I want to be a gatekeeper but I won't. This Dollar Tree is clean and always have the goods. Now it is true that prices have gone up but every time I come here, I walk away with a steal. Every time, I come I find close-out on good makeup. On this last occasion I really scored big. Dollar Store still saves you money but I am alittle bit more discerning when buying items now. I run them through the internet to see the reviews before gambling on my 1.50. Yes on average most items purchased were 1.50. This last occasion: dog treats (made in USA), cleaning supplies, foil, makeup, body spray, body wipes, energy drinks and dog toys. Now don't run there and take all of the good stuff. read more

Terrible customer service. The youngest inexperienced Cahier. But lazy as well did not bag the stuff. This is the worst location that I have experienced. Then one of the ladies not the official manager has a mouth on her. She was busy stocking and copped this attitude on an error that occurred @ a near by dollar store. No one seemed to want to help. they have a hard time having enough people to check out. this is known. I don't expect much when I shop there. boxes blocking the aisle etc. however I expect some common sense. today I went it was busy. ok I'll deal with the line. No problem. I select the register that had the least customer and lowest products to ring out. should be a no brainer. 15 minutes later he just finished the customer he was ringing out when I arrived. super large amount of product to ring? nope. he screwed around with inflation 3 balloons during most of that time. by this time EVERYONE THAT WAS IN LIKE AT ALL THREE REGISTERS WERE CHECKED OUT AND SOME MORE FOR GOOD MESURE. well that was done smooth sailing now right? NOPE. another person wanted some balloons . so off he went again. this time joined by another associate. Both messing arroynd with the balloons. I expect some common sense in that the customer should be charged for the balloons and have another fill them so customers can be checked out and not penalized for standing behind someone that wanted a balloon. The second time the balloons were ordered the associate that was ringing out the third register was free. So at the minimum this order should have been addressed with some common sense. Instead of 2 people doing it. Again I understand that there will be times when ringing out will take a bit. Where you have to fight to get through blocked aisles ( or even go around) it is the nature of stores like this, however, it is so sad that not even the most common sense actions aren't done. I totally ignored this place for over a year.  I never even really noticed the Dollar Tree there in the strip mall with the Strack and Van Til - I just never thought about it.  JoAnn, Petsmart, Strack - all of those places totally dominate the strip mall and it seems like nothing else is there.   But let me tell you, folks - this Dollar Tree is amazing.  Yep, everything is $1.  Not like those lame "dollar" stores where everything is $1+.  Dollar Tree knows what's up and it's good merchandise at a great price.  I'm a teacher and they have a GREAT teacher section.  Ever want those word cards so you can post useful vocabulary around your room?  Get a 30 pack for $1.  Need to-do lists and other awesomely fun little note pads?  $1!  I also got these cute little baskets (thanks to my co-worker) to put markers in for each group of tables - great organization!  All for $1! There's also a ton of awesome seasonal stuff here - who doesn't like decorating for the holidays, especially if it's cheap?  Right now they have a lot of cute Halloween stuff to decorate your house and your yard.  I'm sure they'll have Christmas lights and the like, which is awesome, since everything will be $1.   Get yourself in here - seriously.  I can't believe I've totally ignored this store for so long.  They have a ton of knick-knack stuff that you know you want but just don't want to pay $5 for at Target.  I spent a total of $13 here and I got a ton of stuff for my classroom.  I will definitely be back for some awesome Halloween shopping.  YES! read more

This was my second time coming here and I must say that the last time I came here was good. I get a huge discount in some of my products that I bought. And I came where yesterday to buy our groceries for the whole month. I grab one cart before I started buying my groceries. They have a great selection. I can see that their products were organized well and it's not messy. Some of their inventory was full and some have already empty. I went first to the section of soap. I bought soap, shampoo, lotion, powder soap, downy and many more. Then I went to the section of dairy. I bought different packs of chocolate, candies and milk. I also bought cookies, chips, soda can, juices, bottled milk and many more. Lastly I went to the section of seafood's and fruits. I bought apple, grapes, orange, mango and strawberry. For the seafood's I just bought shrimp and fish. All in all, I bought everything that I need. read more

As far as Dollar Tree's go, this location is a magical mystery tour. This store is very clean, very well organized and to me seems a bit larger than other locations. I was able to find many cool party items here for a buck that I didn't see at other Dollar Trees in the 'burbs. This is definitely my new favorite location being right in my hood. It was an interesting experience to check out at a Dollar Tree and see four aisles open. Never in my life has seen such wonder! read more

I am such a bargain girl. I bought these incredible porcelain dishes here: gleaming white, no borders, prints or gaudy color, square shaped bowls and plates- one dollar each. Glass Wine glasses for red, white and champagne... ditto. None of that Made-in-China-99.9% lead crap either. Made in the U.S.A. I lie to my guests as they gobble up and say I bought them at Crate and Barrel. Yeah- like you wouldn't. I know your cheap and evil yelpster ways. I like to shop here but yesterday the female teller attempted to take extra money from me. I wasn't really paying attention as she rang up my items bc I was grabbing money from my purse, I automatically gave her 2 $20 dollar bills ( $40 ) thinking I had more than 20 items, i noticed she looked at the money and placed it inside the register, then I asked her the total , it was under $20. I've never been in a dollar store that is sooooo clean and organized. Many smell funny and are messy - but not on this location. And so many great deals. The food items are fresh too. Sometimes I hesitate to buy food at dollar stores but it's fresh here. I'm so happy to shop here and save money. read more

When a store sells only dollar items, it's difficult to leave the place without spending good amount of money. Definitely a deal that I'm ok with long lines and occasional unorganized items. This location has entrances/exits on both sides of the store. There's a parking lot and parking garage as well. read more

