The locker is placed right by the store entrance, so I don't have to walk far in to find it (unlike the Amazon locker next door, which you have to traverse through the cashier aisle to get to). And the locker uses live Bluetooth technology, so I can open the locker even seconds before stepping into the store. No fuss, no muss. Super streamlined. Love it! + Conveniently located near the 405. + Plenty of parking. + All that aside, this store sells a variety of goods: some groceries, school supplies, holiday decor, and party balloons. Non-likes: - Not as well-kept as other department stores. As in, not as brightly lit, aisles not kept as clean, and the feel of air not as fresh. Granted, it's a low budget store. read more

I really hope this place stays because there's always something cute simple and cheap to get here. I'm constantly going here for every occasion to get decor and I always find ingredients that I need for baking and I don't need a lot which is what I prefer. There's also good gifts for people you don't want to spend too much money on but it still is the thought that counts. read more

So apparently neither the closing staff the night before or the opening crew did a walkthrough of the aisles and saw these. Or just ignored them. I found a couple items I was looking for that I couldn't find at the location I normally visit, so that was a nice surprise. I bought 4 items and got a receipt. When I checked a receipt, the cashier charged me $5 plus tax .44 cents. so came back and told cashier, she said you used credit card so can not refund. you need to find one more thing. Before I pay, in front of customer just asked cashier I only bought 5 items and tax is $1.88? and cashier said yes. but I felt something wrong. so I got receipt and checked. I think cashier is scamming that charge extra and lot of people do not want to get a receipt that do not check detail but this cashier seems like taking advantage that customer do not check. I'm at the store now this moment. This is a huge store and only one register opened and there is at least over 10 people waiting in the line. This dollor tree in fountain Valley has the worst store manager I have ever encountered, I was a assistant manager for that store and never in my life have I ever had to deal with such a unprofessional,toxic,embarresing,degrading work inviorment. I was there for 4 years. When the current store manager ESTER FLORES​ took over the store that's when everything went sour. Every employee that worked at that store prior to ester taking over has all quit. I have never been "gaslighted" ! This store manager did this to myself and several other employees . This dollar tree has such a big selection and plenty of parking. I was able to find everything I was looking for and more. Jessica helped me at the register and the manager, Linda helped me find an etcher sketch. They were both so pleasant and professional. Antihistamines for $1, toothpaste (name brands), cold tablets, pepto bismal type tablets, this is a great place for office cold supplies. Found this little gem while eating lunch across the parking lot. Woohoo! I don't normally get excited about stores but it's a Dollar Tree and everything's a $1! What's not to love?? Also, unlike other stores, this one is well stocked, clean, and super organized. I walked in during my lunch hour and was able to quickly locate what I needed and also a few other things. For about $5, I had everything I needed which would have cost me almost double at Target or Wal-Mart. Hooray for savings! This Dollar Tree is tucked away in the shopping center. You'll find it adjacent to the Big Lots and near a small parking lot but you can easily park elsewhere and walk over. I'm sure I'll be back for other stuff I might need. read more

It's amazing all the things you can get with the power of the mighty dollar! I came here to get holiday gift bags (since everywhere else is $3 or more), and walked out with at least 32 other items ! Before you get all snotty and everything, keep in mind that the majority of these goods are simply closeout or overstock items - most are "name-brand" and are good quality. Dollar tree is like Costco in that they make their profit based on their ability to move sheer volumes of products, instead of a high profit margin. I picked up everything from kitchen mitts to holiday mugs to Disney puzzles to gift bags. I came across several items where I had to remind myself were still only a dollar, as I've seen the exact items at Target for a few dollars more! They open late (until 10pm) - not sure if thats normal or holiday hours, but if you want to avoid a crowd, go after 8pm, and you can have the store practically to yourself. Apparently you can't come here with kids.. We just left this store. Within the 20 min we were in there, there was three announcements.. 1. "Attention dollar tree shoppers. If you decide not to keep an item, please do not leave them in the aisles. Pleas bring them to the cashiers. Again, if you do not want an item please DO NOT put them laying around the aisles. 2. Not even a minute afterwards the first announcement.. "Attention parents! Please do not let your children run around and playing with the toys." Then repeats it i Vietnamese. 3. A few minutes after the second announcement.. " ATTENTION PARENTS. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW YOUR CHILDREN TO OLAY WITH MY MERCHANDISE. IF YOU CANNOT CONTROL YOUR CHILDREN WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TK ASK YOU TO LEAVE." I was paying while the third announcement was being said, and let me tell you. The amounts of jaws dropping from this aggressive, rude, demanding voice threatening to kick you out because you cannot "control" your children was shocking. I get it, it's frustrating when you see kids running around runnin a muck. But sometimes you can't "control" you children. Sometimes the child might have some type of disorder to where they can be out of control or an attention disorder. You don't know. All I know is that I won't be coming back here if I have children. I love coming here because there is such a variety of things you can buy-- and each item is $1! They have name-brand items as well. The way they make it $1 is by changing the quantity in a package. Everything is pretty neat and organized too. For the most part, employees are cool. One time though, two cashiers were just having a conversation to each other while one of them was ringing me up, which I thought was a bit rude. I have been shopping at this Dollar Tree store since 2014. They have a great selection of merchandise, food, and drinks for home and for my workplace. Today I went in to buy a dozen mylar balloons to decorate my workplace for $1 each plus tax. I paid a total of $12.96 for the beautiful balloons. This dollar tree is by far my favorite store. It's cleaner than other stores too. Yeah there can be a long line at times due to a single cashier and I see how people get so angry about it but they have to understand that it's not the employees fault for the most part. They're understaffed because the company refuses to hire more employees or simply because they refuse to give more hours. Some people just need to learn to relax! Plus, EVERY dollar tree they I have been to only has a single cashier at a time. The staff always tries their best to help. The employee opened a new register and we got in her line , first she says " I hope you have quarters cuz I need them" I said " no I am paying with a card" We finished the transition and I got an extra 20.00. She then says" you know I just opened my register and don't have money, I can give you 5s, next time tell me you are getting cash back" What the heck!?
