All the major departments - produce, meat, seafood, dairy, were stocked almost to overflowing, with good regular and sale prices displayed prominently. The store is brightly lit and the aisles are wide. There are 2 self-checkouts. The employees here are really friendly and chatty. If it ever expands (and if it does well, it should be considered), add some more hot food stations and a salad bar.

I bought maple vanilla sheep yogurt and cheese (delicious!), Del ice cream (yum!), crackers and fresh fruit. The items were well priced and local. They also have a refrigerated area with nice looking pot pies and quiches. The shelves were well stocked with breads, jams and other sundries. Roxbury really needed a store like Good Grocer NY. I've always heard they have some decent stuff and some prices at ALDI are lower than regular markets. They do have a good variety of stuff, from name brand items to some generic stuff that seems to be a lot cheaper than other places. They also have a decent selection of snacks, fruits and vegetables, and also all types of breads and meats. We were able to load up on groceries that will last a few days and the total price was not too bad. I'm not sure if the prices are just lower here in Oneonta, but I can't wait to go back to an ALDI in so cal and hopefully find the same great deals and values.

The family who runs the store is so nice; just the shopping experience and friendly small talk make Cooperstown Natural Foods worth visiting. Beyond being friendly, they were willing to stock my favorite soymilk when I asked about it -- something other small stores have been hesitant to do. The store has everything from local salad greens to imported chocolates. The prices are the same as the big-box store down the street, making supporting this local business a no-brainer.

Behold the end-cap with the portioned fish fillets and steaks. One piece of ahi tuna begging me to take it home was snatched up along with a bag of steamed veggies from the produce section. Price Chopper places coupons on items with a next day sell date so I saved a $1 on the veggies. The tuna was very well priced, an 11 ounce steak for $6.02. In the end, I had a delicious and healthy meal for less than $8. #winning Our cashier was extremely friendly and provided some useful around town tips once he learned we were visiting from out of town. The store was well stocked and the bakery featured a large selection of prepackaged and fresh baked goods. Strawberry shortcakes were on sale for $4.99, that's a real NY bargain!
