The organization is a bit awkward, with various supplies (e.g., lawn, and garden, items) scattered throughout, and lengthy displays in divider aisles creating zig-zag paths. Apart from learning a good pattern to go through the store, the inventory is pretty good, and there were many employees active getting shelves ready for spring supplies. It was also convenient that I had received emails with electronic coupons earlier that morning. There's certain things I look for at an OSJL, and once I found those, I was quite satisfied. Everything was well stocked. As is typical here, there were some great deals, and some maybe not-so-competitive ones. Checking out was a breeze with a friendly cashier. While my favorite Job Lot is the one in Ballston, this one is now the one closest to me, given that the Albany store closed a few years ago and has not reopened elsewhere. It's definitely worth my time to shop here.

Many of the items are from local NY businesses, or from higher end brands. They had whole vanilla beans, cutting board oil and wax, chocolates, cookies, a Le Creuset section, and a very affordable knife section, as well as any kitchen gadget or spice anyone needs in a pinch. This is going to be my go to kitchen supply store since they have a great taste, and I would much rather support a local family owned business than Amazon.

Uncle Sam's Candy is ALWAYS on Point!…read more I have to give credit where credit is due. Uncle Sam's Candy stays on point when it comes to their products, quality, selection, and most importantly, their customer service. Their customer service is impeccable, and that means a lot to me. You can have a great product, but when you combine that with people who genuinely take care of their customers, that's what keeps folks coming back. Whenever I need some good treats for Valentine's Day, Christmas, Easter, birthdays, or really any holiday or special occasion, Uncle Sam's Candy is one of those places where I already know I'm going to go in and spend some money. From the chocolates and candies to all the different specialty treats, there's always something that catches your eye. And being a chef, I appreciate businesses that take pride in what they put out. Presentation matters. Quality matters. Consistency matters. And the experience you give your customers matters just as much as the product itself. I also believe in supporting businesses that continue to provide great products and great service. When people treat you right and consistently deliver, you show that appreciation by continuing to support them. So when it's time for me to grab something sweet for the family, put together a gift, celebrate a holiday, or just satisfy that sweet tooth, Uncle Sam's Candy gets some of my money every time. Great candy. Great selection. Impeccable customer service. That's how you keep customers coming back. Keep doing what y'all do! ‍

I always remembered that so I was hesitant about making a visit there. What I found recently was a busy store with a tendency to sell out of items quickly, especially eggs and specialty breads. It's every bit as big as the other ALDI stores in the region. It seems to carry some different items. For instance, there are free range eggs for $2.49 which I didn't see in the other locations. That alone makes it worth the visit. The ciabatta bread tends to sell out quickly. It also comes in an Asiago cheese coated version which I didn't see anywhere else. The store is clean looking but short staffed. So if shoppers make a mess of the fruit and vegetable displays it may take a while before staff can come and put the displays back in order. Keep in mind that this particular ALDI doesn't have any self-checkout options.
