I took it over to Starbucks afterward and worked through a few pages, and it was exactly what I needed. What I love about Five Below is the variety. You can find a little bit of everything--headphones, toys, home décor, seasonal items, and even practical things like birthday cards, gift bags, wrapping paper, and bows. It's honestly a one-stop shop for a lot of everyday needs without spending a lot. The store is always stocked with fun and useful finds, and the prices make it easy to grab what you need (and a few extras) without breaking the bank. Definitely don't sleep on Five Below--worth checking out every time.

I've visited this Five Below location multiple times, but today's experience was disappointing…read more I brought my son in to use a birthday gift card--he was excited to pick out stuffed animals, so we took our time shopping. When we finally went to check out, the associate (a young man with his hair in twist or dreads) didn't greet us and immediately started scanning items without saying anything. My son is on the spectrum and likes to be involved, so he kept saying he wanted to scan the items himself. I asked the associate when they started scanning items for customers, and his response was short and not very friendly--he said it's "always been like that." His tone felt unwelcoming, especially given the situation. What made it more uncomfortable was that he stood very close, watching us as if we were going to steal something, even though there was no line. My son is very particular and likes to bag items himself for a sense of independence, and I wasn't going to interrupt that moment for him. To make things more confusing, once we left and got to the car, I noticed other customers going up to checkout--and he did not scan their items for them. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and unwelcoming. If you're going to have employees--especially younger staff--there should be better training on customer service, tone, and how to interact with families and children.

Surprisingly, this place in Fort Mill has become one of those places in the past few years. Of course, I have other favorite boutiques in Charlotte, but this boutique is closest to my home. For a Fort Mill boutique, it's surprisingly lofty and cosmopolitan. I love how the store is so spacious, with plenty of walking space...with mirrors everywhere, so you can almost try on things (accessories!) without having to go into the dressing room (though their dressing rooms are nice and spacious as well). Their apparel and accessories are largely bohemian...casual chic. It reminds me of Boem, one of my fave boutiques in Southpark...though Broadcloth is a tad cheaper. Overall, the many cute items in this store are very affordable...which makes it super-fun. More than anything, I LOVE the accessories here. I always find something unique that catches my eye...whether it's a hat, sandals, or jewelry. Honestly, I shop more online than anything nowadays, but if I feel the need to shop in person, I usually make my rounds here, along with their younger sister store, Page, in Baxter Village (just a mile down the road). ANYWAY, it's been awhile since I did a review on a store/boutique, so I felt the need to work one up for one of my current faves.
