Look, there is always something to pick up at Dollar tree. The shelves can be pretty empty at times which tells me that stuff sells right? I am responsible for catering parties and often need balloons and other party favors. This Dollar Tree is a 2-minute walk , and used to be my go-to for my guests' needs. I kept trying and after 2 years , its a fail every time. They have inflated balloons every morning but somehow are always out of helium to blow up new balloons. NOT TRUE! IS this a franchise policy to keep the workers on the floor even when you show up when the doors open and there is nobody else is there...Would love to ask them.....????? Not their fault, and I feel so bad for them, as this is always the answer I get. We are out of Helium.....Hmmmm???? However, 2 other stores in Concord always seem to have helium for the Balloons that are not already inflated, and are very accommodating and helpful. If this is a store policy, they are missing out on the fact that balloons are just one of the many items I need to purchase for every event I host. Dollar Tree will still get my $$ as the staff is cool and the party favors I need are great value...Just not here. If this is a franchise...Dollar Tree...you have enough problems with the rodents and should be providing better service. I don't expect the owners to be around much longer, so I'll keep trying. read more

Great value store on majority of the items. However, I did notice some items ranging from $1.50-$5 versus the usual $1.25 which was previously $1 but I digress. This location had been around for decades! Stopped by recently to pick up paper plates, etc and literally noticed that half the stores shelves were empty. While waiting in line at the register a customer in line asked an employee why the shelves were empty and the employee said " we are experiencing a pest problem." Yikes! Welp, buyer beware if you're here to purchase edible items. read more

This is probably one of the best well stocked dollar trees in the area. It's always organized and well stocked and easy to navigate. I come here for anything from picture frames to Sandwich bags to other small items that I might need and don't feel like going to a bigger store for. Especially things like reading cards and birthday gift bags. The lines depending on when you come or not so bad either. Midday is probably your best bet or early on the weekends. read more

I like the large selection of goods here, but the store is so poorly run. With inflation and tariffs the way they are, I understand a lot of prices have skyrocketed. But it is important to label and charge your merchandise correctly. Things that are labeled $1.25 will ring up at $1.50, and when you point to the big sign that says $1.25, they won't honor it. And you need to check your stuff before you leave the store. Twice now, I've had the cashier bag my purchases, only to go home and find I had several missing items. Not sure if it's an accident or dishonesty, can be extremely frustrating. I mean, I shop at the Dollar Tree because I'm not rich, so missing a few items means I'm losing $4 or $5 each time. read more

Dollar Tree in the same shopping center as Kohl's and Marshall. It is a busy shopping center which can be hard to get out of. This Dollar Tree store is big. It wasn't the cleanest store I been to but I should not be complaining. I will say that the secure their shopping carts to prevent people from taking it outside. Overall, I really liked this dollar store until tonight. As I was shopping with my daughter two enormous rats ran right up towards me . One went left and one went right. I went down the other aisle and did not see them. I continue to shop yelling for my daughter to come over and stand with me explaining to her what I saw. As we continued shopping, she said Mom come here and pointed to the next aisle over and there was a rat again, not sure if it's the same one or a different one staring right at us!I decided to put my items back and leave. As I was leaving, I told the male cashier with silver hair that there are two enormous rats, running around the aisles and he sighed and looked at me and said,"I know I know ". The woman had glasses on and a face mask and did not say one word. I was so surprised that he already knew about it, and there are no measures that are being taken such as rat traps or him assuring customers that they are doing something about it. they did not even flinch or leave the cash register at all. I proceeded to go to the car with my daughter and sat in there for a few minutes to collect my thoughts & these same workers, never moved away from the register and had zero concern that there are live rats in there. Absolutely disgusting! Rat infested! Do not shop at this establishment! My sister went to Dollar Tree this evening, where she saw not one, not two, but THREE rats!! To quote her, they were putting the "trois" in "dollar trois". (IYKYK) The first rat encounter was in the parking lot as she was driving in; the other two were inside of the store. As soon as she walked in, she was greeted by a fly covered rat trap on the left side of the door. Then, as she was walking down the second aisle of the store, she heard something moving and saw the tail of a rat scampering on a fixture shelf. The rat itself was partially hidden behind merchandise, but she was able to see its tail clearly. As she stood there in shock, and before she even had time to react, she saw the third and final rat running across the aisle in all of its hantavirus-having glory.. Mind you, all three rats were spotted in the span of less than10 minutes. Now; you KNOW it's a bad infestation when rats are boldly running around in a well lit store that's still open for the day with customers who are actively shopping! Suffice it to say: she left without making any purchases. In closing, I just want to say that this is absolutely unacceptable, and a risk to public safety. It seems to have been a problem for at least the past 4 months, since there are 3 other reviews that mention rat sightings during that time span. We've seen rats near the yogurtland in this same shopping center for years, and I'm guessing that they weren't dealt with properly and have now multiplied throughout the plaza. So buyer beware if you're shopping at the neighboring stores, and especially if you're buying food from any of the plaza restaurants. We will be calling the public health department on Monday; and of course, I strongly advise avoiding this Dollar Tree. read more

