It is a store with odds, ends, and all types of trinkets. All for $5 or under. The store is a step up from the cheapness of the dollar store, but all of their items still have the similar low end quality. I suppose the trinkets are good as stocking stuffers, hence why I come. Name brand items such as LOL products were found. I'm unsure how "real" the items are or if they are even worth it, but as long as the name is stamped somewhere my eldest will be happy. Yet, I digress. Clientele here are pushy and dramatic. Not where I want to be on my day off. It isn't the store's fault, as many associates were friendly enough. I only wish some cashiers knew what they were doing so that I could have gotten checked out in less than 10 minutes. Standing there as he attempted to work the phone or even scan my item was a little weird and time consuming. You definitely get what you pay for.

I recently retired and have more time on my hands and have been 'shopping the sale items' to save money and for fun. Since I now have time to go to other stores, I've noticed that Brookhaven's produce section is not the best. Lots of less than fresh items still for sale in their produce aisles as well as past due expiration dates on some of their dairy. Their prices are higher than other stores for many items, and many of the items shown on sale in the flyer on their own website, are not on sale when you get to the store. I would not recommend this store, and suggest if you do shop here to check the expiration dates and check your receipt to assure that you received the sale prices. Now that I'm paying more attention, I'm treating this store like a convenience store and not doing my full shopping here.

To buy the machine Peter interviewed us for several hours. It was personal for Peter who then sold us our first of many machines. After that day Peter and I became good friends. A few years later Johnny his son started to grow his espresso business and over all the years we have loved the machines they sell. Yes we bought a la Cora because Johnny designed and had it built and it is wonderful. We also have semi automatic espresso machines that have done well. If you want a BETTER espresso machine I suggest giving these people a try. Johnny's son Mark runs daily operations and we have known him since just about birth. The service department is run by Victor who does amazing repair and rebuild work. They also sell Italian restaurant equipment. Mark also roasts coffee in a custom way for his customers. It's not a store so if you want a better machine I suggest make an appointment. Yes a professional espresso machine costs more so consider accordingly.