I like this location. Seemed pretty clean and fully stocked but it was near closing so that makes sense. Super annoyed with the guy with the glasses at the register who kept reminding the entire store every 5 min over the loud speaker that the store was closing. We get it. You want to go home. I work in retail. But understand, too, that this may be my only chance to get what I need for an affordable price. ATTENTION BARGAIN SHOPPERS! This is one of those dollar stores were everything actually IS only one dollar. There's no messing around here, I swear. That four-pack of Thomas the Train Pencils is going to cost exactly the SAME as that eight-pack of Thomas the Train Pencils. How much? One dollah!!! If you have a minute, I do suggest a hearty browse - I was on the prowl for a certain floor cleaner for MONTHS and could not find it anywhere. Lo and behold, the Dollar Tree delivered! You'll get just about any item at a dollar here and in any quantity of the same item. It is the best Dollar Tree store in the area with loads of food, party supplies, teaching supplies, batteries and gift bags. I live in the Avondale neighborhood so it's quite convenient to shop at and you can even shop with a credit card. Another awesome experience is derived from the fact that there are many registers open most of the time so you don't need to line up. This is a bargain shopper's paradise and you'll get a lot of what you need at prices that won't be find anywhere else. I do find the availability of parking awesome and don't need to walk long distances to get to my favorite convenience store. I won't be moving out of the neighborhood unless there's a serious natural disaster. I think I am addicted! read more

Love this place, pretty good selection of items. I got a ton of stuff and spent under $20 bucks--include plastic folding chopping boards, a spatula, batteries, bubble bath, napkins, and what seems like a gazillion other items. They even had a 12 pack of popcorn for $1! (too much popcorn for me though). This Dollar Tree location is HUGE and well stocked with an amazing array of everything you need and even more things you don't need but buy anyway! I love this store for party supplies, especially cheapo gift bags that look like you spent more. Since Halloween is just around the corner, I have been lucky getting some fun decorations here, too! The parking used to be much easier before Target overtook the place, however, it's worth a couple of laps around the lot to get to this $1 wonderland. read more

Okay, I've got to give this place some more love... they just added a frozen and dairy section. Seriously. Sure it is mostly filled with bad for you fried and frozen things, but sometimes that is the kind of stuff that cures a hangover, and right now I am grateful for my mini Red Baron pizzas! They have the same general selection as any Dollar Tree. This one seems a little cleaner than the other locations, but the staff is pretty rude. I get that they're underpaid (I've worked retail before) but the last time I was in the girl didn't greet me, didn't verbally give a total, didn't say thanks, just spent the ENTIRE time I was checking out chatting with a co worker. Organized, clean and they had plenty of registers open. Thank god for that, I've been there on a few separate occasions & there was only one register open and a hell of a line. It is always good to have a Dollar Tree close to home. I took my sister here with me once and she made a joke about the "hidden" aspect of the place. It is tucked away behind the Target underneath a parking garage. Glad I found it though! One of the few dollar stores that I have been to that stay true to form, and everything really is $1. Great for party supplies, household items, and a wide range of misc. things that you may or may not know you need/want. One star taken off due to the fact that the lines are long at times. I would also stay away from some of the refrigerated items.. I bought a package of shredded cheddar cheese one time and it didn't melt.. so buyer beware, I would stick with the non perishable items. read more

Everything about this store is horrible. I came in here with my daughter on Sunday 02/28 at around 4pm and was in the very long check out line and all I hear is two associates, inside the cubile/office area of theirs, cussing up a storm. They were complaining about the store and cursing real loud, everyone could hear them, my children could hear them and it was just very unprofessional of them. The store itself is very dirty. The check out area/cashier area is very dirty and dusty. The floors are dirty and unkempt. I've got mixed reviews about the Dollar Tree stores frozen and dairy sections. I live in Oklahoma and our store has only had these sections for less than one year. Though they seem to be doing well, I don't know about the quality and control of some of the brands they sell. I would think they all stock the same items, that you can buy the same brand of cheese in any of their stores that sell these foods, etc.. For example: I purchased a small tub of margarine spread and accidentally left it out on the counter for 2 weeks (got pushed behind the planter on counter) and it looked to not be spoiled and no moisture even pooled up on top of the margarine inside like other brands do. Of course, I tossed it. I think it was ''too processed'' and not as quality as other margarine products. I bought a 24-slices package of American cheese, then grilled some on bread in a pan on the stove top, and more another time in a convection oven as open-face sandwiches, but the cheese slices would not melt like other brands of American cheeses, and each slice kept it's original square shape (even the hand-torn pieces kept their torn shapes and would not melt - in fact, the bread top would even stick to the bottom it was so plastic like). Too-processed? I ate some and it was not very tasty. I got 'tummy troubles' after consumption so tossed the remainder. I purchased a bag of frozen TJ Farm shoestring fries and there was a quarter sized, 1/2" thick soft black almost hairy looking thing inside the bag. It looked like a giant raised mole off of a human, but who knows what the heck it was, yuck. Thinking it was perhaps a cooking buildup in the processing as I would assume the fries are partially cooked, or something like that in preparation. Yet I tossed that whole mess right into the trash because the ''mole'', as I called it, was too disgusting for me to overlook and keep the fries. Not gonna happen for me. Overall, I now have mixed feeling about all Dollar Tree's frozen and dairy sections and from now on will only purchase items like popsicle treats of a known brand, if really needed. I gave the frozen and dairy section a few tries and am just not feeling like I will keep shopping there for frozen and dairy foods. It is my opinion many of the products are too cheaply made. read more
