Store layout can be a little confusing. Hot foods are decent but on the pricey side. The deli is also pricey. Great meat and seafood department. Wide selection and good quality products but usually I only buy sale items, unless something catches my interest. Checkout lines aren't usually too long but I head to self checkout area which is usually a smooth transaction.

Really I like Giant Eagle, I just avoid the fruit & veg (expensive) and bread (Schwebels Italiano for $4.75!?!) aisles. Not even worth walking down them. Just stick with sale items, items you get cheap because of the Giant Eagle card, and the meat dept. but only for sale and items getting marked down because the sell by date is getting close. The employees are always friendly, and helpful. The store is well stocked, except for Asian food items which is pretty crappy. Two kinds of soy sauce? Seriously? Overall, this Giant Eagle gets four of five stars. Oh, and a s###-ton of different brands and flavors of ice cream. I do like that.

He offered his loyalty card for my water. Nice guy. I got it at a discount. But somehow, I got charged for 10 cents more. I swore I hit I got my own bag. Oh well. Time was running out. I could care less about that dime.

The only issue is that the items come and go just like Trader Joe's. I love the hummus chips that pop up every once in a while, but then they go away quickly. I have always loved the fact that they never use plastic bags, which is very sustainable. It is very good to have them in the neighborhood. Please note: if you park out in the front you will not be able to transport your groceries in a cart out to your car. The store is wired so that the cart gets locked up if you try to leave out of the front door. This can suck if the back parking lot is full.

My husband commented that the chicken cost less than the chicken at other grocery stores. We purchased several snack foods and beverages for a stay in a nearby hotel. The cashier performed their job well. We did not have to wait in line for long, and the transaction had no errors.

And during this COVID pandemic tonight I found paper products (TP, paper towels) in plenty supply. And I picked up the last 2 GE brand hand soaps for 1.00 each. This is my preferred GE location on the way home from work. Kennywood is closer to home but produce is not as fresh. And.