Dollar tree is my go-to store for personal care and household products at a bargain that can't be beat! Many of the products are good quality. It is close to home and is easy to find parking. The main downside is that sometimes shelves are disorganized and/or messy. I've seen trash in the candy isles. Employees are hit or miss - some friendly, others not so much. As someone who loves a good bargain, the prices keep me coming back at least once a week for my various needs. read more

Great store! I got my kitten calendar and also a desk calendar at bargain prices. While I was looking at cards and found two for Thanksgiving, I heard someone yelling demons. When I went to the line I didn't realize I was behind demon guy who yelled demons again. I quickly and quietly went to the next line. People were looking around. It made me feel nervous and prayed there would not be a scene. Demon guy got his stuff and left. read more

This is one of the cleanest Dollar Tree Stores I've ever seen! Wow! My coworkers and I came here to do some decoration shopping for our party, and naturally Dollar Tree is the go-to for super cute, and super cheap party supplies for any last-minute theme party :) right now they are sporting an adorable summer collection that features tiki items, tropical fish and Hawaiian decor. Most locations I've been to have been pretty jumbled and messy, but this one is super clean, organized and stocked. I was pleasantly surprised! I'll probably come back here next time I need office supplies or party supplies. read more

On Tuesday I bought a bunch of Godiva chocolate small packets only to find out after I delivered all but two that they expired in August 2019. Today, I was in the Dollar Tree. I was in line with one person being checked out, two individuals in front of me and I as the third waiting. After being there several minutes, the cashier - Nancy - tells the woman in front of me that she was going to be her last customer. I ask Nancy, "so I have to move lines?" She replied that yes, I was going to have to go. I then stated that I had been in line for several minutes and she should at least ring me out. She starts insulting me to which I ignored until I moved lines to the one next door to hers. She proceeds to lean back and berate me from her register and said I shouldn't take my bad day out on her. Bad day? Who was having a bad day? She was the one who wouldn't serve me. So I told her what she did was very discourteous. Sweet mary jane... she started talking trash about me to the customer that was in front of me and running her mouth about how atrocious I was. A very kind checker opened up and took me right away. The whole time, Nancy is standing there WITH THE MANAGER, who never said a word or told her to stop trash talking me. As a manager, she should have better sense than to allow an employee to be so disrespectful and rude to a customer. I'm walking out of the store as Nancy is STILL slinging insults at me and gets louder and louder as I am walking out. And mind you, there is still a customer checking out at her register. A real class act. I walk back over and told her I would make sure people knew what a great customer service rep she is. I realize it's the Dollar Tree but come on... talking crap about a customer while they are standing right behind you then even louder as they're walking out? That is about as bad as it gets. A disrespectful and rude cashier and a manager who just stands there and allows an employee to berate and belittle a customer in their store. Nice... very nice. read more

This store is CLOSED. They have been closed for several weeks. Every time I go by the store there is a sign on the door that says they are closed because of the hot weather (it was only 73F outside). Their air conditioning did go out in May, and they were using those lame portable units that connect into the ductwork. I have to admit that on a hot day it was miserable in that store. But that was almost two months ago. Can't they get the air conditioning fixed by now? The reason I am giving only one star is because they haven't updated their website to show that the store is closed. For about two weeks, the website did say that the store was "temporarily closed", but now it says that the store is currently open....so I stopped by again, and again i wasted my time!!! To give three stars, or four stars, that is the question. I must be in a good mood, because normally I like to round my stars down if I'm undecided. There's nothing against this store, it's really the other shoppers that are annoying. I feel like unattended children, and people who leave their carts placed inconveniently really make stores hard to shop in. The lines here take a long time if there are lots of people in them. And the last couple visits no employee has gone out of their way to make me feel welcome. BUT, it is a big Dollar Tree. It is well-stocked. They have 3-Liter cola bottles. Lots of neat holiday stuff... it's not all bad. But maybe a refresher course on customer service would be nice. Too bad they can't give instructions to the customers as well - about how to behave when shopping in public! read more

