Employees are very friendly at the door, they are counting visitors coming and leaving, so on a busier day, you may have to wait in a short line to get in (in the heat, no fun). Only gripe is that they have shut down one entrance, so everyone parks by the only usable entrance and that makes for some far away parking if you go when the store is really busy. I don't mind getting more steps in, but some days, you don't want to be far away from your vehicle... Anyway, good option for seasonal housewares, cute home decor, groceries and more. They have great produce, and you're not always limited to buying a bag full of an item, when you really only need 2. They have more variety and lots of name brands at better prices. I hadn't been in awhile and was shocked to see Land O Lakes cheese, Frito Lay Brand snacks, Coke products to name a few brands. You definitely save money here. Plus they have an app which has all the goodies and coupons. They have all the meat, cheeses, selection of refrigerated pastas (to name a few)that you would think it's a specialty. Oh and in another review I mentioned how mouth watering their bakery is. I'll definitely drive the extra mile to go to Lidl.

You can buy hummus on one side and turn around and buy a trampoline. The prices are decent so there's no issue there. It's just not what I remembered Lidl to be. The flow of the aisles were confusing, too. If I had to describe it, it's like a marketplace version of Costco. I do want to visit again during day hours because their bakery section looked like it would be great. Unfortunately, I visited around 7:30pm and most of the bakery items were gone.

We don't go grocery shopping often and tend to do one big trip once or twice a month. Having said that, most of the products here were either expiring within a few days or were already expired. I was looking at some cheese, I sometimes do the "manager's special" which means it's expiring soon. The cheese I picked up was completely molded. The produce section is a hit or miss. Nearly all of the bags of premade salads were expiring within a few days and the onions had fruit flies and bruising all over them. The soon-to-be expired food selection really makes grocery shopping for the month really difficult. On top of pricing, this is no longer the cheaper grocery store option in Wake Forest. The staff have always been lovely and oddly enough, I've made connections with quite a few people working in the checkout section. Unfortunately, due to high prices and nearly expired food every visit, I won't be coming back.

Also, the same treatment at the fitting rooms...very rigid about number of items, etc. I guess they have a huge theft problem? Anyway, it's an okay store. I don't go out of my way to visit here, just stop in if I'm over in that shopping area and have a few minutes. Definitely not worth making an extra trip.

The prices are good for most items and the aisles are easy to fit two carts down. Checking out can be an issue as there are just one of two cash registers open if you don't use self checkout. But with my bag from the pharmacy that sometimes causes issues in the self checkout so I will wait for a register. Service is friendly so just give yourself some time to checkout.

In all seriousness, Aldi will typically be the lowest price point even when factoring in Instacart (which is typically how I shop). Items packaged under Aldi's brand can be hit or miss. I've noticed some items (cilantro in particular) aren't as fresh/ don't last as long. All in all for the bulk of your groceries - Aldi remains the undisputed heavyweight winner in my opinion.
