Today I was shopping minding my own business when her and another associate (Amy) were standing around talking about a past employee..I didn't pay too much attention until I Heard them say the past employees name....this past employee is a good friend of mine, like family to me. I went up to them and said " excuse me but that is a friend of mine you are talking about and she is not here to defend herself. I think it is very unprofessional and slanderous to be talking about her like that...The manager took offense to my corrective action and told me to leave the store. I told her I would leave when I was done shopping. She was so angry that she called the Lowell police and told them I was a irate customer who refused to leave the store...They escorted me out...NEVER in my 68 years have I been treated like a criminal like this before..ALL for sticking up for a friend. I stumbled upon some really cool drinking glasses from Bulgaria! They were just fabulous! Quality glass with an upscale feel for just $1. I would have paid top dollar for the same glasses at Crate and Barrel. Let me tell you, they didn't look anything like a jelly jar! That was my big discovery! Yea! Yea! Everything in this store is neat and clean and organized. Some people will complain just for the sake of complaining. Don't kick a gift horse in the mouth. All you Northwest Indiana folks have a good thing going at your Dollar Tree, appreciate this store!

She was rude from the time she opened her mouth until I walked out WITHOUT my intended purchases. There were major delays in check out.
