As a foodie and a cook, I am SO excited to discover this store. They have a great variety of specialty ingredients - mustards, cheeses, way too many things to list. There is also a section for kitchen equipment, utensils, and knives. If you're looking for a new chef knife, add this place to your list. There is a whole section of colorful Le Creuset cookware to drool over. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the prepared food smells amazing (I didn't try any this time but will in the future). I sure wish there was one of these in the Syracuse area. This is like Wegman's dialed up to 11. So many interesting foods and beverages that you just won't find in Central New York. Plus, if you are into cooking, they have an incredible selection of tools. The best store to visit for anyone interested in eating and drinking. read more

Had one of the best fish fry lunches in a loooong time! Food was piping hot and fresh. The fillet was large and quite thick in comparison to other places I've been. Specialty cooking, baking, and food items is what you will find at Premier Gourmet on Maple Ave in Amherst. We purchased our Mocca Master drip coffee maker here and it's the best coffee maker we've ever owned. It is made in the Netherlands. Also found hazelnut & pistachio cream for the holiday macaroons we made. Also in the photo is pasta from Italy we're making for our New Years dinner. The deli has a great selection of Boars Head meats and a "cheese cave" with specialty cheeses from around the world. Everyone is so helpful at Premier Gourmet and they also support other local businesses by selling their specialty products here. I stopped in the other week because its neighbor was out of my beloved Blueberry Bounty mead, and I wanted to see what craft beers they carried. EBC Blueberry was not a surprise, but they even had EBC raspberry truffle. It wasn't until I came back a few weeks later with my boys that I explored more of the store. Baked goods. Specialty aiolis, balsamic vinegars, and olive oils. Jams and jellies. Honey, even honeycombs. Various pastas. Snacks. Cooking supplies. Kitschy home decor. Gourmet candy. So much candy. Boozy gummies from Sugarfina, Bailey's truffles, imported licorice, marzipan, and more. I trust Santa will be filling my stocking with plenty of goodies from here. read more

Been here before and saw different things that I've never seen before. Amazing whole coffee bean selection from around the world which I loved the most. Also great selection of high quality products such as kitchen items, alcohol, cheeses, foods, teas, and many more. Went here yesterday to check if they sell the cheese that I've been looking and as soon as I walk in the cheese section I saw it right away. Well organized and easy to find what you need. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable. Always very happy with the service. It's on the pricey side but worth the drive. read more

Calling all Foodies! Premier Gourmet is a speciality foods, beer, gourmet cookware and even has all your local Buffalo themed foods and gift items store! It's definitely my go to when I'm putting together a cheese and charcuterie board. They house rare imported cheeses and meats perfect for a delightful board! I've picked up my favorite cookware from here La Creuset as they have a wide variety. Luxardo Maraschino Cherries are always plentiful here and I get them for my Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. Every year I ask one of the beer experts for help in picking out a a gift for my brother-in-law whom loves his craft beer and they always come through with amazing choices of unique craft beer from all over the US. This store is for the foodie in you or a specialized gift for the foodie in your life! The store has a small cafe in it called The Kitchen in the left hand back corner of the store. There's plenty of tables for dining in. There's artisan flatbread pizza, salads, soups, gourmet sandwiches and desserts on the menu with a new edition of a fish fry. Not sure if the fish fry is a seasonal item or will be permanently on the menu, but, I highly recommend trying it! It's a beer-battered fried haddock filet that comes with delicious house-seasoned French fries, house-made pasta salad & coleslaw, rye bread, a lemon wedge, butter and tartar sauce. The dinner was huge and so good! The fish was fried perfectly, the salads had amazing flavors, and the fries were well seasoned and cooked just right! I pre-ordered on the Toast app and my order was waiting for me when I got there. I also ordered a piece of Baklava for dessert and that was out of this world too! I can't wait to try more items from The Kitchen in the future. read more

I love when I visit premier gourmet I see so many things that I have never seen before and I get to try out different things, on my trip today I bought two bags of holiday grog for my sister-in-law who lives in Chicago she loves this particular coffee so every year around the holidays I mail her a couple of bags for Christmas. They have so many different varieties of coffee, and also if you are premier member I believe it is when you accumulated 120 points you get $10 off of your coffee purchase and in my book that is a big plus, but today I did not get a chance to just walk around the aisles and look at everything I will do that on a future outing and also the customer service was great read more

I stopped here tonight, when I was in the area. The beer is pretty pricy but all good beer is. After a $20 gift card from a past birthday, my order was around $47. I bought $17 worth of Sausalito turkey. It has a bit of a kick to it and tastes great! I bought rye bread, which was near the deli. I bought olives stuffed with bleu cheese, which were right across from the deli. On the other side of the olives, near the sit down area, I found slices of cheesecake, cake, and other things. I bought myself a piece of the chocolate peanut butter cake. I also bought some fun beers. I bought one can of the mocha frappe milk stout, one can of the Cassian Sunset, a four pack of the Black Ops Barrel Aged Stout, and one can of the Sarah Cynthia Sylvia stout. (My name is Sarah. I "had to" try it. It tasted fantastic!!!) The staff were kind and considerate, especially the guy in the deli. We were joking about things. This place is really cool and I'm glad I stopped by here. read more

