It's almost like they don't want customers. You walk in and they gave you a dirty look. All the cold stuff is almost expired. Nope.

This is a great market area located in Lynnfield. Once you get by the challenge of finding a…read moreparking spot, everything else is gravy. All kinds of stores and restaurants. Some of the top winners for me first of all is the Apple Store. You also have Trader Joe's and Legals.. the yard house is also great. And you have kings for entertainment. I haven't even got started there so many stores. It's a little challenging in the winter with the snow, but it's still a great place to come always has a great atmosphere going on. Anyway good luck with the parking where you're purchasing food to take home and cook or hitting one of the restaurants for drinks. There's a great tequila place that I like in the marketplace. I'm sure you can fulfill any clothing, shoes, hair, dye, restaurant, entertainment, etc., etc. check it out great place.

I can't say enough how poorly this shopping area was designed. We can start with the parking. You…read moredrive into a gauntlet of narrow rotary's, winding roads, angled parking, crosswalks galore, U turns, intersections coming out of nowhere and pedestrians having to cross across all of this to get from store to store, side to side. Aside from the common sense parking lots behind the buildings the whole traffic flow design is congested and treacherous! Perhaps little bridges to walk over the Storrow Drive of the North Shore would be a better thought out plan then having to walk in front of distracted drivers trying to find a place to park and/or the establishment they want to dine at! Also, the handicap parking is a joke. I tried taking my handicap mother to a restaurant, The parking space was still too far for her to walk from to the restaurant, we couldn't even pull up to a door to drop her off as there is nowhere to pull safely to the side to do this. So we had to eat someplace else. Besides that who thought an open air mall in one of the coldest places in the country was a good idea? I remember back in the 60's and 70's when they were enclosing malls, i.e. The North Shore Mall, it's a more pleasurable experience to be in a climate controlled environment when it's below freezing many months of the year. Once you get past the chaos of the driving and finding a parking space. You need to play "find the store I want to go to" unlike a mall where you walk straight down the center and the stores are all line up, there is buildings hiding behind other buildings. It's like a scavage hunt trying to find where you want to go, and it's not enjoyable when it's snowing, raining, icy or just too dang hot or cold! There is no rhyme or reason to any of this design. Also, for the most part, the stores are filled with pretentious bored housewives who many of them NOT ALL but mostly are too stuck up to help you.

They even have a driveway that connects both parking lots so I usually exit Kowloons exit rather than Ocean States. After finding a parking spot, you have to check out potted plants, and seasonal goods in front of the building. If you want to purchase some, you have to bring them inside purchase. Once inside the building, it's almost like a maze. There's so many different ways you can go through this building. Suggest you plan to explore. They have something for everybody everybody. Basically they have everything you could possibly think of under one roof. Linens, garden accessories, clothing, food, house, supplies, even rugs. For me, I head right over to the food section. I have a lot of fun here. As a foodie, they have all kinds of different specialty foods mostly from around New England, but some from the world. I enjoy reading packages that I've never seen before some healthy some not. They have some nice healthy organic items mixed in with miscellaneous therapy, sugary salty items. I tend to buy a lot of my canned fish here. They have kippers, herring, tuna and sardines, all in good virgin olive oil water no additives. I stock up on these as they are an excellent value. A few other products that I usually purchase while I'm here I'll be organic pastas made from vegetables. Also some of the tomato sauces and marinades excellent selection available. Be prepared to stand in line as they only have a few clerks one or two open at a time even when the store is busy. Please don't complain because I believe this is what keeps the pricing low. Kudos to Ocean State for self checkouts. I applaud this. As for cleanliness, it's probably a five on a 10 star scale. When you go here, just assume you're shopping in basically a big warehouse. Employee wise the clerks and managers always seem to have a pretty good attitude here I've spoke to a few of them and they seem very nice always polite willing to help the customer. I've only had interaction with them at a cash register, but they all seem pleasant to me. A bonus make sure you sign up for that emails because they have what they call crazy deals. This is huge people. They have special items when you purchase them they give you the same or a dollar value back on a card. if you shop correctly, it's very lucrative for your pocketbook. For example, they have one small area in the back usually has about 10 or 20 items on it. If you get lucky enough and you want to purchase these items every time you spend $10 on these items they give you a gift card for $10.. These are always food items in the back they call it eat for free. Last time I was in the store I got lucky. They had three types of tuna pouches in this section. I was lucky enough that one of them. The only ingredients were tuna, spices, and virgin olive oil. Usually for an ingredient reader like me I don't get lucky on this table, but this time I did. Turned out to be a great day at Ocean State for me as they also had a few will get a soups with great ingredients on the table at the same time. I don't think it's a record however I spent $170 and I left it with an $89 gift card. Good on future purchases and the gift card is good for anything in the entire store. I would say, read the flyer and see what crazy deals are available and make your way over to the eat for free section. Maybe you'll get lucky. ENJOY‼.

It was very neat and orderly. Wakefield - a dump. The aisles are always a mess with junk waiting to be shelved on the floors. Today I was looking for seasonal wrapping. Was told there was no more. So I went to the regular wrapping. They left a very large metal thing used to stock IN FRONT OF THE MERCHANDISE just outside a doorway that led to a storage room. Perhaps they could have left it inside there leaving room for us to see the merchandise. On my way out of the store I passed by a whole display of seasonal bags, foil wrapping paper, etc. right behind where I asked employee if they had seasonal gift wrap. When I saw her again, I said "here's the holiday wrapping". "Yup" she said. I only go there if I need something I might get cheaper there than CVS. Today I bought "scotch tape". I think it was from the 50's. I'm done. I hope they close and a decent looking store moves in. Walking in, the place was very crowded with a wide variety of styles and a ton of heads with wigs.  Honestly, the shop did not seem like the place for me.  I figured I'd get a bra and then go shopping for clothes. I was very surprised to find everything I needed and some items I would not have considered, but she asked me to try on for her!  The shop owner, Barbara, is really good at what she does! I am not a fashion-focused person, I like sticking to timeless staples with a funky twist and comfortable shoes. But, not only did I get a good fitting and a bra I love, but a bonus stylist who worked with me, showing me a variety of options, really listened to what I did or didn't like about each and  helped me craft the perfect outfit for the wedding and a great bra!  I think everyone should go, alone bc it is tight in there, and just see what she has for you, it's fun. Thank you, Barbara! Not sure if you would have recommended the platform sneakers I wore, lol, but I got so many compliments on my get-up!
