This place feels like what I remember KMart being like before it started to really go down hill. It's not a bad place, but the parking lot pretty much is. They tend to have what you order online, but when you go inside to pick up because they decided that day that they're either understaffed or don't feel like bringing it out to your car, you realize that this place is a bit disorganized. Returns checkout where they tell you to go has two sets of registers... one for returns and another for order pickup & registry. They'll just close the order pickup one and then not tell you... they'll pretend that the register isn't there and that you're not standing in front of it because you read the signs. Then employees will come and ignore you... if you're trans, they'll even misgender you despite a transman working there too... well, whatever... that's the area, I guess. Speaking of the area, I parked my car in the "pick up area" because they said they weren't coming out because of "inclement weather" while it wasn't that cold, not snowing, not raining, not even windy, just overcast... they were just understaffed and didn't bother to mention it while you placed the order. So then I dealt with the rest of it when you went inside... and you realized that the entire returns area is just a complete mess with no lane boundaries.. and just walking around shopping carts. The neighborhood seems to be taking a downward turn because as I come out of my car to go inside, two high school kids come up and ask if I wanted to buy candy for their high school... this is the kind of 3rd world crap I'd deal with if I went to my father's home country of the Dominican Republic where they try to make you buy Chiclets gum you don't want. I used to get pick up orders here instead of Clifton Park where I lived because they'd actually have stuff here I wanted to get vs Clifton Park. But I'm a bit done with Target now. Between that experience and the one where I went down the road to Cohoes and they gave me all dented food and some expired products, this is about what KMart stared becoming in the 90s near me... just people not caring and disorganization. I hate going to the returns counter and next time I have that start of an experience, I'll just cancel the order and let you all put the food back. The area just seems like it's going down hill and it's probably not just the Target, but even Papa Johns on the other side of the lot feels like you walked into a bad part of town and everyone's just looking for a fight.... There are better places to go. read more

Target Drive up/Pick up 5 plus stars Due to an injury, I have been using Target Drive Up pickup, and I am amazed how efficient the service is. It is a well thought out process that benefits the customer. It has been a convenient, huge time saver for me. First, shopping in the Target App for groceries and other items is easy. Items can be removed from your cart. Toiletries, clothing, toys, books etc. are also available for drive up. The app even lets you know if there is a special offer on the item. AND I get 5% off everything by using my Target charge card which is on file. Second and most importantly, drive up pickup is whenever time during open hours that you want to pick up! This differs from the set time frame given by Hannaford and other supermarkets. Consequently, it is more convenient and good for busy individuals. Frozen and perishable food items are separated and held for you in appropriate spaces. Process all on Target App: 1. You let them know when you are in your way in app. You have been notified that your order is ready for pick up. 2. You park in a designated spot in parking lot and let them know spot number. 3. They know make of car because you told them. 4. They ask where you would like groceries to be placed - back seat, trunk, hatchback etc. 5. Someone comes out in a few minutes, seems almost immediately. 6. You show number of your order in app. 7. Groceries are put in your car and off you go! Everything is packed well. Substitutions can be made for out of stock items or you are not charged. Life changer for many including for those who work and/or who have young children. read more

We have both purchased in store and had purchases delivered via online shopping over the years and, today for the first time, picked up groceries in store after placing ordered online. It was free and they sent an email notification that the order was ready for pickup, and the pickup was pain free, so would do it again for sure. The lessened enthusiasm over the last few years has to do with Target stopping carrying Mossimo clothing and replacing with what we feel are of lesser quality, which is why we haven't bought any clothing from Target in years and is the reason for a star deduction. Besides the above, for me Target is still one of the top considerations for shopping in terms of value, overall customer service, selection, and store layout. I hope they continue to improve. read more

My local target growing up in nisky. This target location upgraded and renovated to a modernized architecture department store. I liked the beauty/cosmetic sections where it's designed like Sephora makeup floor with lots of lightings, center aisle and sections for different beauty products. Service is always great, I like to go to target at night rather than day time to avoid the crowds. AREA OF IMPROVEMENT Many times when I go to return some products. I noticed there's a long line ppl waiting to return things as well. There's a staffing issue happening almost everyday in the return/exchange counter. Target should allocate floor staffs accordingly to accommodate to customers. read more

This is a nice, clean target and is usually pretty well stocked. This used to be my local one for several years but I still come down here to this one occasionally because they have things I need that the target closest to me now doesn't have. It is also a safe location and there are many other shops in the plaza including a grocery store so you can get everything you need here. The only thing that stinks about this one is the traffic pattern in the shopping plaza. For some reason, people are always confused at the stop signs. Seems like stop signs are the hardest for people to use in this region, lol. Maybe they should swap them out for rotaries. ;-) read more

