    This is the first Dollar Tree I've been in in a very long time. It has to be the cleanest Dollar Tree and most organized one I've ever seen.

There's an electric section there's a shoe section there's a furniture section. There is a tools and fix it section some people are saying that the Help is not very Helpful. I did not go into Habitat 4 Humanity for a coffee and danish with the people who work there, but I see what you mean there's one lady there. I don't know her name just stay clear her there are two men that I find work there and they are very nice. I have found a couch there that was super clean and made by this famous furniture person when I looked it up on the Internet these couches go for over $6000 and it looked like it was in perfect condition. I also bought a dresser there. I will post a picture of it. That is also in good condition and the price was right. There's a different color each week and there's 50% off of whatever color that is I find it hard when they are putting out a new color there aren't many things with that color so I agree with one of the other Reviews but every time that I have gone there, I end up with a few things and it doesn't cost me that much in the back is the pick up for furniture and drop off for your donations. They also have a number to call if you want them to pick it up from your house for free. It has to be in pretty good condition though. They also have a deal where for $75 they will deliver it three different items but you're not guaranteed when they will deliver. Habitat 4 Humanity does wonderful work and so I don't mind if they're a bit standoffish. They are much less expensive than Goodwill, which is now like a boutique and very pricey for the same things they used to sell for a dollar. But that's another review. Habitat 4 Humanity is a great store with there all the time and as I said get there early so you can get first dibs at the new stuff that arrived the day before it's a fun place to find bargains so go in there with no expectations. I know have a great time.

Shorts are around $6-$10 and shirts can be as high as $10 which is comparable to stores like Ross or Marshalls. At that point, I'd rather just buy new. It also explains why they seem to have such a large inventory of clothes, they're just not moving at those prices. They used to be much more reasonable, so it's a bit disappointing to see the change.

Luckily Ray stepped up and was more than happy to assist with grabbing me a box while my hands were full. His customer service definitely made up for Amy's lack of. Hopefully management keeps this in mind when considering promotions. :)

    Stopped by this Costco in Palm Desert to fill up on gas, and go inside (if not too crowded). Found…read moreit to be so less crowded than our neighborhood SoCal ones. Gas has reached over $6 a gallon now, so actively looked for a Costco while traveling from Palm Desert to Joshua Tree. The entrance to the gas station is not meant for high volume, with the eight lanes (4 islands, 2 pumps each so no need for parallel parking in a middle spot) having space for 3 individual cars behind. Once those fill up, there is no space except to go out to the street. Price was significantly less than the surrounding stations, and the paying/pumping was exactly the same as every other Costco (one tap if you have the Citi Costco card). We did go inside the Costco, with the mandatory membership card tap to enter. Once we got our few items, lines weren't too bad with additional checkers using hand held scanners to individually scan each item in the cart, eliminating need to have to put any items on the conveyor. It does make it faster...it's not Amazon Fresh that needs the RFID 'scan the whole cart at once' technology, but Costco. The food court is inside and wasn't too crowded, and would have stopped if we didn't have other plans. The $1.50 hot dog/drink special always tempts me.

    Shoe City

    *Hot in the (Shoe) City*…read more I've driven or walked by Shoe City countless times because it's within a large shopping complex I frequent, on Monterey & Dinah Shore. The name "Shoe City" pretty much tells you what you need to know...and what's in-store inside this store. But what I did not know is that Shoe City has a very large inventory of top name brands at reasonable prices. They also have a wide selection of high-performance athletic shoes I did not expect to see here. They also have a nice display of hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts and socks. Even noticed some Dodgers and Red Sox hats for future reference. On this particular day, I strolled inside Shoe City to check out the place...and cool down a bit because it was over 100 degrees outside, late in the month of May. The layout is similar to what I've seen at other discount shoe stores -- aisles & aisles of shoes neatly organized, with stacks of shoe boxes piled 4 feet high. Of course, I went straight to the Nike area to peek around. Within seconds I was approached and asked if I "need help with anything?" which I appreciated, and kindly said "no thank you...but thanks for asking." Just when I thought it was over: I noticed something I never expected here -- Nike Offcourt Adjust Slides, cushioned with memory foam. And a color I've never seen. I have 4 pairs in other colors, and recently purchased a new pair at Dick's Sporting Goods a month ago...and a month before that too. Tho I don't need another pair, these unique shade of brown Nike Slides was calling my name, to be added to my collection. As often happens, they had every size but mine, so I called over the helpful gal who I spoke with before, and asked if there's more in stock. I mentioned how I've never seen this color and she told me they "just got them in the other day." Then when I thought my luck ran out, she found the last pair in my size, that was misplaced below the displayed shoe next to it. I was so happy I said "ya see, I needed your help after all" and we had a good laugh together. Tho the "price comparison" sticker on the box is inflated, the sale price is the same $40 I've paid for these Nike Slides at Dicks and elsewhere. I mentioned it to another girl who rang me up at the register, who I assume is the manager, and she agreed with me. Then we struck up a nice convo about the cool color of these slides. Then after hearing stories about my collection and how damn comfy they are, she told me she'll have to get her first pair to try out. Then she asked if I want to "SPIN THE WHEEL for a chance to WIN a PRIZE?" Who am I to say "NO"...so I went to the other side of the counter to spin the BIG WHEEL ~~ not too hard not too soft...but just a tad bit short of winning the BIG PRIZE. Oh well, it was still fun. I was very impressed with Shoe City's merchandise and their helpful & friendly customer service. And their AC room temp was perfecto. If you haven't been to a Shoe City before, I recommend checking it out...and you might be pleasantly surprised to find a pair of shoes you love too. {{{Big~High~Five}}} Walk-off Homerun

    *Send Me an Angel*…read more My family & I have donated lots of household items, clothing, furniture, and nick-knacks to this Angel View store thru the years. Angel View has saved us from more hassle than we had already encountered, if Angel View didn't pick up some of the big heavy items -- opposed to other items we boxed up and brought to this store ourselves. I've read some negative Yelp reviews claiming Angel View overcharges for merchandise, sold to the public at the store. I don't agree with those comments. Their prices are very reasonable. Some are even too cheap. Tho everything is secondhand and used, you get what you pay for, and they offer great deals on mostly everything. What I do know? Angel View has lots of overhead running a business and their charitable organization. Just because they're a "non profit" doesn't mean they're not entitled to cover all their costs and expenses. When you contact Angel View to pick up heavy objects for donation, you speak to live human beings who are not working for free. Angel View gladly sends out one of their big trucks to your home or place of business, to pick up your heavy objects -- saving you the time & effort of having to do it yourself or barrow a bigger vehicle or rent your own truck to get rid of all the larger items you don't know what it do with. Angel View has to pay for those trucks, the gas, the maintenance, the auto insurance, the workers driving the trucks that do all the heavy lifting, so you don't have to. Angel View stores have team members & employees who work there for a living. Running any business no matter if it's a "non profit" or not, ain't free. They have rent and bills to pay, along with utilities, supplies, workers compensation insurance, and several other expenses that most don't realize, who never owned or ran a business of their own. This Angel View store is larger than some of their others, it's very clean and well organized. And their staff is friendly and helpful. I've made a purchase at their other location in Palm Desert that I will write a separate review on their Yelp page. I'm very grateful & thankful for Angel View because they're providing a much needed service for a charitable cause. Shop till you drop... Or Donate to Angel View and earn your wings. {{{Big~High-Five}}}
