May seem weird to be excited about a new Aldi's in the neighborhood but I was. Even weirder because it's now the 4th Aldi's within 5 miles from our house! Though we have found as with many other things, not all are equal. This store is obviously shiny and new but also has nice features like extra wide aisles. They also have self check outs which is new for Aldi's around here. The only negative was the grocery loading counter area in the front seemed to bit smaller than the other stores, not sure why. 2023-26

Williamsville Farmer's Market - The Village Greens offer really good eggs. I didn't buy the Elderberry Tonic, but now I wonder whether I should go back and get one.

True, not a lot is in season right now, but I couldn't find staples like cabbage, bell peppers, etc. I saw spinach, radishes, some summer squashes, asparagus, lettuce and beets. Everything mostly from just one seller. The strawberries definitely looked gorgeous at the stand where I bought a dozen eggs. This guy also had asparagus, leafy greens, garlic scapes, and honey. I noticed that the honey came from Fredonia, New York. Anyway, the last time I bought colorful eggs was at the North Tonawanda City Market. All of them were stinky bad. I felt scammed. This time I took a chance, still remembering my unfortunate purchase. I'm telling you, these eggs are super tasty. I'm an egg snob, so I know:). Some day, I'm definitely going back for more. What else did I see? There was coffee available and some snacks. Orso Nero Pizza Truck. 12 Flat Mushrooms. Flowers. Meat. Bagels. Wine. Anastasia's Bakery, and more 'artisan' kind of stuff I don't remember right now. The sourdough bread from The Heritage Kitchen At Plato Dale Farm, looked really good. I'm glad I purchased one of their loaves. It's made with whole wheat flour so it's a bit more dense, but the taste and overall product is decent. I just wonder whether any of the sourdough starters in my fridge are still usable. Baking bread takes time and care. It was money well spent. So, I brought home just bread and eggs, the perfect combination. A soft-boiled egg with toasted bread and butter for breakfast is one of the simple pleasures in this world.

The mix of vendors is pretty good, and the prices are fair too. I've been about 4 times this season and it seems that there are a few staple vendors every week and a few visiting vendors. The weekly vendors: - Lloyd's food truck - a coffee place selling bagged coffee and serving hot or iced coffee (the iced coffee is VERY good!) - three baked good places (a vegan bread/roll place, another bread place, and an cookie/treat place that has AMAZING trail mix cookies!). - Hanzillans sausage - their chicken Polish sausage is very tasty! - Amherst compost station - Williamsville CSA - a seafood stand - Becker farms wine There was also a guy playing a guitar and a few stands selling flowers, produce, and plants. This week there were stands selling cherries, berries, apples, herbs, onions, zucchini, kohlrabi, and other greens. Parking - there's a public parking lot adjacent to the market, but it's been full almost every time I've gone. Save time and park on Main street between Cayuga and the market (free). Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Half of our group (was a total of four of us) enjoyed their food. The restaurant was clean and bathroom smelled very pleasant. Pricing was fair for what was enjoyed. The focaccia bread was the star of the show for me. My guests enjoyed the shrimp scampi, but felt the portion was small and the salmon was delicious. I did taste a piece of the salmon and was jealous as I can confirm it was delicious...wonderfully seasoned and perfectly cooked. Con's: The other half of our party did not enjoy the food. Unfortunately, I was in that bunch. It was quite surprising as the menu is not robust at all; so our thought was that the items that ARE on the menu must be a delicious specialty. I had the pork chops with pasta and spinach. The pork chop was tough and the pasta was bland. The sauce that accompanied the meal was tasty and moved the overall meal from a 'no', to an 'ok'. Won't be back, but encourage you all to check them out as the other half of our table truly enjoyed their meals.

Pick your noodle, pick your sauce, pick your toppings. And the premixed offerings they put together are amazing. Pop up to the counter to place your order and the super friendly staff will bring it out as soon as it's available. Not a large space, but well decorated and lighted. I really enjoyed my experience.

To the Point:…read more Ordered $150 plus worth of product that was acknowledged but I never received. (Previously shopped at Watson's Chocolates, East Amherst,, Never had issues.....) Sadly disappointed at the customer service. I contacted the store for delivery specifics and I submitted an order online on the afternoon,12/16/25. I was informed by the (young sounding, likely high school age) employee that the orders usually ship 1-3 business days (according to the website US priority mail) but with the holiday may be up to 5 business days.....ok that will still work. I received an email shortly after I ordered online that the order was accepted and being processed. Card was charged on 12/17/25. Order was to have the items during the Christmas holiday. 12/27/25 No order arrived. I sent an email to address listed on website, inquiring about my order. STRIKE 1 12/30/25- NO response from mgt. STRIKE 2 12/30/25 called the store requesting to speak with a manager, request refused. Employee instructed me to send email to the address listed. I stated that had already had been done, had not received a reply, and requested again to speak with a manager, Denied. Employee stated and attempted to check store data base regarding order. Was told that they didn't have the access level to check deeper, Thus the reason to speak with a manager... No information, tracking regarding my order was accessed STRIKE 3 Was told it would be looked into and I would be notified via phone. I understand holiday is busy mail season, US Priority states 1-3 business days, 9 Business days later, no order arrived. Poor service and no confidence in any further order deliveries, based on my experience.
