So many freshly baked, tasty options, many things you won't find at other grocery stores. For example, they often have Polish treats like the sour cream cheese cake and Placek. They have tasty donuts, cakes, cookies and vanilla pastry hearts. The bakery staff is always kind and have a lot of attention to detail in their work. The fish fry is fantastic as well! Several different options (fried fish, baked fish, shrimp, breaded scallops and combo platters) You get a lot of food for the price and it is always crisp and not soggy. The rest of the store has an old school grocery store look and vibe to it without looking or feeling dingy or outdated. There are often lines for checkout because there just aren't that many registers, but overall, it is a great place for your dessert needs!

Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.

At one time this Tops location was referred to as an International Tops, due to its huge footprint at the edge of the old Seneca Mall site. Upon entering the store I was overwhelmed by the massive size of this grocery store and was intimidated, not knowing if I could physically traverse this space. Everything was displayed with the highest degree of convenience, selection, and attractiveness of the products. As with most Tops Friendly markets, there were employees throughout the store stocking shelves, and filling customer pick up orders. Ah yes, for about $22 a pie or so (they're large) you can order pies for your Thanksgiving and they'll notify you when to pick them up. There's always a long line for pick up so get there early! They have mixed berry and coconut creme pie which are my personal favorite but they also have cherry, raspberry, blueberry, apple, rhubarb, and you can find peach in the summer. There are a couple other flavors, I forget but they also have zucchini bread, carrot cake, pastries, cookies and muffins. Yes, they're delicious. Another reason I come to Bippert's is because I eat a lot of eggs and they carry organic local farm fresh eggs 3 dozen for $16.