I like coming here for my olive oil. A great place for trying novelty things or things you just haven't tried before. They have a lot of cool gifts and tools to make things, for instance crème brûlée or all the ingredients for escargot. So many different flavorings for coffee, etc. Although a lot of their stuff is from around the globe I'd like seeing more of that snacks & chocolate wise. It's a pretty big open place you can get lost in for a while, they have a cafe with lots of fresh baked goods. Although I haven't seen the cafe open the times I've came yet, the red velvet cookies are delicious. read more

DON'T go there to have your knives sharpened, went back twice, first time they absolutely were not sharpened, I called the store, without any hesitation they said "bring them back, no charge." which I did to encounter Janet at the counter. She insisted they were sharpened but with a snotty, very unprofessional attitude "sharpened" the knives. Great wine and spirits but get your knives sharpened elsewhere! I worked in customer service for over 30 years and called the store to tell the manager about Janet's poor representation but never received a courtesy call back. read more

I needed black walnut bitters for the signature cocktail we're serving at our annual Oscar party this year. Thank you, Premier Gourmet for not making me order these online. AND, how nice to see they've repaired their search engine. No more weird results totally unrelated to what you're looking for. This place used to be a gold mine for craft beer. New brews all the time and well stocked. Ken and Ethan knew us by name, top notch service providing recommendations knowing the types of beer we enjoy. After finding out both are gone, the beer section is not the same. Looks like they haven't placed an order in months. Shelves are empty and you're lucky if an employee greets you. Not sure of what the plans are for the craft beer section of premier but save yourself a trip. Wegmans and Consumer Beverage have better selection. read more

Really wanted to love this place. Staff didn't know squat about their inventory. Searching up and down the aisles for a particular brand ; I could've done that myself. Website options don't match what store has. He was very nice but neither of the 2 staff members were familiar with their brands which is a shame as they have a lot to choose from. very disappointed in the response by Premier for their shipping error during the '24 holiday season. The 'surprise' gift basket was never received before Christmas and when following up with the intended recipient one month later (Jan), I found they never received it! Premier blamed FedEx and took no accountability. No apology! I was told they would ship another basket but they would not discount the new basket for the inconvenience, and I was actually 'getting 2 baskets for the price of one'! Unbelievable! Not even a coupon or discount on future purchases? I did reach out to Premier on their web contact link to express my disappointment since this was one employee's action and poor customer interaction. Crickets! No response. Be careful if you have them ship anything!! I love Premier Wines but don't think I'll buy from Gourmet again. I've also told friends and family about the poor customer service. read more

What a magical place! Any and everything you could desire when it comes to eating, this place has. An abundance of cheese, meat & deli varieties. Be prepared to spend at least and hour read more

The beer selection here makes me incredibly happy. And incredibly broke. Not because the prices are outrageous, but because I have expensive taste in beer and no self control and they have a huge selection. Really great place to find specialty food items. A whole wall of cookie cutters. Lots of specialty roasted coffee beans. The bakery items are always great. I had some cake the other day that had caramel and cheesecake pieces in it that was to die for. The only thing I was not impressed by were the sandwiches. The selections were mediocre, including the bread. You dont have french rolls? Not cool. Easy parking, convenient location next to a lot of other stores in the area. I always combine a trip here with a stop at Trader Joes. read more

If you like to cook or bake, or are a craft beer aficionado, Premier will have something for you. I always end up buying something I didn't even know I needed before shopping there! (Today it was hazelnut extract and maple tea bags) Their craft beer selection is huge, and most canned beers are available individually or in a multi pack. With the price of craft beer continuing to rise, it's a good idea to try a single can first! The Premier beer expert was extremely helpful, and steered me towards several just arrived New England IPAs for my husband to try. read more

