Many of them (particularly the ones that I prefer) have intricate weaving and designs and are dyed so vibrantly. The shop owner is very friendly and is enthusiastic about recommending items he thinks you'll like. There are paid lots nearby but also free two hour parking spots on the street right by the store.

Parking lot is minimal and trash strewn about everywhere, in addition to people asking you for money before you even get in the door. Today I was penny shopping and had a cartful of items that the store manager Callie refused to sell to me, saying she could get fired for doing so. I called corporate, who informed her that she had to sell the items. She ended up still refusing to sell a few items that were in a box in front of a shelf on the store floor, saying they were boxed for sendbacks. Corporate rep said she should have sold those to me as well because they were indeed on the store floor. Box was open for any customer to grab but I was made to feel like a thief pulling stuff from the back room. This store has wet, damaged merchandise galore from their ceiling caving in and the shelves filled with products over 4 years old but they're still wanting to bicker over a customer helping clear out items that are ultimately going to end up in their dumpster. The rest of the staff here are very nice and I never had issues prior to this encounter. One employee even warned me that the manager would likely give me a hard time about penny shopping there. Come to find out this is a recurring issue at this location. I've penny shopped at least 10 additional locations and this is the only store that has given me a hard time.

A lot of the same good and bad features of Building 19 are found here. Material is from distressed suppliers and similar sources, prices are lower than the usual retail, cleanliness is not at a premium, and the store is disorganized. If you can get through that and keep your eye on the bargains, you'll do alright. Don't expect to go here for pampering or for an "experience." Ollie's isn't selling that.

After I had spent some time in the store, my husband walked in with our clearly marked service dog. The owner immediately pounced on him and said there are no dogs allowed in the store. My husband informed him that it is a service dog. The owner said "I don't believe you. What is he a service dog for." My husband pointed out the dog's collar and tag, and reminded the owner that it is against the law to ask that question, as no one has the right to ask for any medical/mental health information-that is federally protected information. The owner instantly shot back"I'm the f*ing owner and I can ask anything I want." Irate, my husband took the dog and left the store. As I was already in line with my items (balls and toys for the dog included), I contemplated buying them anyway until the owner and his wife-who didn't know we were together-continued to bash my husband saying things like "Service dog my ass" and "what is THAT little dog going to help him with?" I dropped my items and went to walk out of the store. My daughter said to the man that we were going to buy the items FOR the service dog, and the owner and his wife both began to scream at her. As we walked out his last words were a very sarcastic "I'm sure I'll go broke. " These people obviously need to be instructed regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act and Hippa laws. I hope that no one shops at his store if this is how they treat people.
