I want to be perfectly clear & as honest with the people who are reading this.... After tonight's dramatic episode of what happened in this store. It was a descent store never great...but it use to be alright to go in and pick things up quickly for my events... but in time things changed in this particular store. Tonight, it really shead some light on #DollarTree and it's management of this store in Lakewood/Denver area W. Colfax location. I simply asked a question to a lady who I thought was just a regular employee & asked her if she would show me where the large manila business envelopes were located. To my surprise in a loud shrilling voice, she yelled at me at the top of her lungs there... over there in that mess somewhere, and said no I'm not going to help you... I said something smart right back after her nastiness... "Oh that's so sweet of you, your so kind & #helpful to your #customers " She replied I'm not going to help you because your a difficult customer when your in here... and yelling well we don't have any then, we're out.... (all because I asked her the location it's usually located in, and that I would look there...) I finally found in between the horrible mess on that isle. I understand it's Christmas time & customers are rather messy & in a hurry so that stuff happens with all stores right??.. This this person... (Jennifer) and how I was approached & how irate she was .. I thought she might actually be willing to assist me... boye was I ever wrong! I couldn't believe what I was hearing... In some of the past visits; the store was filthy and totally a mess, they sold all of my balloons I pre-ordered for my event. On another visit ranted on & on, and she grievously complained to me about how she had to do all of this extra work. I heard all about how #DollarTrees expectations of her were enormous. Tonight, I thought about it for a moment and figured it out.... if you hate what you do so bad... then don't work for a certain company anymore... Just find something that you like to do & don't take it out on customers. Everyone else is trying new jobs... after re-evaluating there situations at their work and I totally understand that it's a difficult job & store to work for especially during these tough time...but tonight finally finding out #Jennifer who is actually a #manager at #DollarTree , that would behave in this appalling manner... really put things in proper prospective for me. If she's not treating a customer right then how is she treating her employees... that's a really scary thought... I started to feel sorry for the other employees that are supervised by her. I was very upset when I was at the register, spoke to an extremely nice & polite young man that's in training for management... I say take her out & put the nice young man in...he might not be quite as well seasoned as some management staff, but he does know enough about people & how to treat them well... In time he'll be much better at his job than his supervisor. I hope that the corporate office takes this seriously and straightens out this problem at this particular store... the other employees seem to work well with customers... although they're at little stressed without enough employees, just as every other business is struggling to get & keep people to stay in their jobs...however their not rude. It really ruined my night & I'm trying to hold on to my Christmas Spirit...despite the unkind selfish act of an uncaring person working for a good company that I like to shop at for my professional & personal needs, (most of the time) that is until now! I was embarrassed & dismayed, yes... but my hesitation to returned to this store on W. Colfax is in serious in jeopardy very close to my home. I also shop other #DollarTree stores all over the Denver metroplex area & the #Westernslope depending upon the location of my particular #Event that I produce, and have never...ever had a problem. I did tried to call the corporate office, but couldn't reach anyone, as it was probably too late... I'm a good #customer , and deserve better then what happened to me here @ the #DollarTree #WestColfax I'd recommend that you visit anyone of their other stores, but not this one until it's brokenness is fixed. Ahhhh another DOLLAR TREE store... This store is one of the BIGGER Dollar Tree store that we have been. I like I like I like it ALOT! Managed to purchase items for Hubs weekly needs, snacks galore especially those Plantains, Kitchen stuffs etc etc. They have the refrigerated items located all the way back. On the EXTREME Right is the Greeting Cards sections. MY OH MY! Another Dollar Tree that is kept organized, clean while we were there. This recent visit was on Sunday May 25th 2014. A decently stocked Dollar Tree (I check them all out if I'm in the neighborhood). However, the management treats people unprofessionally. It does not matter who they are or what they did, saying "you are a waste of space" is abusive. I left my purchase on the belt and walked after the second such screaming altercation between the manager lady and someone in the store. Great place to shop. Lots of variety and lots of bargains. Hallmark greeting cards for one dollar? Yes, it's true. Many choices and of course you buy things you really don't need but it's only a dollar, what the heck. A package of foam paint brushes? I already have two packages of foam paint brushes for one dollar each but a third package certainly will be needed at sometime in the future. You get the picture, lots of cheap shopping for stuff. As far as dollar stores are concerned, this is one of the best I've encountered. The thing that really struck me about this particular Dollar Tree are the amount of brand names available. I typically wind up at the dollar store for novelty kinds of items. But after a recent trip here it got me thinking... Why should I be giving King Sooper's $3+ for a tube of Crest tooth paste when I can buy it here for 1? I can literally get the exact same garbage bags, storage bags, toothpaste, dish soap, hand soap, greeting cards, snacks here for half the price that I would at stores like King Soops, Safeway, or Target. That's true of other Dollar Tree locations as well but this one is fairly large and has a much better selection than I've seen at others. There's even a frozen/refrigerated section for those times when you NEED a $1 frozen pizza (what?). In the same parking lot as Casa Bonita, so you know it must be good. read more

