We try to come once or twice a year now but when we lived in the area (a mile away), we'd go at least twice a week. Some things have changed over time but the essence of the store is still there - gobs of food and drink at often great prices, non-food items (all different kinds) at reasonable to excellent prices. We could buy cases of pop for literally a fraction of what you might pay elsewhere. You just kind of have to go in there and experience it for yourself. I have known a few of the workers, particularly Mark, for many years. He's long been a dedicated employee (if he's still there). You will find lots of food items past the expiration date but with very few exceptions I have found the quality inside to be just as though the expiration date was a long way off. Chips are one of those items. The savings are stark here compared to those in regular grocery stores if you don't mind taking a chance of consuming the item after the listed date. I never batted an eyelash. I don't know if they still have tax free Tuesdays or 77 cent Fridays but unless they have dramatically changed, this is truly a worthwhile store to go to for all bargains. The neighborhood has regretfully declined a bit in recent years and its crime elements are on the rise so if you can, try to patronize Continental during daylight hours (perhaps this is why it's a bit more challenging to find a parking spot in their lot during daytime). Hope to go back sometime in the near future. If you live out that way or are within a half hour drive, it's well worth the trip - last I checked.

OUTLET Low Cost Store Positive; super low cost on all items and they have some good finds. Negatives: long lines Let's be realistic, if you are paying $1 for shoes , $1 for shirts , you can't expect too much. It's almost like Goodwill except everything is New. The shelves are not completely stocked, but they don't need to be; the prices will get those people in and those lines will stay long. It's not free but it's definitely charitable prices. Well done

As im walking away from him he puts his hand in my face (the hand he used to put his pants down) waving saying Hi to me, I yelled at him No and he follows me as I went looking for a worker. I found a male worker and when I told him he followed me, I showed him who it was (he was pretending to be looking at cookies now) and he told me he couldn't do anything about it because the "man" had a mental illness. He said "He is Autistic, just ignore him. He's here with his mom". I responded "I Understand he's autistic, I have a son who is as well and I do my best to take care of him so we don't have any accidents. They should be watching him." He was no help and I felt extremely uncomfortable to continue to do my shopping, I just left my cart and left. I called the police to do a report but they didn't show up. I will be going to the police department to get a report for the lack of action from the store to do anything to even try to keep my kids and I safe, or other customers as well. I'm sure it's not the first time the "man" has done it. They get no consequences for their actions and they will continue to do it. Unfortunately Aldi has been added to the list of stores where Women can't to their shopping comfortably without being harassed. This is the "man" who showed his private and the woman who was with him.

It's that time of year for Yelpers: Thank You Thursday!…read more This year with the Coronavirus Challenge, I am especially thankful for my neighborhood Aldi.  (To be honest, I am always thankful for my neighborhood Aldi.  : )  For the most part, I think this Aldi has done a pretty good job during this time. They seemed to stay rather well stocked for the most part. (Maybe I just picked the best days to shop?!?)  At the start of the various restrictions, it did get a bit confusing as to where to get the shopping carts.  First, they were outside the door with an employee handing you a cart; then,  they were inside with an employee handing you a cart; it seemed like the next time the carts were inside and no one was there handing you the cart;  and then the carts were back outside in their usual spot and you needed to put the quarter in them again.  I have no idea where the carts will be next week when it is supposed to be another Lockdown situation. I guess I will find out soon enough.  Aside from the confusion of where to find the carts and whether I can bring tote bags in with me, it has been okay shopping here.  As I mentioned already, they seem to stay pretty well stocked and I usually find what I want to buy.  The cashiers are usually pretty friendly, even though I can't see their smiles nowadays. I don't dawdle very much in the store these days, so I only buy what I absolutely need.  No time for impulse shopping.  Saving $$--more than usual at Aldi Anyway, thanks Aldi for being my favorite grocery store! Happy Thanksgiving!

Did I mention Mexican staples like micheladas, churros and Horchata!? And yes that means tacos and similar eats are nearby. In fact, if you decide to walk-in hungry, makes sure to get a hand stamp (or maybe 2) to allow re-entry. You can find all the Mexican eats your stomach may desire inside, however the best eats are actually around the perimeter before you enter. More specifically nearby 43rd & Wood Street. Park on 43rd and take the hike to S-O-R. Trust me, you have to try the food along the way. And this way, after you've spent the day at the place you can even find lunch on your walk back to your car. From my experience, stalls start to close down around 1pm, target arriving early, perhaps between 10am and 1pm. Pro Tip: Bring a minimum of $50 in cash so you are prepared to shop & negotiate. Smaller bills recommended.

I brought a large reusable bag with me. U can also bring a cart. Happy shopping!!
