They tried to respond with opening additional registers but for the poor people who remained in the "ballon" line we ended up waiting longer than the people behind us! I feel there's got to be a more efficient way to handle larger volume of customers and maybe have a separate line for balloon customers so that people get checked out quicker.

The store is not hard to navigate either, but sometimes items can be hard to find, or online might say it is in stock when it isn't. Sometimes the meats section does seem a bit limited on precut meats, but we are not that picky usually. I do wish they did have a bigger variety of ethnic items. My main gripe is that sometimes the self checkout can get pretty backed up, mainly because the machines always error out and there is only one employee usually assigned to self checkout. I stopped in here early on a Saturday afternoon in Sept to get some drinks and a snack. At the time we stopped we had just been taking pictures throughout the Creeds area and were getting ready to travel further south into Knotts Island. So this was a perfect point to stock up, grab a snack and take a break out front under one of their covered picnic tables. The gas pumps were busy as was the small yet well stocked store. Social distancing was being observed and I noticed all of the employees and customers had masks on. I grabbed a bottle of water and a bottle of Mt. Dew, paid, and headed out front. The shade of the picnic table umbrella was nice. I observed from there that there's also a 2nd building on the property (not counting the storage unit facility) that appears to be a beer distributor. The words "Beer Shack" appear on the side. You can't miss it if you're in the lot. All in all a nice little break. We were there maybe 25-30 minutes cooling off before hitting the road again.
