I'm a huge TJ Maxx addict/fan so I shop here quite often! This location/store, in my opinion, has always been fairly organized but as with any discount store such as this there are often days when you go in and it looks like cyclones have been through. I feel this location/store is rather small and that could add to the messy feel at times. Despite having to pick up misplaced items or sort through the hodgepodge (mostly in the clearance section), I love to shop at any TJ Maxx to save money on brand name items, especially clothing for my son and I and shoes for me! Saving money on brand name clothing is especially important when you have teenagers that insist on being trendy or "branded" as I call it. Please note the clothing is past/previous year so all teens may not go for this! This store has plenty of brand name clothing for men, women and children but only has shoes for women. However, this is standard for TJ Maxx. I feel this location doesn't have as many big brands like The North Face, Hilfiger or my personal favorite, Lucky Brand as other locations but that could be because those items don't sell as well in our small town. Bigger brand equal bigger price tag even here at TJ Maxx! This store has a good selection of luggage and purses, as well as home goods. I have often found good buys in the home goods section. It's kind of like going on a treasure hunt of sorts! Some people like to go to yard sales, flea markets or Goodwill but I prefer TJ Maxx for my bargain scores! TJ Maxx is a really great place to shop for gifts at Christmas, too! There's generally an entire area at the end of the women's clothing section specifically dedicated to inexpensive gifts. Yes, another score for me! I, also, like their specialty foods section, jewelry and pet section. I found dried persimmons a couple years ago and now my Dad is hooked on them. I see/purchase 2-3 bags during the Christmas season. Not sure if it's a seasonal item or not. I have purchased numerous watches and jewelry pieces from TJ Maxx over the years! I purchase my pet beds here, too! This location is my go to store because TJ Maxx is my favorite store to shop in and it's convenient! If I don't find what I'm looking for here, I just go to a larger one in a surrounding town. Do yourself a favor and go on a treasure hunt in this TJ Maxx today! You never know what goodies you'll find until you start digging, especially in the clearance section at the back of the store! I've never had an issue with poor customer service at this location but in my experiences, you don't really interact with staff until you reach the registers for check out. Really surprised at the brand names with low prices. They have a great variety from jewelry, shoes, home goods to fabulous clothes. Very clean and customer service is great! I highly recommend shopping there. read more

I love to maxx but at this location in Statesville I always get harassed about opening a credit card, and it's always by the same woman with a clipboard..I already have one , after telling her I get a barrage of questions and the lady gets persistent in wanting to know if I'm going to use my card and if not she will go into a whole commentary on the use of credit cards. This is very off putting. read more

Did an Instacart order for TJ Maxx, they ordered food and from Instacart to get delivered to the store, and it was 117 units and I didn't even get a tip from them just the $7 Instacart payment. read more

I am an advid TJ Maxx shopper. I go to this store and Mooresville every week. The store itself is nice and kept up. The greeter is always pleasant, but the jewelry counter either never has anyone there or the person there does what they can to avoid waiting on people. All cashiers have been friendly except for Lorna. She reprimanded me, a few times within the transaction, for not telling her I had a gift card that I wanted to use before her telling me my total. I apologized, but after saying I was sorry 3 times I just let her continue to gripe until the transaction was over. I had the displeasure of having her wait on me again today. I realized I did not have my wallet upon completing the transaction. I was very embarrassed and irritated with myself that I left it back in my office. I explained this to Lorna who responded hastily with, "what does that have to do with anything?" I again apologized and explained I did not have my wallet with my money/TJ Maxx card and I will just have to make my purchase another time. She sighed and said, "I guess Management will have to void this." I get that that this was irritating for her and it took her a long time to ring up the few items I had, but I assure you I was more upset about this than her. She really seems to struggle with people skills and scanning items at a decent pace. I think from now on I will shop in Mooresville. Sorry for the inconvenience of shopping at your place of employment Lorna, won't happen again. read more

This is by far the best TJ Maxx in the state. I was greeted by a young lady named Valissa and she asked what I was looking for. She brought me right to the shirts and insisted on helping. She was attentive and really wanted to help. She even helped me when I went to the dressing room, getting me different sizes if I needed them. I ended up spending $200 . I think she got in trouble by her supervisor for "helping". I believe more stores need a "Valissa". read more

Ever since this location opened in Statesville, I'm so excited to go when I come home to visit my parents! I'm a HUGE TJ Maxxinista, and of all the ones I've been to, this one is, by far, the nicest, cleanest, best stocked store-and the staff as never ceased to be efficient, friendly and helpful. In stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc. you can't always say the products are in good shape, nor are the stores, but this one is fantastic! I wish the lady's name who helped us at the jewelry counter was on the receipt so that I could give her props, but it isn't. :( Go there! It's the best one yet! read more

Unbelievably disrespectful and rude. I stopped by on my 1 hour lunch break to look around. I went over to look at the shoes, but a store employee was standing in front of my size talking to a friend of hers (I'm assuming by the conversation they were having). I said excuse me and she just looked at me like she didn't understand me, so I said it again.....nothing. No biggie I thought, I wasn't in need of any more shoes anyway, so I continued looking around the rest of the store. I found a couple of items and went to the checkout to pay. There were two registers open, so a girl opened the third register for me. I got to the counter and the register doesn't work. Instead of asking if I would move down to another register, she left me there and walked off leaving me standing there not knowing what to do. Another register opened and the girl looked right at me (after hearing that the register I was at was not working) and asked the next person in line to come up. This is not the first time that I have come into this store and encountered the lack of organization, efficiency, or just plain respect. If I could leave less than one star, I would. Get it together Statesville! read more

This is becoming a go to store for household items since I moved up here, it's easy to run in here for sheets/linens and small kitchen things so that I don't have to run down to Charlotte on the weekends after making that drive all week. I'm glad this store is here or else I would have to spend even more time on 77. read more
