We came for wrapping paper as we realized we didn't have any, this is close, and its cheap. That said you get what you pay for, the cashier was fine. Neither mean nor friendly. Just going through the motions and at what I imagine Dollar Tree pays thats fine. When we got home I noticed some of the wrapping paper had tears and holes. We worked around it but just a heads up. read more

The website says they're open at 8am, but I was told to wait until 9am when I was there. The place is kinda dingy so I guess I can't be too surprised. read more

Went there hoping for a good experiene - shelves were stripped bare, no garbage bags, toilet paper, plastic wrap all the stuff you go to Dollar Tree for! To add insult to injury I tried to ask the cashier when they would be getting things in "NO English". Sorry, you are in the USA. Boycott this store. All the cashiers need is like 15 words in English, now they giving us NO ENGLISH?? FORGET IT. read more

HUGE Shout out to Brianna at the Dollar Tree location for being such an amazingly helpful employee. Give this woman a raise! I was looking for silk flowers to make a nice vase for my friend and she let me bring the vase in and helped me put together a really nice arrangement. She even brought flowers that had just arrived in a new shipment out of the back. Super friendly and great selection here. Recommend to anyone trying to have some fun shopping on a budget read more

The guy at the register walked away in the middle of ringing me up. All I was trying to buy was a water.

You can always find beautiful stuff for less $$$ Birthday Ballons and cards are always great due to the variety also paper stuff is $1 read more

Very rude skinny older lady that works the register was very unpleasant last Sunday. Had a huge attitude towards me. I needed some balloons for my daughters bday that were already blown up and I didn't want to bring them in line since I already I had a bunch of items (there would be no room for me to be in line with them since I needed about 9. Right when I was about to check out I told her nicely I also wanted 9 balloons. And she said rudely "you're going to have to wait." And I replied nicely "no, I want the ones already blown up." And she looked at me and said "well go get them" and I asked "oh, I can't just grab them after you ring everything up?" And she rudely replied "no I need the codes" I didn't understand that she needed the "number codes" to type it in to check out. I was just going to grab the balloons after I bought them so I wouldn't have to make anyone feel uncomfortable in line hitting them with the balloons accidentally. Smh. -I know she works at dollar tree and not some "high end store" but, wow was it that necessary to be so rude for no apparent reason? read more

Brand new Dollar Tree! Walked in looking for a few specific items and the lady showed me exactly where they were. Easy to see from the street (US 183 access road). And, bonus points during a Texas summer, a fair amount of shady or semi shady parking. (I had my dog in the car so I happened to notice this.) read more

One of the larger sized stores so great variety and lots of stock. Like other Dollar Stores great place to pickup inexpensive party decor, either for special occasion (e.g., birthday) or seasonal (e.g., Valentines day). TP, foil, cleaning products, air freshener, office supplies, fake flowers, makeup....all check. And so so so much more. No matter if I go in for one thing or five, I never manage to leave without spending at least 30 bucks. Then, to no avail, arrive home, unpack my goodies and think "what the freak? Why did I need a book written by Melissa Rivers?" Duh, because it was there and it "was only a a dollar" - that's why! #ShamelessShopper read more

I can always find some good deals, and almost always what I am looking for, for less. And decent quality goods. Feeling crafty? Want to decorate for a holiday..go here. The other dollar store chains (like Family Dollar, the worst) don't compare. Also, I appreciate the hustle they make to keep the shelves stocked and keep the lines moving. read more

Horrible service ever. The lady in blonde curly hair told us to keep our kid in the cart because they keep touching the merchandise, and while we try to checkout she try to kick us out of the store as fast as she could. I love Dollar Tree! Overall the store was clean (I've been in worse stores), and the cashier was very nice. The only reason for giving 3 stars was because of lots of boxes in the aisles. The location is convenient and I will likely return. read more

Arrived around 10:20am (store hours show they open at 9am) but the doors were locked. A sign taped to the door stated they were closed in the morning for inventory and would reopen once completed. Why wouldn't inventory be completed OUTSIDE of business hours?? Doesn't make sense and poses an inconvenience to customers. read more

This store is just a basic dollar tree, it's nothing different from what you'd expect. But I was made very uncomfortable by an older female employee with curly blonde hair. She was rather rude with another Asian customer, she got VERY easily frustrated and it was very unprofessional. I am asian as well but I didn't receive as much backlash because my English is perfect. I don't understand why a language barrier makes some people so upset and frustrated, the other lady spoke English just fine she just needed some help with balloons and was confused. She was just filled with negative energy. I hope this review helps prompt management to address this behavior and for customers to be prepared to interact with this employee. read more

Great selection and much cleaner than some of the other Dollar Tree stores I have been to.

