Thomas G.

Very rare that I visit this side of town on the other side of McCormick Blvd, especially to visit a Dollar Tree being that there are others near were I reside and work. I stopped in to this location to purchase some eye drops and essentials that I am low on prior to visiting Valli Produce. Now, I have to say that out of majority of the Dollar Tree locations I visit, this one is well-stocked and the aisles are always clean. The exterior and interior set-up pretty much matches any one of the other locations scattered throughout the city. There is plenty of parking, even though the lot coincides with several other stores in Evanston Plaza. In admist of the coronavirus (COVID 19) outbreak with toilet paper being an essential that most customers were purchasing, I was surprised that this location had a stocked shelf of it. But that wasn't what I purchased, I ended up purchasing some white bread, cereal, tissue, air wick aerosol, motts apple juice, applesauce, and cinnamon sugar. Now, it always boggles my mind that Dollar Tree has food items like white bread. And I personally haven't purchased any loaves of bread that were defected in any way being that it is Dollar Tree of all places. Moreover, I am always intrigued by the coffee cups with either Star Wars graphics or cute quotes pertaining to ones cat. Little things like that I look forward to with every visit because it enlightens my mood in the moment by giving me a chuckle what ever quote it may be. In closing, I had a pleasant experience shopping at this Dollar Tree location and would gladly return if I visit this side of town again. Perks for me visiting this location is that I get to visit either the Goodwill, as well as Valli Produce if need be which sits within the plaza as well. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

This place has been around for several months now and I never see anyone in it. The workers there…read moreare all Korean, two older ladies that are really nice and this one younger Korean girl whose a lot more fluent in English (which is REALLY nice). They have organic lotions, shampoos, deodorants, bath salts, face cremes, foods (some you can find at whole foods, others not, and their selection is minor compared to the beauty products) beauty products for anti-aging and anti-acne. Also they have shapewear, natural hair dye (without all the icky chemicals), detergent (all natural), serums for your hair, spring water facial moisturizers...(Yeah I've been here a lot) I've bought a LOT of stuff here and if you're a member their discounts are major, especially during sales. Member price for a 12.99 set of microwavable/dishwasher safe bowls (which made great gifts) are 6 bucks. I think that's pretty amazing. They're pretty too. And they also have mineral makeup. They carry the brand Wholefood Nutrition...They have sunscreen, powders that prevent alzheimers, assist in diabetes, protect against free radicals, detox, provide natural energy etc... If you want to try any of the products you can, they have a million testers and you can even try out their toothpaste and mouthwash. The special mouthwash they have is crazy. If you use it you can see how much CRAP is actually in your mouth and you spit it out and BAM. It cleans you out so well and it's not all alcoholey. The weirdest but coolest stuff are these glasses of different kinds that you put water in and it's made in a way where it'll give you this positive energy if you drink it. So it's good for your body. They also have pendants and wands you carry with you that do the same thing with the positive energy (all asian stuff obviously) but it's expensive. If you look up about positive energized water and how the molecules look different (overseas in asia they discovered this) the positive energy is effective on a person. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but I'd like to think it's for real. AND IF YOU LIKE COFFEE they have plenty. My favorite is the pansy good tasting coffee (White Cappuccino) which comes in instant packets. I JUST bought a new package which has a ton of little packages in it, and I hope not to drink all of it today. It's truly a delicious drink... I don't know what else to say other than go look inside. I wish they got more business because I'm afraid they'll close down from lack of business and then I'll have to order online or find a salesperson haha.

I used to visit this store in Southern California and I'm so happy there's one in Illinois. I am…read moreaddicted to their ecomax cleaners. I recommend the all-in-one cleaner concentrate. You can use it for almost everything. Mix just a little with water and clean your floors, Windows, mirrors, bathtubs, dishes and it even takes tough stains out of your clothes. It's amazing! Highly recommend using these products!

"Grand Open Best Sale" should have warned me not to get my hopes up as I walked in through the…read moreentrance of this new indoor mall right next to the Niles Leaning Tower. For the past few weeks when I had lunch at Papa Chris across the street, I have kept an eye on this place and finally thought I'd give it a look. The sign on the street states the mall carries merchandise like jewelry, handbags, hats, caps and t-shirts. Though the place looks open for business, at this time (Nov. 29, 2008) only one place appeared open. It is a store selling imported jewelry, such as the tiny earrings and bracelets you'd find in a discount store. Another store looking like it's almost ready to open any day had a banner reading "Hip Hop Fashion". In the window display, a bunch of Barack Obama "Believe in Change" T-shirts, some in orange, some black, blue or in silver sequins looked like cheap fakes. Seeing the multiple cardboard boxes on the floor with the telltale narrow fonts mixed with Chinese lettering, I can tell these probably just got off the boat from China. Another store had an assortment of Disney bags and apparel, which also made me wonder about their authenticity. Since it was still closed, I did not get to examine them more closely. The other store that's open inside this mall is a wholesale-only section. A sign reading "Member Only" deters you from going any further. Bad grammar aside, it's a nice clean, converted warehouse space that probably runs almost a block long, full of storefronts waiting to be opened or leased. The floor tile is smooth and clean, the walls an inviting, warm pastel green color. You can almost imagine the cardboard smell from the cheap merchandise that will be sold here someday soon.
