Cashiers are always friendly and during my most recent trip, almost all the registers were open even though I went during an off-peak time (1:30 on a Friday). The new safety precautions make checking out feel safe and easy, as they installed barriers at the checkouts, and floor signage to maintain social distancing. The other shoppers who were there at the same time as me were also respecting social distancing. Overall, this is still a great location and definitely one of the best, if not the best, Wegmans locations in the area!

I think it's bad business not to stand behind your products 100%! If I spend 8 or 9 bucks a pound for prepared food, it better not be old or tasteless. I couldn't tell by looking at the food that it was not fresh. I did not keep my receipt because I threw it out when I sat down to eat.

It's a cute little quaint store packed with goodies for teas, desserts, soups, spices, everything! If you're using a credit card - you need to spend 10$+, otherwise cash is the choice for under 10$. However not difficult to do if you treat yourself all the time with cookies made here with the cutest designs! This particular trip, I was getting some lavender for making lavender simple syrup. If this is not known, not all lavender plants are culinary lavender, Milly's sells culinary lavender! It smells so good and fresh. Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.

And then, part of the information is obscured. This was in the vitamin aisle, and the employee who I asked for help was busy shelf-stocking and made no secret of her annoyance with my questions. In quest of Vanilla Extract (something I've never bought before) I asked two different employees (after going over aisle 17/Baking Supplies with a fine-tooth comb) who had no idea what I was talking about. One insisted it was in the ice cream area! It's always something in that place. In the end, I wound up paying more than I should have but was fed up and just left. I love Trader Joe's and even though it's a relatively long drive, I will only go there from now on. Wegman's can go hang.

The corn sale started on Sunday. Stopped in and what do I find??? Five ratty, bicolored, older than my grand children, ears of corn. My feet did not fail me. I left. Ran again again today - corn addiction is some serious stuff - and the stuff of my dreams was available. Packaged some and went to do the self weigh. Guess what, not ONE FREAKING SCALE WORKED!!! NONE!!! I prefer to do this in advance however the self check out will need to work with me. Checked out the produce section - had no choice while looking for that elusive scale - and found that they had spaghetti squash marked as "organic butternut squash". I pity the poor fool who buys this with the intent of some lovely soup. This place is a joke. Construction in progress. Scissor jacks/high lifts, whatever they are called, all over the place. We stopped in October and had to get our pumpkins from here but also grabbed a couple of pies and some more produce to take home for dinner. They are very good at having a good selection of items each season and we usually get our corn from here. It tastes better somehow? Not sure but maybe it's the local touch! The staff here are always friendly and great which gives the whole farm a very warm vibe. There's always something here that we end up leaving with and it's a great little farm for a bunch of needs.
