Aldi has been described as a bit of a cult. I work at a store that sells groceries, and yet I have…read moremade a ritual of going once or twice a week to buy my staples, and all the things I probably don't need. Often times at the cart corral I'll pull out my designated quarter from its keychain keeper to find some kind soul has decided to pass it forward with a free cart. If you lock them in, you get your quarter back so technically they're all free, but this vibe of friendliness continues through the store. I've never encountered any rude customers or associates in the years I've been shopping here, which is more than I can say about other retailers. Traffic can sometimes get congested at the entrance during peak hours as shoppers peruse the produce section. Conveniently the sales items are parked on the endcap for easy perusal. The deals on them are always exceptional and end up in my cart. I tend to go through all the aisles, taking far too long in the aisle of shame. Can it really be considered a shame when you see the deals though? I've gotten affordable gym mats, cutting boards, limited buy snacks...everything my heart desires. Well, mostly. There are certain products that seem to sell through more quickly than others. I'm not sure if this is because it's located near a gym (some protein fanatic buying all the sardines mayhaps?) or if it is a supplier issue. There's a Tops across the street which remedies things easily enough if you're in a pinch, but there are alternatives at low prices that make it worth the risk. Many times I've checked Reddit to read a review on a product, whether substitution or a temporary find, and have been guided in the right direction. They also have a doubled quality guarantee where you can refund and replace your goods, which I did once without any problems. The associates genuinely seem to care (I found a wallet on the ground and the cashier put everything on hold to attempt to track the person down before they left the premises) and the lack of music allows me to focus without all the bells and whistles that'll in turn help you save a buck. The self serve is card only, and monitored by the cash accepting cashier. There's bags for sale if you've forgotten yours, or even empty boxes to fill. I'll be back next week, because what can I say? It hits Aldi right notes.

Listen, I'm just here to tell anyone looking for seeded watermelons (because they're nowhere to be…read morefound in the area) that Niagara Produce has both seeded and unseeded watermelons! Why does this matter? Well, over 90% of the watermelons in our great country are now unseeded and I don't know about you but I care that my fruits and vegetables are not genetically modified and I eat the entire watermelon because health benefits matter. You can and should eat the seeds of the watermelon, they're super duper good for you! You can also eat the rind (yes, you can). Or just save some seeds and grow them yourself. Scary to think so many of our foods are now seedless, this madness has to stop! I could say so much more on the subject but I'll stop now and just add... Niagara Produce is a great place to shop for your grocery needs, they have a great selection of produce, meats and even cheeses if you're looking for charcuterie board goodies. They also have a wonderfully huge greenhouse and selection of beautiful plants, just take a little stroll and enjoy the beauty. And, if you're not into that, go grab a slice of Just Pizza just because! Happy shopping!

It feels like a very upscale shopping experience with a hometown vibe. I went in for a few things and left with a full cart. I love the prices here as they are lower or competitive with other stores. They have a full deli and their produce has a lot of variety with some local products too. They have a lot of local products as well as what feels like things made in house. Super cool to support local here. They also have an ice cream shop and a Just Pizza location inside the store which is great especially if you go grocery shopping hungry which seems to happen to me quite often. All of the staff here were super nice and helped me get everything I needed. We will definitely be coming here more often for groceries now that we know how incredible this place is!

The chain is able to slash prices using minimal staff and foregoing the usual up selling techniques like end caps. Fruit is sold directly from the packing boxes it was shipped in. Self checkout prevails: This can be difficult for elders or for parents of wiggly children, but the money saved might make it worth the inconvenience. Lots of organic choices available (it is, after all, a chain based in Germany).

Berries usually look good until you get them home and realize 2/3 of the pack are rotten. I've taken them back but honestly, it's not usually worth the gas for an extra trip. Can usually find some great vegan items here in the "special find" section, but you have to grab them when you see them. Often I'll get them home, we'll try them a few days later- love them, but then go back to the store to get more and they're gone.

I saw it posted on Instagram with fantastic meat sales... today, porterhouse steaks are $3.99 per pound and look very fresh! They also had other meats at a very fair price. They carry a couple of items that were unexpected in my opinion, like sugar free ketchup and BBQ sauces and Kinder brand spice mixes. The cashier was quick and polite and as I was leaving, employees thanked me for shopping there and send to genuinely mean it I recommend you stop here at some point in your grocery travels!

That sadly sucked up a lot of my soup and I'm not a fan of soggy bread, so I scooped it out and set it aside. The soup I did get to eat had a good flavor and was not too salty. Now that I know how it comes, I'd order it without bread added. My salad was a good size and was made of fresh mixed greens with a nicely grilled, & warm, sliced chicken breast.

Not enough to warrant a five star review, mind you, but I…read moreactually need more than one hand to count how many times I've been in there now, and that's saying a lot, because when it comes to grocery shopping, I am a creature of habit. While they aren't the best with brand name low prices, with Walmart and Aldi right up the street, they excel at in store offerings. Their bakery has some great offerings (there is a small cult following of their donuts in my circle) and I've heard they have better quality meat offerings compared to their competitors in town. There's a tempting case of to go meal choices by the deli, including sushi and fish fry. If you're looking for the basics, they do hold some pretty good sales if you take the time to look for them. They're my go to place in the colder months with rock bottom prices on apples and squash while it's in season, and they've held a few bogos that make me swing by the store to stock up. They've got a bottle room for returns, with recycling bins for the pesky non-redeemable plastics that get mixed in. They've got a large parking lot so you don't have to fight for a spot. And there's a coupon kiosk where you can print off savings. You can even load coupons to your store account (as simple as typing in a phone number) to earn points towards free stuff. Because who doesn't like free donuts? This isn't my go to place, but has become a going to place, one worth checking into.

We stopped in October and had to get our pumpkins from here but also grabbed a couple of pies and some more produce to take home for dinner. They are very good at having a good selection of items each season and we usually get our corn from here. It tastes better somehow? Not sure but maybe it's the local touch! The staff here are always friendly and great which gives the whole farm a very warm vibe. There's always something here that we end up leaving with and it's a great little farm for a bunch of needs.