Can't really see her face but she was super rude a black older male was in front of us and she was so disrespectful to him and was treating him like he was stupid he was upset but really didn't care after a min or so of her holding him there I don't think I'd be coming back to this shit hole it was dirty and workers were rude.... read more

Dollar Tree - A women who was a rude b**** - Discount Store Near Me - Austin, Texas

This is just a note to myself for next Christmas season (I am bookmarking myself also). Self, don't go anywhere else to get wrapping paper, tissue paper, cookie tins (ten tons of tins!), tape, tags, ribbons, boxes and bags! And strumflingers, whodizzles and flatflyers and frags! Sorry, I slipped into Seuss speak there. AnyWho, everything is here and it's a buck. Which means NO dickering at the checkout about sales like Hobby Lobby (which almost made me go postal waiting with my ONE frame, while the lady in front of me had 371 little baggies of beads and "I know these are 21 cents! check the add! Get the manager!"). The girl at the checkout mentioned that someone had bought $90 worth of stuff there yesterday. 90 items! That'll be me next year and I'll have 300 times the wrapping essentials that I bought at Hobby Lobby!! Buahahahahahahaha...ha...ha...ha. Ahem. Sorry, just a little holiday shopping hysteria. Baby J, help me get through your birthday! read more

Two words: Pregnancy Test. They have pregnancy tests at the checkout where they keep their gum and lighters. This is just too awesome. First, why would you choose to buy a pregnancy test at Dollar Tree? You can probably pee on a popsicle stick and it'll be just as accurate. Second, what's up with the placement of the test in the store? at the checkout, really? As if you were standing in line mindlessly looking at the assortment of gum, mints, etc, and then "omg! That's right I might be pregnant, lemme just go ahead and grab this test." WTF. If you so chose to get that test and it was positive, in a few years, you can bring your kid here to shop b/c I've seen parents who let their children pick out a few items here thus making the child feel empowered without spending too much. I think that's a pretty neat idea b/c they have tons of little knick knacks and toys. Pet toys are a good deal too. Basically anything for destructive lil monsters that will be ruined within 3 days you should get here. read more

This DT is better than most of the others around town. They seem to be the first to put out seasonal items - which is great for crafters or people who like to plan ahead. I have also noticed that the staff is top notch at this location. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Proof that not all DTs are created equal. read more

If you need to pick up something quick and are not in the mood to deal with the bigger stores such as "Wally World," this is the store for you. They have balloons if you need them for birthdays and special occasions. They have kitchen knick knacks, cleaning supplies (though some of the name brands seem to be sold in a smaller container variety) and there is a section of birthday cards. Toys and books are also sold here. There is a snack and soda isle as well if that is your kind of thing. They sale paper plates, cups and napkins. I even notice that this one now sales frozen food items in the back. There are some office supplies and beauty products, soaps, detergents, lotions. And the best part is that everything is only a dollar! I like to come here first during the holiday season to buy decorations for my home and office for a fraction of the price that I would pay somewhere else. You can sometimes find nice small gifts to put on shelves, etc here. I like this store. I find it to be clean when I visit, which is not always the case when I have visited others. Not much clutter in the isle or items out of place. It's nice and neat and I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I visit here weekly and will continue to do so. It's always a pleasant visit when I do. read more

What's not to love about Dollar Tree? Usually, when I need my staples and weekly provisions, that's the first place I head to. I furnished my apartment with plates, glasses, bowls, stainless steel flatware, coffee mugs, etc. And I always get my boys some dog treats here. You can't beat it! Not to mention the off-brand Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereals, soups, cookies, and all the wonderful pastas and sauces. I've bought books, envelopes. It's been a while since I smoked weed, but if I did, and I know I'll be tested, I can get the test right there for a buck! Think you're pregnant? Pregnancy tests, right there amongst the other impulse buys at the front register--and guess how much? That's right--only a buck! I stopped buying expensive sunglasses 20 years ago after losing $159 Serengetis. I then shifted to the $10 Wal-Marts or Targets. BUT, with the discovery of Dollar Tree, I now buy my semi-disposable $1 shades 5 at a time! I could go on... So, there ya have it--a frugal paradise, with some of the most unlikely selections, all for a buck! See ya there! read more

I was in this store(store# 3211) in Austin, TX last night . unfortunately the sales associate: jonni cashier# 21350156 was talking negative words about my country and said" be careful, you live in TEXAS and nobody likes you and your original country. I said" I'm american right now, my family and I are US citizen, but he still was talking about political tings and I found he hates my country and I, he is a real racist. It was our favorite store. One of the things I love about the Dollar Tree is that they sell everything for $1. Which makes keeping track of your spending very easy. The items tend to be of decent quality because they're usually items that would be near the $1-5 dollar value in other stores. So you don't end up buying stuff that's been made much more cheaply than it should be. It's a great place to take a kid and give them $5 to spend. read more

