Only comments I can made about staff are they did not know the address of this store, had no idea what "Yelp" is and seemed very concerned when I returned to the front of the store for a shopping cart. I am guessing that shoplifting may be a real problem for his location. But I do appreciate a store that takes the problem seriously because that means they are trying to keep prices down for those of us who don't shoplift. Check out was quick and the line moved well. A number of outbuildings front US 21 that are currently occupied by Goodwill, AutoZone, National Tire and First National Bank. The main plaza is anchored by Lowe's and Publix, There is also a tanning salon and an italian restaurant. The Hobby Lobby across the street is part of the plaza but the ALDI is not. I feel this location/store is rather small and that could add to the messy feel at times. Despite having to pick up misplaced items or sort through the hodgepodge (mostly in the clearance section), I love to shop at any TJ Maxx to save money on brand name items, especially clothing for my son and I and shoes for me! Saving money on brand name clothing is especially important when you have teenagers that insist on being trendy or "branded" as I call it. Please note the clothing is past/previous year so all teens may not go for this! This store has plenty of brand name clothing for men, women and children but only has shoes for women. However, this is standard for TJ Maxx. I feel this location doesn't have as many big brands like The North Face, Hilfiger or my personal favorite, Lucky Brand as other locations but that could be because those items don't sell as well in our small town. Bigger brand equal bigger price tag even here at TJ Maxx! This store has a good selection of luggage and purses, as well as home goods. I have often found good buys in the home goods section. It's kind of like going on a treasure hunt of sorts! Some people like to go to yard sales, flea markets or Goodwill but I prefer TJ Maxx for my bargain scores! TJ Maxx is a really great place to shop for gifts at Christmas, too! There's generally an entire area at the end of the women's clothing section specifically dedicated to inexpensive gifts. Yes, another score for me! I, also, like their specialty foods section, jewelry and pet section. I found dried persimmons a couple years ago and now my Dad is hooked on them. I see/purchase 2-3 bags during the Christmas season. Not sure if it's a seasonal item or not. I have purchased numerous watches and jewelry pieces from TJ Maxx over the years! If I don't find what I'm looking for here, I just go to a larger one in a surrounding town. Do yourself a favor and go on a treasure hunt in this TJ Maxx today! Store was clean and well organized. Having visited a location in Winston Salem, this store was far better on all accounts! Location is convenient and there is plenty of other stores close by. I found lots of broken items, mainly glass/ceramic items. Just be careful. They had a bunch of cookie cutters, and I bought all of them. They were marked as .50 cents each but she gave them to me for a quarter each since I bought them all without my asking. I heard her offer the customer in front of me free popcorn too, so I'm not sure if that's a thing? Seems cool!