Wow, was at this Target at Mohawk Commons Mall today, January 8, 2019, and couldn't believe how messy the store was. I walked by several people working throughout the store and not one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. There were several areas in domestics and personal care that were almost empty. It was difficult for me to find a deodorant that I liked as they were out of so many items. It appeared that they might be getting some new stock in as there were boxes of freight sitting in cartons in some of the aisles around the store. The apparel areas were really a mess. I needed to pick up a new Fitbit while traveling & I found that this Target was very conveniently located along my route. Upon entering i immediately experienced what some Target shoppers call "Target Envy ." That's the feeling you get when you visit a Target store that's better than the one you have at home. Very nice and clean store with helpful & attentive staff! I was able to quickly navigate the aisles and find an associate who could unlock a Fitbit and then ring me out at her register in store. I was able to complete my purchase & get back on the road without skipping a beat! Yay! read more

What is it with retail department stores in this area? With all the competition, you'd think the locations would step up to the plate and deliver something consistent. This particular Target is small: they've included a grocery section, to no apparent purpose (Price Chopper is on the OTHER SIDE OF THE PARKING LOT). What this has wrought is a Target (a chain I actually like) that does not have as many multiple brands or as many departments as the Targets I'm accustomed to, or compared to, say, the ones in Clifton Park or closer in to Albany. They also don't carry some things that would be quite useful (larger installation items - racks, étageres, and the like) probably due to lack of size, but telling me to go to Lowe's for items doesn't work when Lowe's doesn't carry them. All that I could normally forgive, but this store's consistently messy (tags and stock on the floor), harshly lit, and has no amenities (small out of date bathrooms, no Starbucks, nothing but their very sad-looking snack bar that looks like the concession stand at a movie theater that is about to go out of business after subdividing an old theater building.) I'll be back because it's close but it's just not going to get that much business from me except when I have to get something I know they have and there aren't other alternatives. That's the exact OPPOSITE of what you want from Target, which is one-stop shopping with long miscellaneous list. read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Schenectady, New York

This store is definitely changing its look but I'm also wondering if they're going out of business while doing it because a lot of their shelves are empty or at least half empty. You walk up and down some of the Isles and it's almost like that half of the store doesn't exist. I was not sure if it was because they're remodeling and that was the reason but I'm assuming that that is what it was. I wasn't able to find everything that I was looking for but I did find a backpack for my son for a decent price for school and I was also able to find a couple odds and ends that I was looking for so overall The Experience there was not too bad. I will say that when you get up to the front of the register that's when it starts getting a little bit hectic because again they only have two or three registers going as The Story begins the bottleneck to leave of course you have the automated check out where you do it yourself but if you have a lot of things then you're not going to want to do all of that yourself for the most part some people are not technologically inclined and do not like those things at all and in New York we are not allowed to use bags without being charged so that makes things a little difficult as well unless we bring our own bags with us. All these things being said we ended up getting through the line fairly easily and the person who checked us out was very personable and very nice and I would definitely recommend that you try this experience it is a good store a bit pricey but a good store overall. I like Target a lot and this is the one closest to me. It's a Target with the usual Target perks: fast check out lines, staff always available but not up-your-butt intrusive, and an impressive selection of home decor bric-a-brac no one really needs but sort of wants anyway. Only two small criticisms: 1) When this particular store changes over department selection or displays, entire sections lie ripped up and bare during peak business hours. It would be nice if this sort of thing was done overnight or during early/late hours so there is always product on the shelves and not huge chunks of bare fixtures every two or three times you visit. 2) Clearance is dumped on endcaps and never really seems to be straightened. It looks gross and is pretty intimidating to pick through. Still an okay Target, but the stores in Latham and Colonie seem to be a little more well-tended and stocked. read more

This is a great target, the only reason I don't give it all the stars is because its not the BEST target. I find happiness in the Targets that have starbucks, and this one does not. It also appears to have less of a clothing selection, I could be wrong it just feels like there just isn't as much in this target. Its clean, its organized, the lay out is the same as all target's. Overall clean target and has most of the common essentials you would find anywhere else. I did notice a really bad smell something in the sewage happened, something went wrong! I always feel like not enough registers are available they are understaff from returns/customer service to just the check out lines. Get to fixing that Target. read more

Target.....so I stopped here 1 day to get a small printing calculator that is used for a small business. It was bright and early when the store first opened. All the floor employees and manager standing in a circle. I asked one of the employees if they had printing calculators, he was confused. The question was passed down to the next and the next and about 7 of the employees don't know if they have it in their inventory......it was disappointing. read more

I tried to buy registry gifts, couldn't find the ones I wanted and tried to get help at customer service. I couldn't get anyone to assist, the clerk stood around making no effort to do anything. So I took my $200 to Bed Bath and Beyond, got great service and help, and free gift-wrapping. I told them at Target I would just go elsewhere with my money since it's so hard for them to figure out how to help people. read more
