Service was delightful, we came yesterday around 11:45 am but they sold out all their biscuits already.one of the servers remembered us and she was so sweet saying hi! This was one of the best service we have ever gotten here in the Outerbanks. Most is lukewarm but over here folks are greeting you from the very first step you go in. The guy who is ringing everyone up was very nice as well. Now let's talk about the biscuits. Biscuits so famous they start coming in hot at 5:30 am. Biscuits so famous that there's always a guaranteed line! Biscuits so famous they have a rather fascinating name accompanying it. It was great especially for breakfast we came back at 7:00 am determined to get some of those biscuits goodness and we got it piping hot and delicious. Prices are affordable and great selection. The hype is legit. These are great biscuits! We picked up to sandwiches, the fried chicken is fresh and the egg was made right in front of us. We also got a half dozen regular biscuits to go. They were the perfect mix of light and buttery and not too greasy. Next time we will try the blueberry and cheese biscuits and hash browns. Parking can be tricky, so be patient. Huge biscuits (get the cheese one) filled with as many toppings as you want make for a hearty breakfast/brunch. This kept us full for the entire beach day! I've heard about this place for years and today I finally got to go. I ordered the chicken, egg, and cheese biscuit with a hashbrown on the side and it was absolutely fantastic. The chicken was much different than I expected it to be but it was a welcome surprise. We've been hearing about this place for years and decided to finally and try it out. Not impressed at all. The staff doesn't seem to friendly in that I mean they all had scowls on their faces and it was like they just wanted us to hurry up and order. I got the sausage biscuit and my husband got the cheese biscuit with egg, cheese and bacon. The biscuits were so dry they crumbled apart. This is clearly the place to go for breakfast! We stopped in at 9 and the line wrapped around the whole store! As others have said, it's a gas station convenience store that sells hot food at the front. Expect your normal offerings- snacks, candy, drinks, etc. They also sell tons of merch, both with their store name and just OBX items, and, of course, adult content as their name states. They did use tiny decorations to edit the covers so children won't see anything inappropriate. The hot food items for breakfast are definitely fresh because everything sells fast! When you get to the front of the line they take your order- know what you want because they're moving fast! They make the food while you pay and you're out the door before you know what happened! They have typical breakfast sandwich offerings, like egg, cheese, sausage, bacon, and chicken, on different types of biscuits. They also have hash browns and other sides. I thought the sandwich was incredible! The biscuit was soft and not dry, the chicken was moist, and the egg and cheese were perfect. My friend said the sandwich was good. So - I was skeptical of course, but wow was I glad that I was wrong! This place has DELICIOUS biscuits. Because I'm picky about toppings and such, I just ordered the plain ones and a blueberry one. I also picked up some pecan pie and cheesecake squares - both of which were decadent and amazing. We usually do bagels when we hit the Outer Banks, but finding this place around the corner from our rental may have made this family converts for vacation breakfast! The food is better than anything you would get from one of the fast food places and twice as big for the same price! But we were in and out quickly, services is excellent. It attracts a lot of locals. There are shelves and shelves of souvenirs that are hilarious. So, fill your car up with gas and yourself up with biscuits. Ordering was quick and there was a glass display case where you could see the options. I opted for an egg and cheese biscuit on a cheddar biscuit. The biscuit was flaky, the egg was made from real egg, and everything was melted deliciously. Playing at the counter was easy enough. There are diner style tables around the bend and there seemed to be a fair number of regulars. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because the ordering process was a little confusing. Combos were offered, but there wasn't much clarity on what a combo meant. I had to order my drink à la cart at the counter and was hoping for a hash brown with the combo, but apparently I misunderstood it.
