I absolutely love the store. I would go down to the Bay Area all of the time and stopping at Daiso…read morewas always a must. I went on opening day to the Daiso in Santa Maria. It is just like any of the other Daiso stores have been to. The prices are extremely affordable. They have so many unique items for sale. Everyone refers to die so as the Japanese dollar store. Everything ranges in price from $1.75 to I believe $15. They have pricing guides up and down the aisles to teach you how to identify the price of items. They offer a variety of Merchan nose from plushy's, school supplies, and stationary to snacks, cold beverages, and household supplies, and a little bit of everything in between. The aisles are a bit narrow, but I feel when the hype dies down and not so many people are in and out of the store it won't be an issue. On opening day, the line to check out was very long, but it also moved at a great pace. The employees were friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about where things were located in the store. I definitely enjoyed my first trip and I will be back for many more.

I went here looking for a ramen bowls and they had a lot to choose from. The store was well organized and clean and the staff were great. All the food was fresh and well put together. There's a surprising amount of craft supplies at this location and so many things on each aisle, you will want to se aside atleast an hour if you want to see everything. There's plenty of parking outside as well!

I love a bargain! I always like to shop at Grocery Outlet Bargain Center. There used to be a…read moresmall one in Morro Bay and I would shop for all the small parties I gave in my classroom each year! This large store in San Luis is located in the Laguna Lake shopping center just off the Los Osos Valley Road, so it's a little trafficy to get in but there's plenty of free parking and even shaded spaces available. There's even a special veterans parking space right near the front door. We made a visit the other day so I could get spices to cook some turkey Tikka Masala with the leftover Thanksgiving turkey. This is the only place I've found recently that has individual spices. They still sell them by the individual spice like oregano or thyme or majoram, Most places now have one spice called Italian seasoning or pumpkin spice or barbecue spice and you don't know what the combination is. Since I actually cook things from scratch, I want individual spices and this store has them at bargains prices. Today I got chili, turmeric, oregano, and more cinnamon since it's the cinnamon season! I also enjoy the display of little seasonal gifts that they have available. I got a couple of cute soft socks for my secret Santa pals and scouted out a lot of little stocking stuffers for my grandkids.. When I was a student )appreciated the small sizes of gourmet cheeses and could offer a very nice cheese plate for a lower price than I would've had to pay at other stores. They also have all kinds of crackers,, snacks, and fresh produce, right when you walk in. Paper plates and party supplies are also plentiful, so it is a good place to visit to prepare for those holiday parties. I also got a large size of fresh crumbled feta cheese as well as a plain low-fat yogurt, which has a wonderful homemade tangy flavor. This place is perfect if you do your cooking from scratch because it has all the basics at affordable prices!

Some are now the sane price as at F4L or Tj's. Some are still bargains. You have to really compare prices first. The fresh produce often spoils quickly, especially items like fruit and avocados that seemed to be on the edge -- if they're a bargain and you will use them right away, fine. Again, be careful. GO still has good prices on closeout items, so it's worth an occasional visit. But for me at least it's no longer part of my weekly shopping rounds.
