I am what's wrong with this country all by Cashier Tommy - in front of his supervisor, tonight at 740pm... Admittedly a dry conversationalist rather than overtly friendly at the end of my day, I waited for a pause in the cashiers interaction with current customer before saying "Excuse me. I have a few returns. Do I need check in with you?" upon entering. Told to wait a few minutes, I asked if I should just get in line. Then told I am being rude and needed to wait, I commented that it was a yes/no question quickly answered in far fewer words and less time than what he had just taken. I went about my shopping, finished up, got in line, and was calmly told to evaluate my behavior and take a breath. I again said I a quick yes or no was all that was asked so I could proceed as needed. Tommy interrupted, repeatedly told me I am what's wrong with this county, am entitled and should get my stuff and get out before rounding out his thoughts by stepping back, raising both hands with double middle fingers and calling me an entitled bitch. I asked for his manager, whom he said was just 10 feet away. She was already standing by the time I looked, began walking toward me even before I asked to speak with her. She acknowledged seeing and hearing it all and assured me she would speak with the manager above her. Posting here with hope Tommy's behavior does not go without consequence even if he was incredibly kind in every other encounter I observed. I know everything is a dollar but the service BLOWS!! I just went to pick up a couple things and I was waiting at the register for almost 5 minutes and then the clerk came up and told me she was going to ring this other lady up first because she was helping her on the floor. This woman had 10 items and triple that in questions still. The clerk still ignored me when it was my turn to help this other lady that barged up with a question about returns. I had two fricken items. The whole thing took forever and really made me upset. They need to teach their employees guest service 101. I'll still shop there because they stock the cheap stuff I like, but I hate going there because the service is always the same. BAD. read more

I went to this Dollar Tree location on May 21st 2014. It was the absolute worst service. Chris was our cashier and he was terrible. He was rude. He had a frown on his face the entire time, seemed completely bothered to help us, and was literally throwing our items into the bag!! He handed us one receipt, but we had two. We told him that he had not given us the second receipt and so he sharply told us that he had put it in a random bag. When we first came into the store, we asked Lisa how to exchange some items and she did tell us, but in a very harsh tone. Then as we went around the store we could hear her talking. She had just been so unkind to us and now she was being super over-the-top polite to others. It was incredibly artificial and nauseating. One of the most organized and clean Dollar Trees that I have ever been to and I have probably been to all of the in the Beaverton/Aloha/SW Portland/Tigard/Hillsboro area. Great customer service, even when I was indecisive on what balloons to buy. We'll be back to this location! read more

it's a dollar tree.. this location isn't too different from most- well, perhaps a tad bit smaller? it is what it is.. cheap stuff.. some of it is worth getting some of it ain't. you have to be a smart shopper to figure out what's worth buying. some stuff is also way too junky and not worth a $1 read more

A dollar store is a dollar store.... kind of. This one is kept pretty clean, although you can only get so much there. Sometimes I go in and notice they don't stay on top of their inventory very strictly, so they are out of the one thing I stopped in for. Other than that, they have some hit and miss seasonal décor, an awesome kitchen supply area, and decent merchandise for everything in between. Associates are usually very pleasant, although they don't always have enough people working. Compared to other locations, though, they are awesome! read more
