However, there are tables of boxes of different sizes and then in the same table there are open packages of items. Most boxes aren't marked with what's inside of them. The only way to find out is to take the boxes to a counter where staff will open them for you. I understand that people are careless and probably leave things a mess. But if this is the only way to see what's inside the box, why wouldn't they take the time to actually write what is inside of the box before you take it over? I walked past so many items that probably were great, but I really did not want to stand in line and wait for their staff to open up every box. The pricing leaves something to be desired as well. I understand that there are discounts according to the day, but you would go in on a Thursday and get the items for $.50, and on a Friday the exact same items are $12? Seriously? I know many people enjoy this kind of store but I can honestly say this is not for me.

When I was there there wasn't even anybody serving for about 7 minutes so the line ended up being about 12 people and I was about halfway through that line. Probably was standing there at least 25 minutes before I even started getting rung up. I might be exaggerating but then the same could be said about your boyfriend and his sausage size.

The rude assistant Mgr told me in the future to pay attention to the dates on the signs. Really how about you do your freakin job and take the signs down and get educated on customer service. I will shop elsewhere seeing ignorance and employees inability to do their job properly is the norm and putting the blame on the customer is what this asst Mgr thought was the proper protocol. Dollar General you need to hire qualified management members that understand what customer service means to your company not sub par ignorance.

Looked at the shoe selection and wasn't impressed with the prices. $9 for ballet flats is cheap but they're less overseas so I left with nothing. Loved the fact that they had self checkout , store was relatively neat and no interaction with the staff although I made eye contact with everyone.

For a moment, I thought this could be the new XS Cargo--a Canadian discount chain that closed down several years ago and I have longed for the return of. I was aware that many Amazon products that are returned get sold to liquidators, so I entered the store with expectations of pretty competitive pricing. What I found was a pretty broad collection of cheaper-quality products at, what seemed like retail or near-retail prices. In spite of signage assuring me otherwise, the discounts that I saw just quite didn't rationalize the purchase price for me. After all, some of these products may even be defective Amazon returns and the savings just weren't substantial enough to take that risk. While the products may indeed be acquired through a liquidation sale, or Amazon palette auction model, the price that consumers like me see doesn't quite reflect that. It feels like someone's making a handsome markup here.
