Picture attached is when apparently some man stole a purse from someone and smashed candles to keep staff at bay. Security just walked around looking lost waiting for police. It's being said on social media that Huntersville location is smaller but better than this one. And don't me started how they never display Tabitha Brown's items.

I'm a huge TJ Maxx addict/fan so I shop here quite often! This location/store, in my opinion, has…read morealways been fairly organized but as with any discount store such as this there are often days when you go in and it looks like cyclones have been through. I feel this location/store is rather small and that could add to the messy feel at times. Despite having to pick up misplaced items or sort through the hodgepodge (mostly in the clearance section), I love to shop at any TJ Maxx to save money on brand name items, especially clothing for my son and I and shoes for me! Saving money on brand name clothing is especially important when you have teenagers that insist on being trendy or "branded" as I call it. Please note the clothing is past/previous year so all teens may not go for this! This store has plenty of brand name clothing for men, women and children but only has shoes for women. However, this is standard for TJ Maxx. I feel this location doesn't have as many big brands like The North Face, Hilfiger or my personal favorite, Lucky Brand as other locations but that could be because those items don't sell as well in our small town. Bigger brand equal bigger price tag even here at TJ Maxx! This store has a good selection of luggage and purses, as well as home goods. I have often found good buys in the home goods section. It's kind of like going on a treasure hunt of sorts! Some people like to go to yard sales, flea markets or Goodwill but I prefer TJ Maxx for my bargain scores! TJ Maxx is a really great place to shop for gifts at Christmas, too! There's generally an entire area at the end of the women's clothing section specifically dedicated to inexpensive gifts. Yes, another score for me! I, also, like their specialty foods section, jewelry and pet section. I found dried persimmons a couple years ago and now my Dad is hooked on them. I see/purchase 2-3 bags during the Christmas season. Not sure if it's a seasonal item or not. I have purchased numerous watches and jewelry pieces from TJ Maxx over the years! I purchase my pet beds here, too! This location is my go to store because TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop in and it's convenient! If I don't find what I'm looking for here, I just go to a larger one in a surrounding town. Do yourself a favor and go on a treasure hunt in this TJ Maxx today! You never know what goodies you'll find until you start digging, especially in the clearance section at the back of the store! I've never had an issue with poor customer service at this location but in my experiences, you don't really interact with staff until you reach the registers for check out. Staff have always been pleasant to me! I'm so glad Statesville has this TJ Maxx!

This is a good place to shop during the holidays. The key is to shop early!…read moreYesterday, I went there for some socks that they advertised on their website, the app, an email and the flyer that they send via USPS! It was pouring raining outside so I knew I could take my time while I was there! Because, I'm here from Atlanta I'm not that familiar with this location! When I walked in I asked an associate where were the socks. She sent me in the wrong direction, so I asked another and she told me where they were. I found the socks and was looking for the ones that was in their ads. They wasn't their nor was there a sign showing that they might have been there! I must have spent pretty close to 20 minutes looking for these socks. They were not there! At this point i'm thinking "bait n switch!" This was not the 1st time I've shopped this location based on something that was listed in their ads and ran into the same results! I made my way to what is left of their toy section! That's when I notice this tall black guy following me! I knew he was following me because, I made my wat to the book section and he was there too three isles over just standing there! I purposely took my time looking for books for a 2 yrs old. And sure enough he was still there watching me. Finally, the rain eased up and I took my items to the checkout and he was there too! He made a purchase and I remember thinking, maybe he was a customer, until instead of going out the door, he walked to the back of the store. I get it, shoplifting is a issues especially in today economy, but everybody is not a shoplifting! And being followed around a store that practice "bait n switch" really made me feel some kind of way! I'm angry, but I get it! I'm not just a customer, I 'm a member and I have the app! #ollies #baitnswtich

I especially like the 15-25% off days I just missed one :( That's when I stock up on my favorite coffee brand! They have quite a good selection. I am definitely a "name brand" person... so that is a bit of a drawback; but on some things, the brand doesn't matter so much. Check out is my main complaint... they have changed the routing to the check out counters; so you are stuck in line without anything fun/interesting to top off your cart. It would be nice to be able to build up points to use at later dates, in addition to their planned discount days.... as a partially handicapped person, it is sometimes difficult to navigate when the store is so crowded. Overall, a good store who doesn't try to be more than they are! js

I loved this store, it had things I like to wear and lots of basic pieces that you can add to an outfit. Very very affordable. Chile! The lack of customer service is high in this establishment!…read more I do like the variety of clothing and prices here. I purchased a dress that I had to go down in size and jeans that I had to go up in size. Try on everything so you can make sure it fits. My fitting room experience was not great. The attendant was more concerned with conversing with her coworkers than checking me in. Self check out can be tricky if you are not paying attention. The lady ahead of me did not get a receipt and the attendant told her incorrect info about obtaining it. After I paid and my receipt did not come out, I asked for assistance. Turns out the paper was jammed in the machine. I have my receipt, but the lady in front of me was SOL. The manager told her if you need to bring something back to tell them what happened. I hope they don't give her a hard time about that! I do agree with other Yelpers to come here during the day or during the week to not be in a crowded store. Oh and they close at 8pm with the mall, not 9pm as the Yelp listing says.
