I really hope Goodwill stops raising their prices. They should have left it where it was. Everything they sell was donated - they paid zero dollars! Shirts/Tshirts should not be $5.99! It's rather disappointing to see the cost of many of their items. They even raised the price of books and stuffed animals! I believe they now charge a percent of the original cost. What you used to find was a bargain. Now there is a double take on the price. For examke I saw a Ninja blender. Thought that would be something I would want ... Nope - they had it priced at $79.99. What? Ridiculous. Also, the stickers they now use are VERY difficult to remove. You definitely need GooGone to remove the sticker-often ruining the item you just purchased. At minimum can you at least put the price on the bottom? It is unfortunate a non-profit has to raise their prices. This should be one store where you can buy used items at a reasonable price. I doubt it is going to their employees... Most don't care how long you have to wait to check out. I don't want to knock all of the employees because there are some that are amazing and I appreciate them greatly. read more

This is a different Goodwill Donation drop off in Concord in the opposite direction from my last donation trip. This place is larger, more modern, and has a specific driveway where workers will come out to the car, if they aren't taking care of other issues. I didn't mind unloading used sporting goods and office supplies. Overall, this is a decent place for dropping off lightly used goods. read more

I asked about a few bags in the book bag area while thrifting that I had seen at other GW locations for varying prices. ( 1.99-3.99 or more). But those were reviewed and priced ahead of time. This store had no prices on theirs. Almost all. It was in the book bag section.. the two I asked about. One "manager" saw the original price on one and said it was a higher price because it had a handle and was a high original price so a handbag?? The other book bag had a handle too. It's at Goodwill. Much stuff we take there was a high original price that we no longer want. I asked a second mgr Jeremy just to make sure on 7/1/25 at 4:15 pm and he was VERY rude. He cut me off. Hostile. Condescending. Ok, you don't wan to take time to price appropriately... that's fine but it was the RUDENESS. I just left. Super disappointing experience. Very poor customer service. Horrible customer service! Yesterday they had two long lines at registers and closed the one I was in without even putting a sign up or saying anything. We were left standing there and would've had to get in the back of the other line. It was not until I asked a staff member that we found out. Plenty of staff members working so not sure why only one register was operating. read more

I like this Goodwill because you can actually find something here. You can find something here because the store is clean. It doesn't smell bad. The floors have been mopped. The merchandise is organized and displayed so it's easy see what you are looking for. I think the surrounding neighborhoods boost the quality of the donated merchandise. They definitely have nicer things than most of the local Goodwills. From the clothing to the household items, everything here is pretty nice. The employees are friendly and helpful. The prices are fair. read more

Here stands one of my favorite haunts. I have found so many wonderful, eclectic items. I can scarcely drive by without at least a quick peek inside. There are two great things about supporting this organization: 1. A portion of the profits help bring employment opportunities and training to your community. 2. You are helping the environment by reusing and recycling items. Following is the single issue I have with this establishment. Any donation they receive with the tags still on them, will systematically be marked at a much higher price. This is not the best practice. There are others like me, who never get around to removing the tag. Particularly if the tag is at the bottom of something or is in a space that in no way interferes with using it. It may be old or well used, but I never look there so the tag remains, often indefinitely. Goodwill price managers please respectfully note: A tag is not a reliable indication of an item being nearly new or even gently used. A tag is just a tag and not a valid justification for a price hike. read more

Before I entered the store I went and dropped off two bags full of donations. When I went to the store to shop I was looking for work pants. I proceeded to check out when I got to check out there was a girl named Carmen training and a lady named Linda so she told her that the pants were six bucks and I asked why were they six bucks because I got them off the work pants rack that said 4.49 she continues to fold up the item and rolls her eyes and says they are jeans you can see pockets so it's jeans. I told her don't worry about it as I was walking out she mumbles it's okay whatever. Even at the Goodwill you would think you would have better customer service but I guess not. I won't be donating at this location ever again. read more

I have never in my life visited a store that told you what time they close so many times. Literally have been told 5 times that's the store closes at 7, 5 times in 10 minutes. The gentlemen now has told me that the register shuts down in 1 minute. Absolutely ridiculous. Do you not need the sales?? I was in line at 7pm and obviously the register did not shot down. Oh, dear. This Goodwill used to be one of the best in my area. I'm not sure what's happened since it opened (2-3 years ago?), but it has really gone downhill. This is one of those thrifts where a half a dozen or so people follow employees around to get at the best merchandise. (It always seems to be the same people, and, to be fair, I have seen the same behavior at other Goodwill stores.) The minute a rack of clothing or a container of goods is rolled out, these people are on it! They're like buzzards on roadkill! What's left is what gets put out. And what's being put out of late is not so good. I'm seeing a lot of damaged merchandise making its way to the shelves and racks. What's happened to quality control? Do the folks in the back not have time to check for chips and dings and tears and stains anymore? And the 'Target' merchandise! Yes, most of it is in good shape, but some of it isn't. Junk is junk. If you put it out broken or damaged, it's junk -- doesn't matter if it came from Target. Oh, and if you're going to sell it for more than what it was on clearance for at Target, at least make sure to get rid of the Target clearance stickers. read more

One of the better Goodwill stores in the Charlotte area. Probably the best one in Concord/Kannapolis. Great clothes selection and fairly neat overall, or as neat as a Goodwill can be. Has a fairly large selection of books and household goods. My only complaint is that they have a beautiful checkout area with about four registers and there's usually a huge line with only one, maybe two registers open. It would be nice if they would open more registers when they get busy. Employees are nice there, too. read more
