I feel like this store is small but mighty. They have all of the staples and some of the other perk items you might need. The meat and deli are usually fairly priced. The rest of the store is hit or miss, with some things marked way up and other things right where you'd expect them, occasionally a little cheaper. Sales are solid if you check out the flyer. The quality of the meat is the main draw here for me, it is the best spot locally for that. The staff are always nice and they keep the lines moving. I cook with a lot of weird ingredients, so I can't get everything here, but I do prioritize getting my meat and a few other things here. read more

Stop in after a race out at Lockport Elks, to benefit Veterans and Pawestic, this past Sunday. This location even though smaller, offered everything other two larger locations did. Similar pricing, few different items, only reason for 4 stars , not a lot of love plants like the other locations . Otherwise, perfect location for people in the community and surrounding area to get groceries. read more

Niagara Produce has everything; from plants to produce to meat, groceries and flowers. They even have bird houses, and pet toys and treats. While there, it was a Saturday and it was pretty busy. The produce looked fabulous and it was at a great price. I also bought a lot of meats to stock my freezer up for the impending winter. In addition to the food, I was on the hunt for a large pot to plant a recently acquired peace lily. I went into the garden shop, selected a grey planter and my mom promptly exclaimed that there was something gross on the planter. Turns out, it was my blood. My hands were bleeding due to the weather and washing my hands constantly and not putting lotion on. I went to the register and asked for a band aid and they gave me one right away. I will definitely be coming back here to get some more meats and cold cuts, and produce. Be careful about the items on the shelves like dry goods and condiments, as they are higher priced than a regular grocery store. I wouldn't go to Niagara Produce for staple items, just produce, meat and plants. read more

It took so long to write a review because I assumed I already had, just because of how much I enjoy going here. Their nursery and greenhouse is always amazing but it truly shines during fall. If you want to go and stock up on the usual autumn staples, they will have them and they will be decently priced. I always get a ton of ornamental kale and mums for the front of the house here each year and I rarely break $40. They also have a wide variety of succulents and indoor plants outside of seasonal stuff, which is what I purchased this time out. The grocery area is also amazing. Stocked almost entirely with locally sourced items, the selection is impressive and high quality (did you know there was such a thing as vegan Pierogi? Me either...until I went here). I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for and although the grocery items have a slight markup it's well worth it. The greenhouse items are a complete and total value, no qualifier read more

I don't usually make it all the way over to this location but when I am in the area, I try to make it a point to stop if I need anything. This location is much smaller and more intimate than the location on Transit, and this appeals to me when I am not in the mood for crowds. The prices here really cannot be beat for certain items. The ham off the bone is always $3.99 a pound, it has been that way for years. And it's Sahlens! The green bell peppers today were $.99 a pound, which as you know is significantly lower than chain stores in the area. The produce is fresh and has a long shelf life, and the meats are high quality. In my opinion, the real MVP here is the $.99 spice wall. If you have ever bought a container of spices you know it is ridiculous. The $.99 tag is out of this world and possibly their best kept secret, and they have a good variety. They also have a great variety of flowers and plants, at great prices that really brighten everything up. They take cash, cards, and are open until 7pm 7 days a week! Come check them out! read more

I ordered delivery from Niagara Produce on Chestnut. Small order including massively moldy strawberries, and only slightly moldy green beans and blueberries. So hard to explain to visiting relatives to whom I had praised the place. Dont get delivery un less you look first. read more

My wife shopped here on 5/20 and among the items purchased was seafood salad. We both ate it and, shockingly, we were cut by very sharp pieces of plastic. I notified the manager of that department who expressed disbelief but, after I sent her a pic of the pieces, came to the conclusion that it must have been a top that was broken while being placed on the container. She said she would make sure this wouldn't happen again but, I dont know how that's possible. What's almost as bad as being surprised by sharp pieces of plastic in your food is the poor customer service of not even offering to replace the tainted food. Customer service is horrible these days as you will barely get an apology for poor service, or food, let alone the willingness to compensate for a bad experience. This is a sure way to lose customers except if you are so busy you dont really care? read more

I love this store! I have noticed that much of their produce is much more affordable than other grocery stores. I was delighted to buy a carton of strawberries and not feel guilty for spending so much on berries! They carry an array of local products: meats, breads, desserts, etc. If you have your own grocery bags, bring them. They use brown bags with no handles and I find them difficult to carry. read more