I used to love this dollar tree. Haven't been to this one in a while. I was surprised when I walked in.. every isle had a mix of things thrown in bins.. the carpets where full of debris. I could not find anything.. I saw the workers just throwing things around, literally. Nothing, I mean nothing was in order. Every isle was disorganized. I was very confused. I'm not the kind to write poor reviews, in fact it's quite the contrary. However today I need to share about the experience I had at the dollar tree on 183. Although you can't beat the prices, the customer service from one particular attendant, Laura, was absolutely atrocious. As we approached the check out lines, there was one aisle available with a light on above the register, indicating it was open. We waited for several minutes, assuming that an attendant was somewhere in the store soon to return. Another customer noticed us waiting and asked her attendant, Laura, if we were going to be assisted. Attendant Laura remarked, "They need to move their stuff and come get checked out over here." The customer responded, "but the light is on!". Laura remarked back snidely "they can stand there all day if they want to but nobody is coming". I interjected "excuse me but I don't think that is a very kind thing to say." She replied, "yeah I get it, I'm sorry, I can move your stuff for you if you wait there" She then proceeded to try and take our basket away as we were loading items back from the scanning area and into our basket. I stated kindly and firmly, "no thank you, I would appreciate help from somebody else". She rolled her eyes and stepped away. The sweet girl who helped us, Jasmine, did a wonderful job handling the ruffled situation and was very kind and professional. As a member of the lgbt community it's always a concern of persecution, and I sure hope Laura was just having an off day and evaluates her unkind actions. read more

A solid reliable place that has some of what you need. I like the Parmer location better because they stock that automatic dishwashing liquid, which works better than anything else in my dishwasher, but this store doesn't. What's not to like about them?!?! 1. Everything's a dollar! 2. Everything's a dollar! 3. Everything's a dollar! I spent countless dollars at the store. I buy items for my RV, for my house, workbooks for my children, colors, cheap toys, glow-in-the-dark sticks, gift bags, toothbrushes, seasonal plates and birthday helium balloons! My success rate with most things for the dollar store is high but stay away from the pop-up lights. They were a big fail! Now they have a frozen section and we've tried a few things and the kids love them. We even found the same ice cream bars sold for $1 at the grocery store for $5. What a steal! I love dollar tree! Especially because of all the things I can get for a buck! But this location has so many empty shelves..

Decent place to find odds and ends you may need. However, never fails every time i go theres always one cashier. The line backs up into the aisle. While the other cashier is "putting" things back on the shelf. Finally they come to open another register. Last time i was there it was super hot. I visited this store with my son and his friend today 6/7/2017. My son and his friend went in maybe 30 seconds before me..when I walked in I heard the manager talking rudely to my son's friend I continued to look for what I needed as other than the garbage customer service I love the store. I gave my son the card and told him to go to the counter and I would be on and before I could make it to him I hear the associate yelling at him saying, " you've got 10 minutes to get what you need and get out."I came around the isle and asked why was she rushing my son and he was in the store with me...she tells me he was being rude with her manager and I'm l told her she was lying because I walked in 30 seconds after him....she said he had been in the store earlier...I told her that was a lie because he went to school and from there straight to work and had just recently got off..I felt so upset..like I was watching a movie that I would never want to be in..I began to raise my voice and told her she will not racially profile my son as he had done nothing wrong...and mind you she didn't say nothing to anyone else in the store or make a store announcement like the store is closing..only targeting my son and his friend..so the associate says, ohhh so you're trying to pull the race card...I say I'm just calling it what you're showing me..while all of this is happening there is this nice Caucasian lady in front of me and she speaks out to say why didn't you tell me I had 10 minutes I wasn't in line either so it is racial profiling young black men and I feel in comfortable..needless to say I am so discombobulated about the whole situation as I come from a multi cultural background and I always try to weed out racism as a not at all result....I called the store back around 9:30 pm and I advised her of who I was and she stated she was the manager..I asked her if I could have the corporate number to file a complaint in a calm tone..she began to yell and me and told me my son could not come back in the store because the day before he used the word B....h while checking out and he is disrespectful and then she goes on to say is that how you raised your son what is he going to be and he's not allowed back in this f..King store ..if he can curse at me ..I can curse at you...and she proceeded to say it again (curse)..I advised her as a manager she should no better and I would not speak to her as she was speaking to me and just provide me with the complaint number..she stated that they do not have one..I asked her was she refusing to give me the number as every store has this..she eventually gave me a number 9725968687 and hung up in my face...I called the number and it was a fax number..I will be doing research until I contact corporate and report her because this is unacceptable..my work background is customer service..I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone..just goes to show the people of this world still have a ways to go...my first bad experience since I've moved to Austin..praying for better days... read more
