Later in the evening, my gf said the fridge smelled funny. By morning, the fridge smelled really bad of spoiled meat. I placed it in a plastic bag and attempted to return after leaving work early on Wednesday. (I had a doctor appointment Tuesday afternoon an hour away and couldn't complete the return.) The customer support person was very courteous and said she needed a manager and called for the woman in the office behind her. She, too, was courteous but paused to say she wanted to get approval from the meat department because it was over $20. Note she made a face when she opened the bag regarding the smell. (Purchase price $20.48). A woman and a man can up, and both smelled the product. Then the woman proceeded to tell me she would not complete the return because I didn't call the store the day I purchased it. Then, she went on a second defensive path to avoid a return. This involved telling me that the product smelled fine and was fine when I purchased it. Really??? Shortly thereafter, she identified herself as an owner. After a few minutes she offered a refund but only via store credit. I have never had an issue with buying any products in this store. However, I will NEVER shop at this store again. This is NOT how you treat your customers if you want to stay in business.

My late father in law was a store owner back in the 50s, 60s & early 70s and cut all his own meat. He worked at Bliss's as a meat cutter in the early 90s. I remember him talking about how great the quality of meat Bliss's had. So, now we drive there to get all of our meat each week! It is still good quality, fresh & affordable!

It was a $14 dollar difference to what I thought I was purchasing and I know it may not seem like a huge difference but it's a very misleading tactic to get people to spend more money than they intend to. She seemed to be in a conversation with a woman. I then heard a loud slam/bang as she said something derogatory and was banging something in her cart. She said "no you didn't" with so much vitriol behind it. And I think she was surprised I spoke to her so she sort of scurried away. I stood there and looked around in disbelief as truly I had smiled at her. Many employees were around and said nothing, just looked away or ignored me. I guess she didn't see it and she just didn't like the look of me? As a woman I must smile continuously? I had the sense she was really aggressive and looking to take out her problems on any woman customer she could. I doubt she would have felt that emboldened talking to a male customer that way. I have worked in food service and customer service and I understand it can be annoying or tiring but aiming it at regular people who don't deserve it isn't professional or kind. Anyway, she was a white middle aged woman with I think glasses, bangs, blond ish hair. Be careful folks and stay away from this Wegmans. I need to rethink Wegmans in general after this.

Wegmans. What's not to love?…read more Walked in before 7am and this place was already COOKIN. Bakery? On point. Local stuff? Plenty. Staff? Friendly, awake, and somehow happier than I was. They're out here rolling sushi, frying chicken, and making sandwiches like it's midday... meanwhile I'm still negotiating with my coffee. I went there a few days ago to do a bottle redemption; I had a bag full of 7 bottles, but only one bottle was accepted. The rest were rejected. And all the bottles I tried putting in the machines were brands carried by Wegmans (Brisk, Vitamin Water, Snapple, etc), plus they had 5¢ deposits marked on them. I tried feeding them into the machines, but I kept repeatedly getting error messages from the machines. Customer service did squat for me except give me 5¢ for the one bottle that was accepted. Come here for groceries, but go elsewhere for bottle redemption.