This place is homologous to Price Rite that we have back in Boston. Definitely the cheapest prices around, however, not the best quality and a lot of the brands are knock off brands. I Wanna Be a Produce(r) I cant say enough about Niagara Produce! Its' just like an old fashioned market - not like Tops at all! There's a great meat market there, too where you can meet lots of nice people. Do you want cider? They have it! Do you want apples? They have them! Do you want a plants? They have them! Do you want car parts? No. What were you thinking? The people there are nice, even if you dont speak english to well mostly. And it's all fresh! Like real food! I am very upset with this place and won't go back. I spend on an average of $50.00 to $125.00 every other week and was checking out when the owner ( older man ) was there counting money and I handed him a request form for the Boy Scouts fundraiser. I was told by an employee that he threw it out. So I called a week later to see if they had looked at it and the woman said never got a request. So there you have it. Done with them. I ordered almost $300.00 in meat trays for a funeral and always get them there. Well thank you I found a new place and cheaper. read more

This is my go-to grocery store. I drop in a couple/few times a week for fresh produce and meats. It's nice for me because I don't live far away and can just buy whatever I'm having that night and don't need to freeze things. There is a kiosk - or whatever - with day-old or about-to-expire items that I get things from all the time: tomatoes, onions, hot peppers. They usually have a couple days left on them (realistically) so don't get them if you're not going to use them immediately. The folks in the deli are always incredibly patient because I almost never know what I want. They have a ton of spices for a buck a piece. Nice! I don't tend to buy canned goods or dry foods here, but it's nice that they're available if I need 'em in a pinch. My one complaint is that the "pick a number" thing for the deli should be INSIDE the deli instead of at the doorway headed into it. I see people walk by it all the time and then have to go back to get a number. read more

A combination of farm fresh and other produce. The farm fresh, local produce is very reasonable and inexpensive if bought in bulk. There is a sale stand that has close to expire produce and groceries for an awesome deal. If you use it soon then its worth it. The meat: The fresh cut meats and deli is the best deal you can find when compared to any other grocery store. But its not organic and not sure where it comes from. The Italian grocery is at great price too for the pastas, sauces, ladyfingers. If you cannot make it to lake effect icecream store then you can buy it here too. read more

Every year we go and buy our Christmas tree at the transit road location. This year, the tree died 2 weeks after we brought it home. We had the extra trunk cut and watered it everyday. I called and was told no refunds on cut trees. 75 dollars for a 2 week tree. Never again. read more

Usually no problems at this facility. Today, during the covid pandemic, the two cashiers both had their cloth masks only covering their mouths, exposing their noses. There is a sign at the door requiring masks for entrance to the store. As I was checking out, had my mask on and sanitizer wipes in my hand to you, the one cashier yells loudly that she is "so tired of wearing this mask 8 hours an day" and "I am not going to do it any more!"Then she takes it off. I am a front line healthcare worker who has seen the devastation of this disease...I could be a carrier or she could be or anyone else in this establishment. This is very poor judgement on this woman's part and I am sure if these two women can not wear their masks appropriately there are others who would love to have a job and wear their masks. I feel very sorry for these women and for the owner of this facility as they are not providing adequately for their shoppers. read more

Niagara Produce use to be the best place to buy any produce, deli or meat items. Since they have started construction on their new "showplace" of a store their prices have been rising faster than prices for the same items in other stores in the area and sometimes I find the quality not what it once was on some items yet the prices are noticeably higher. I have been a customer there for well over a decade. I was truly disappointed when this began happening. It appears they are increasing their profit margins on virtually every item they sell just to pay for their new store. Until recently they have always had top quality produce, meats and deli at the best prices in the area. They built their reputation and customer base on this. With the economy in terrible shape and not showing signs of long term stability or getting better it appears our economy will continue to languish for the foreseeable future. Right now there are many, many people out of work that have always depended on their high quality and fair prices. I use to be one of them and in the past would always buy all of my produce, meat and deli there. Now I am finding the same prices, and sometimes better prices at other stores in the area. Where I would intentionally not buy anything they carried anywhere but there, I now buy what I need where I first see a fair price. many times it is now at Save-A-lot or Aldi, instead of Niagara Produce. I think they chose a poor time to build a new "showplace" store if they had to change their pricing structure and noticeably increase their profit margins just to pay for it! They are using the same "Wall St mentality" that caused the crash in 2008.
