    Shopping with my boy =)

I've only been in here a couple times since I moved nearby. They have a large variety of things. I have to say, I don't like the layout of the store. Some prices are a bit high & some are pretty decent. Their brand of chips are cheap & delicious !! Big bags too ! They were out of a lot of things , so I couldn't get the main thing I went for, but, idk whose fault that is, so I can't say anything about it. The employees were wearing masks & gloves, which I liked to see. But, they weren't very happy people, which is understandable, but they shouldn't show it. All in all, it's a good store & I will continue to go there. For those who may not have been here yet, it's like Aldi. You have to buy or bring your own bags & bag your own stuff. No biggie (They also have self checkouts)

Being from Asia, I frequent this store because it has many exotic fruits and vegetables (recaita, starfruit, papaya, etc) that are not readily available at some of the other grocery stores. When you first walk-in, you're walking into the produce section which is pretty substantial in size, displaying a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. The prices are, by far, much lower than most other stores so you always feel like you're getting a good deal. The meat section is on the smaller side. I like to buy organic grass-fed meat, so I was happy to find jumbo wild caught shrimp and grass-fed sirloin and flank steak. Oh, and one HUGE and very exciting find today: organic rosemary plants for only $1.79!!! They also had organic parsley, mint and cilantro plants. Recently, I bought organic seeds at another store for $3/pack and have yet to plant them, so I'm very happy with this find. Cashing out: there are many lanes, but it always seems to be very busy here with lines that are extremely long. The parking lot is huge, but it's not kept very well. Carts are everywhere, and people do not return them to a safer area. Instead they'd just leave it next to a car, in the middle of the parking lot. Overall, I don't really enjoy shopping at this store, because the lines are too long, parking lots are unkempt, and the store could probably use a little wash/mop. However, it does have the exotic fruits and veggies that other stores do not have, so I'll deal with the hassles once in a while so that I can get what I need - and I must say, finding the organic rosemary plant at $1.79 makes it all worth the hassles, and that's what keeps me coming back.

My wife and I frequent the Kenmore Price Rite and we love it. It's an affordable grocery store with a great selection. They have a real produce section, unlike Aldis, and it's a very nice looking store for a discount supermarket.

Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.

And then, part of the information is obscured. This was in the vitamin aisle, and the employee who I asked for help was busy shelf-stocking and made no secret of her annoyance with my questions. In quest of Vanilla Extract (something I've never bought before) I asked two different employees (after going over aisle 17/Baking Supplies with a fine-tooth comb) who had no idea what I was talking about. One insisted it was in the ice cream area! It's always something in that place. In the end, I wound up paying more than I should have but was fed up and just left. I love Trader Joe's and even though it's a relatively long drive, I will only go there from now on. Wegman's can go hang.

Cashiers are always friendly and during my most recent trip, almost all the registers were open even though I went during an off-peak time (1:30 on a Friday). The new safety precautions make checking out feel safe and easy, as they installed barriers at the checkouts, and floor signage to maintain social distancing. The other shoppers who were there at the same time as me were also respecting social distancing. Overall, this is still a great location and definitely one of the best, if not the best, Wegmans locations in the area!

I think it's bad business not to stand behind your products 100%! If I spend 8 or 9 bucks a pound for prepared food, it better not be old or tasteless. I tried to get a refund on some prepared egg rolls and rice that were bad enough to throw away and they would not even give me a credit, which surprised me. I couldn't tell by looking at the food that it was not fresh. I did not keep my receipt because I threw it out when I sat down to eat.

It's a decent sized market with all the usual staples. What really sets it apart for me is the upstairs space. I've hosted a couple of events here, and there's always been plenty of room and seating. It's never felt too loud, which is nice. I like that people can use the space however they want. When I go with friends, some order from the cafe, some grab baked goods, others just pick up a quick salad or something simple. It makes it easy for everyone to join in at whatever price point they can. Parking is usually good, though I've run into a couple times when the lot was full. Still, I'm glad they have a parking lot.