The drug addict manager & cashier who works lane 1 with clear glass stole over FIFTY dollars from my girlfriend and I. we payed 3$ in laundry detergent (that we didn't get) and then asked for 50$ in cash back. It went through on our card and they said it declined when i had various forms of proof the transaction was completed and I was missing 54$ dollars. They said they would count the cashiers till and see if they could see if she was over 50$. Instead of counting in front of us they took the register to the back, locked the door, and took TWENTY minutes in their to "count the money" and came back out and said she didn't that our card was decline and there was nothing to do about it. payed 3$ for detergent we didn't even get and had 50$ taken off of our card for cash back we didn't receive. horrible service. read more

I love Dollar Tree! My daughter just had her 13th b-day party and while I wasn't sure if kids of this age were still into party bags, I went to Dollar Tree and bought $58 dollars worth of items for boys and girls and the kids absolutely LOVED them!!! There were only 6 kids, but I had made 16 bags, 8 candy and 8 with fun stuff like glow sticks, finger traps, and a couple other things just in case some kids preferred toys over candy. I then had a plastic container filled with other misc. toys like the squishy brain balls, lip gloss and nail polish for the girls, just in case they didn't really want a goody bag. Had I bought stuff like this at Target or Wal-Mart I would have easily spent over $100!! I spent almost half that and the kids went absolutely nuts over them. I even had another older boy around 17 years old that wasn't even with our party wanting to grab a couple fun bags! read more

I called the store to check on some items that I didn't get that I had purchased and been charged for but a woman called Jennifer claiming to be the owner told me there's nothing they can do about purchases customers leave behind and they're not responsible if you take your items or not but they push you out the door so fast and they mix your bags with the next person they're already ringing so it's easy for them to give your purchases to the next person . Jennifer was pretty rude and basically said that she doesn't care about her customers and she'll resell their items if they didn't give them to you . Their ​ staff is also sometimes pretty rude screaming at each other or at customers, the only special thing about this store is that they usually carry good bread other than that you can get everything else elsewhere for the same price. glad to know I won't be giving them my hard-earned dollars anymore since they don't care about me as a customer read more

Dollar tree, I love thee. The Dollar Tree is the best goddamn dollar store around, most (not all, in particular the Hamden shopping center location) are rather clean and organized. I'm poor or just cheap and loading up on stocking stuffers, random junk and foil is enough to give me an orgasm. Sure, you don't always need that additional generic brand of ladies leg shave gel, ugly dish towels, or the plastic shot glass set....but it's a dollar! Worst store ever! The manager Lori is the worst manager as well! She refused service to me for a simple question and called the police on me!! The police came and told her she was wrong and they will be contacting cooperate them selves. The whole time I was in the store Lori was on her phone texting then she got a phone call and was talking loudly using curse words not caring she had customers in her store!
