Bought a throw blanket at a different location. When i got home, i noticed the security clip was not removed. I kept the blanket in my car, just in case I was near a Marshalls to get it removed. A week later, This was the Marshalls I was near by after a work meeting. They refused to remove the security clip, no reason, maybe the ridiculous long checkout line they were trying to manage (I stood in that line for 20 minutes). Now, I have to go to the original Marshalls which is far away to get it removed. Not worth the buy, the time, the hassle. read more

Its not the biggest of the Marshall's but they are on top of the pandemic . As soon as you walk in they are already on it with cleaning carts for you and greeting at a good distance and kindly. The store is a regular Marshals up a smaller location from what I see. The plethora of items packed into small location is incredible when you can keep it so nest and tidy. I like that, meanwhile while I was writing this I tripped and fell. The young ladies came to make sure I was okay, good lawd my clumsy self never fails to embarrass myself so of course I need to post it here. Now had you seen my strugingto get up, I am almost certain I would of made your day! What I can say is that this was a pleasant a sant experience as it is the holidays and it should technically be jam packed, bit its already 12:15 and the line is small. From Chicago came out this way and stoped in. This location has some great finds... however after picking out 4 pairs of shoes and wasting almost 2 hours. I was trying to leave to check out. Sadly my entire cart was snatched by employees.. they said at 9:15 it's normal to take customers carts. No one would besides 1 employee out of hmmm 5 bored looking ones offered to look for it. Never found and this stores employees will snatch your cart within a minute, if it's 9:15 or later.. what in the world ewwwww read more

I have been shopping at Marshalls in Countryside for over 25 years. I have purchased many, many items for me, and my 3 children, especially when they were young. The store is not huge, but is stocked well. I have shopped at many Marshall stores throughout the years and this is my favorite. I have found very expensive purchases that were priced very well. Very good quality! I have had situatons when I needed a last minute gift, I very often found it at Marshalls in Countryside, even on Christmas Eve. The staff and management have always been pleasant and helpful. I cannot recommend this location enough. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. My boss, who's white, takes things back to Marshalls all the time. I tried to return a pair of shoes I bought yesterday and was told sorry they are worn. That is true! I wore then one day for about a 5 - 10 block walk and the heel is already fraying. Also, the reciept says refunds within 30 days, not refunds within 30 days, but not shoes! Went to store today to exchange jacketnfor merchandise credit . Sign in store says I had right to do so. Manager would not let me do it. She said it was her discretion . Even though another employee said I coukd exchange if I found same jacket . we found same jacket and manager did not let us exchange told me to call corporate ..been shopping here since probably 80s ..will never return..btw do not believe this sign ...when i asked ..she the mgr said it was her choice ..so customer was wrong in this case .... read more

I used to buy most of my clothes from Marshalls, but as of late, I am buying less and less from this store. It is super neat, organized, and has been given a much needed upgrade in decor as of late. They have a very large shoe collection that would have made Imelda Marcos jump for joy and rows upon endless rows of discount, brand name clothing that any fashionista would drool over. This is definitely my favorite Marshalls, but I have become less of a clothes horse and often just window shop my way through this store. You know what, yeah it's your run of the mill close-out & irregular clothes clothing store right? Today I was just clearing out the old receipts and junk from my wallet and I came across the receipt for this Marshall's I went shopping at for last minute clothes for my high school reunion later that night because I like the procrastinator I am decided to go to a Yelp movie screening the night before I had to leave for Chicago instead of taking any consideration into packing any clothes for my early morning trip. The truth is I had no decent clothes in my closet anyway and so I knew I would do some shopping in Chi-town (last minute shopping, cuz that's how I roll) for something decent to wear to the reunion. I started at the Target there on Lagrange road and was completely disgusted with the place. I dunno what the hell went wrong with this place but it was more like a dirty old run down K-mart with a Target sign hung out on the front of it. Concerned with time running out I call my Main-Gal Pal Patty W. and she heads me towards Marshall's. I got vague directions from her (She got me lost on my way to the reunion via her place later that evening) but still ended up at this Marshall's. Now I cannot express enough just how much I loathe shopping, especially for clothes which makes this all the sweeter. I had the most fabulous shopping experience of my life! And I can thank this Marshall's for it all. It wasn't a particularly neat, clean nor well organized store but they had everything I needed in all my sizes and all at ultra good prices. I bought more than I even needed because thay had such fabulous clothing! Distressed jeans by a top designer $30, I got the perfect (expletive!) timberland leather shoes that just made the whole outfit come together for $30. The most I spent on any one item was a kickass Columbia ultra-sweet black poly-something jacket that makes me look thinner than I really am $50! The store is a bit scattered but luckily I stumbled back further into the "Clearance" section. Hell I thought the whole store was on clearance already! I got the sweetest super score off the "C" rack.. An ultra super soft Avia zip up hoodie with uber-soft faux wool lining and slick lined sleeves for... $30! There's more to this store than just my experience of it though. There was a very kind and helpful lady that worked the dressing room and she seemed to be under a pile of clothes and very busy but still very professional and helpful. Also I am either cursed or blessed with picking the wrong checkout lines. I got in the oozy doozy of bad lines, and still turned down going to new lines in hopes that mine would resolve quicker, but no. The sweet young salesgirl was so very professional and kept her cool while helping a Woman with a very difficult return/exchange of some item that should have been handled at the CS counter but for some reason was not. While the people in front of me were so bent and going to other lines, I decided to stay since I was already this committed to my place in line. And I was so glad I stayed because I watched this young Woman taking on the stress and handling the whole situation with strength and courage. Finally when it was resolved and I got to step up I got to congratulate her on a job well done and I gave her some well earned praise in a way that helped her to smile and feel some relief from all the bad vibes from other bitchy customers. Besides I was so happy with my shopping experience nothing was going to ruin it for me and I just had to share that happy with someone else that really needed it more than I did. At 66 this was my first time in a Marshall's- daughter wanted to go here. Looked around and my impression is that its possibly 2 bars higher then a thrift store. In fact, I even rate a flea market higher. read more

I feel like this store is definitely losing what it once had. I feel like most departments look picked over, especially the juniors, purses, and any lingerie. What used to be large racks of dresses is now a few small racks. Housewares is pretty cluttered and disorganized looking. This store definitely looks like its on the outs. read more

OK selection. If you take your time and go through the racks you may find something great that's inexpensive. The store always seemed to be messy and unorganized, but lately, they've improved. Their shoe selection is nothing to rave about. Honestly, I only stop in here if I'm at the TJ Maxx next door. read more

Was shopping for a dress. Found several I liked - but the largest size they had was a 10. So one dress was available in size 10, another in size 8(there were 2) and another in 8 and 4. Should be called 'Small-sizes-only Marshalls'. Not sure why I bothered to come here. read more