A real gourmet shop, with a real cheese section, which unlike the other cheese sections of Buffalo, doesn't consider Valveeta as being a gourmet cheese. One of the few high end stores for all your culinary needs. Craft beers, coffee, cheeses and kitchenware selections are top notch. Premier was also one of the first to carry Boar's Head products In Buffalo and have a nice selection. Recent move to add D'Avolio Kitchen and eliminate the coffee area looks promising. I like this store because they have a lot of unique items for the kitchen and a ton of craft beer, MMMM my favorite. The kitchen supplies are expensive, plain and simple. Premier Gourmet is great for many things. Looking for a kitchen tool or gadget? They'll likely have it. Looking for coffee beans or to try a new ice cream, or other frozen or non-perishable goodies? Look here! Looking for beer from all over the world or from certain states? They'll likely have it! They also fill growlers and have a walk-in cooler as well. And I can't forget to mention samples- beer! Food! The staff is knowledgeable and if they aren't sure they'll get the answer from someone else, so don't hesitate to talk to anyone who works there. Turkey, brie, and bacon was all I had to see to know that I wanted to snarfle down The Parisian for lunch today. The sandwich was piping hot and gooey. Turkey and bacon were both very good quality and tasted great- I love fresh carved turkey. The bread though... It was a bit chewy and hard to bite through. Almost caused a couple of sandwich-on-wardrobe malfunctions. And though I love brie, I think this should be spread with something other than aioli. With the grease from the cheese and bacon, and probably butter on the bread, something needs to cut the oiliness. What about some fig jam? And top it with a handful of arugula as well? Now there's a sandwich I'd be even happier to eat! As The Parisian stands, I wouldn't order it again. It's simplicity was too oily. Minus one star. After perusing the dessert case, I set my sights on the Chocolate Raspberry Bar. HELLLLLLOOOOOOOOO NURSE! It was so fudgy and deluxe that it made the paper bag clear!!! Scandalous! But like 2 bites and I was done. It was so RICH it made Donald Trump look poor. A couple of complaints... I was hoping they'd have a bigger selection of drinks near the lunch counter. And the drinks they did have were mostly specialty sodas or things I've already tried. And they were expensive compared to Wegman's prices. Minus a half of a star. How about home-brewed unsweetened flavored iced tea and homemade lemonade on fountain? That's something I'd get behind. The girl at the sandwich counter seemed perturbed that I wanted to order food. Didn't greet me, never asked what I'd like. Just stood there looking annoyed until I said hello and that I'd like to order for lunch. Hmmm... I was literally one of like 10 people in the entire store, so what's the problem?? Minus another half-star. But one employee did ask me if I found everything I was looking for and complimented my sandals, so that was nice. Still disappointed to find this place deserted on a Tuesday at lunch-hour. Hope this was just an odd day and not a trend. read more

I drove by this place countless times and thought, "I should really stop in here one day." Now I'm kicking myself for not stopping sooner. Selection of beers and ciders is excellent. They haven't been stocking some of our usual products that we drive specifically here to buy. The Stirrings cocktail mixer section was virtually empty. My parents come here all the time as loyal customers and I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH HOW THEY WERE TREATED today by TERRI B. (-y?, idk because I'm that upset). I very rarely write reviews like this. My parents purchase coffee here all the time and have been coming here for the last almost 2 years. They always rave about this place and I needed a study break so I accompanied them. Products are great and they have a large variety of gourmet products. We were checking out with Teri today and never in my life have I seen a cashier be so rude. Not only was her tone of voice rude but, what she said as we were checking out did not rub well. My dad was waiting for the pin pad to register with the machine, and she asks debit or credit neutrally. He honestly did not hear her because her back was turned, so she turns around and goes "HHHELLLOOO" in the most impatient way possible. And then hands my mom her coupon booklet way in a very aggressive manner. I was bubbling with anger to be honest, but I didn't say anything. Towards the end of our purchase, I think she sensed my mom and I fuming.. tried to make small talk. My father replied but I didn't say a word. If you are going to be that rude at least apologize if you catch yourself. My dad said thank you and we left. I'm actually sitting in the car as my parents continue shopping to write this because I didn't want to forget. I'm not sure if we were mistreated because of what we were wearing (I admit, I looked subhumanoid in my sweats because I have been studying all day since 8am) or our ethnicity or if she was just having a bad day. Either way, it's not acceptable. There was no line either, maybe one or two people at the other register max. Management- I know your store and your products are better than the quality of service we received today. Please make sure that Terri and the rest of the staff are spoken to regarding this situation, I will be sure to bring it to management in person the next time I am in store. Terri- We all have bad days, I understand. But when you work in customer service, you do not lose your patience with a loyal, friendly customer who wants to purchase products from the store you are employed at. Apologize when you catch yourself being rude instead of trying to brush it under the rug. If you don't know what quality customer service looks like, please visit the Trader Joe's down the road. If that's not something you are capable of, maybe don't work in customer service. read more

Always has a fantastic selection of beer and wine! Staff is very knowledgeable regarding their products and can help you find anything.

There are a couple of good reasons to stop here. They've got a pretty decent beer selection. They have some nice speciality items, like Buffalo themed gifts, local candy, and higher end snacks and candies. Typically when I'm stopping in here it's when I'm looking for a gift. I used to come in for Blue Table truffles but that seems to be a thing of the past. They haven't carried those in quite some time. They do carry a ginger candy that my other half really likes, so that's another primary motivation for stopping in. You can also count on them for some nice coffee, for maple candies, and for marzipan fruit. Mostly the things you get here you can also get at Wegmans. But the selection is slightly different and it's nice to have other options. Overall it's definitely worth stopping in if you're having a party or need a cool gift. read more
