Shopping in Houston, Texas…read more.. It's not easy to guess what kind of store this is by its name. I would have never gone inside if I wasn't told about Five Below! Thanks to my Yelp friend, Jean L., who told me that this store has great deals for $5 or less! Really! I got a boogie board for just five bucks! There were other interesting items like headphones, books, clothing, home furnishings, and pet toys. If you are from Hawaii (like I am), and you go on a mainland vacation, check out Five Below!

Review Title: Denied Refund for Defective Items and No Clear Resolution…read more On September 29, 2024, at the Five Below location at 11043 Westheimer Rd in Houston, TX, I attempted to return three defective headphones with a valid receipt. The items were not functioning properly, but the return was denied by staff without a clear explanation. While still in the store, I contacted customer service, but the issue was not resolved. Instead of being handled in a straightforward way, the situation escalated, and I left without a refund despite having proof of purchase. This was especially frustrating because I've had to return items from this store before due to them breaking or not working as expected. Based on that experience, I made sure to keep my receipt and follow the return process, which is why the denial in this situation was particularly concerning. I later contacted corporate to try to resolve the issue. Over time, I received $50 in digital gift cards, but this did not address the original problem--that a valid return was denied--or provide any written explanation of how that decision aligned with company policy. After multiple follow-ups, I still have not received a clear response or full resolution. My concern is not only the denied refund, but also the lack of transparency and accountability in how the situation was handled. This experience has made me hesitant to make future purchases. I hope the company will review this matter and provide a clear, documented resolution, as I am continuing to pursue appropriate channels to have this addressed.

Quite surprised that there isn't a review for this store yet...or I hadn't written one so far!…read more Been here plenty of times before and it's quite organized every time I go. Recently came during the holiday season to pick up a few items that I needed to finish my cooking- all at a discounted price. The aisles still had plenty of Christmas decorations to choose from despite it being Christmas eve-- and the aisles weren't trashed. Maybe they were but the employees had done a great job making sure the items were displayed neatly and available for purchase. Of course, typical dollar store that only has one land open for check out. If there is a line, I normally walk around and get my steps in while the line dwindles down a little. Nine times out of ten that works out in my favor to have a less wait time in line--and I find something else to buy too!

They used to have chocolate ensure ( the canned one which is like 10$ in Walmart ) which was only 3.99 in there plus frozen chicken wings which is like 8.99 in Walmart but was like 3.99 in there which is inconsistent and dissappoing and the line around 5 or 6 o clock it's expected but expect one cashier and a long ass line and to stand there for at least 15-20 minutes , at least the poor lady is working.

This is basically my neighborhood TJ Maxx, and I've shopped here on and off for years. To be…read morehonest, I think it has really gone downhill over the years, selection-wise and organization-wise. Nowadays, when I walk in, the sunglasses (a favorite purchase of mine) are nowhere to be found. I liked the sunglasses display when it was placed against the wall and it was easier to see the entire selection. Then, the sunglasses were moved to a vertical spinning display. And now, where exactly are the sunglasses?? Considering the fact I am also an accessories person, I found myself asking what's the deal with the wallet section? What happened to all the cool choices? Although I did like a couple of Anne Klein and Juicy Couture wallets, which I purchased recently, the other wallets were unremarkable and not on the level of past wallet options at this location. I do like the section with beauty items and soaps, but sometimes I've found the makeup is sometimes damaged by people who are eager to try the products. Clothing-wise, I think this location has been a disappointment lately, so I no longer care about looking for clothes here. So, what does that leave? The housewares section here is basic, but it is still possible to find something good - like picture frames, for example. And when you check out, sometimes the cashiers are really friendly and sometimes, you get a weird person with a subpar customer service disposition. I asked one cashier a question recently, and she answered. But she didn't answer my next question, and when I asked the same exact question again, she got an attitude. No Thank you! Improve this location, TJ Maxx folks, or I will be heading straight to Lazybrook/Timbergrove to visit the other TJ Maxx.