A nightmare parking lot to say the least and even more nightmare situation getting out of that center. I've turned into a big fan of these stores. This is the place to go for party supplies hands down. I usually frequent the one down in Dublin, but came here the other day since I was in the vicinity to grab a couple of helium balloons for my daughter's birthday party. This particular location is huge! Since I was in a rush, I didn't have the opportunity to explore it. But aisles were wide. The employee who helped me was very nice and even apologized for the rudeness of another customer (you see all sorts in a dollar store). You can't go wrong with $1 balloons. Good place for last minute stocking stuffers like Ring Pops, toys, candy canes, and glue (for slime of course! : ) They remodeled this location a while ago and closed off the entrance from inside the mall (probably to mitigate loss prevention -- I always wondered about that entrance!) The cashiers are now easily visible near the front entrance of the store, to the right, rather than smack dab in the middle of the store on the left. That allowed them to put up signage, make the aisles wider, and add more products. In addition to candy, they have an array of household goods, automative products, school supplies, among other products. Cashiers can vary from being friendly and helpful to being curt and busy. There always seem to be people here now that the mall has been upgraded! Parking is okay -- it used to be less crowded and easier to find parking. They did reconfigure the parking lot, which threw me off, as the end near Dick's is now blocked off and there is a separate driveway for 'in' and 'out' out onto the reconfigured street. (Something I wish I had known, so now you know : ) Those issues can cause a bit of a back up when you're trying to get in and out of parking spaces. read more

This is one of my favorite Dollar Tree's. They are always very neat and even if they are one of the smaller stores, they are fully stocked of the newer decorations of each holiday. Don't forget to bring your own bag and stock up on candy for the movies, DIY and arts & crafts supplies, and goody bag treats for birthday parties. Sometimes I even go to the food section and buy their frozen garlic bread which you can just pop in your toaster (for spaghetti nights!) and buy bags of their pinto & black beans - only $1 each and taste the same as the $3-$5 bags you buy at your regular store! :) read more

It's quite an adventure to shop here. My wife and I were intending to shop for one item but eventually wound up at the check stand with a lot of toys and knickknacks for the grandkids. The manager Kaylee was extremely helpful. Our only problem was with Nana. I think she was having a horrible day. When I entered the store, I asked her the location of ice trays. Her answer was "back there". Upon checkout, I started up a conversation but she didn't say a word. The customer in line ahead of me said "Have a wonderful day!" I really do not know why this dollar store has an average of 3 stars, because this is seriously the BEST dollar store in the East Bay! Maybe they used to suck... Anyway...they have a fanstastic selection of decorative things. I always come here to get holiday stuff, wall stickers, window clings for the office, fake flowers, there is always a lot to choose from and I always am finding something new. They also have a GREAT beauty selection that is constantly updated. I came in once to grab some fake flowers for a bathroom display and while wandering around I came across a HUUUGE display of Essie nail appliques and Maybelline water nail decals! I spent about 30 minutes looking through every section and I came out with 15 different designs of the appliqued and 5 different water decals! Couldn't believe what I find I found! I often find good nail polish and eye shadows as well. The store is clean and I always find something to buy that I like. I made the mistake of checking out other Dollar Trees in the area, thinking they were all the same (cough cough Salvio St and Clayton, both in Concord) and BOY was I so wrong, those are both sparse, ghetto, and crap. Terrible customer service from elder cashier, Nancy. When I arrived in the store there was no one around to help me to find the single item that I came for. I scanned the isles for over ten minutes. Finally before I found it myself, someone stocking a shelf made eye contact with me, and then gets up off his knees and walks away as I start walking towards him. After finding the item myself, I arrive to the checkout line where I heard Nancy's extreme inconsiderate disregard for the pregnant woman with a baby in her arms. The cashier scanned an extra item that the customer did not mean to putchase, and she explained and requested a return. Before even answering her, she starts scanning my items, and then rudely blurts out "yeah but now you have to buy something". I am standing there with my jaw dropped. Never in my 10+ years in customer service have i been so revolted by the attitude of an elder woman to a pregnant mother of two. The customer kindly asked "why" she had to buy something to return, and the rude elderly woman, Nancy, AGAIN disregards her, rolls her eyes, and goes "policy" to her. The mother looked like she was gonna cry with how she was speaking to her. She ended up just walking out. Disgusting behavior. When it's my turn she doesn't say hello, just continues scanning and tossing my items to the bagging area like they're garbage. So much cringe on my face. Before finishing scanning my items she answers a phone call, and starts being rude to whoever was on the phone. She says to me (while on the phone) "bag?", and i dont even notice shes speaking to me because shes still on the phone, so she yells it at me "BAG?!?!?" I go "yeah" I hold my cash for a whole 2 minutes in front of her waing for her to get off the phone, and when she does.... She says "answer the question on the screen" and all it said was "insert card" after i handed her cash and she huffs and puffs, frustrated with me?!?!?!
